LHP Jose Quintana wasn't officially named the Cubs' Game 1 starter in the NLCS until Saturday morning. Quintana's wife fell ill in the team's charter flight from Washington to Los Angeles early Friday morning. Manager Joe Maddon said he waited as long as possible to make sure Quintana was up for the assignment. He gave up two runs on two hits in five innings.
