Sun Aug 28 202216:38Ronald Acuna Jr. Remains Out Of The Lineup
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. (rest) is out of the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals. The organization had Acuna sit out Saturday as well, so clearly they want him to get some extra rest. It doesn't sound like the 24-year-old is dealing with an injury. Robbie Grossman will cover right field and bat ninth against right-hander Adam Wainwright on Sunday. The expectation is that Acuna will be back in the lineup for Tuesday's contest, but fantasy managers will have to check back on Tuesday.

Sat Aug 27 202218:34Ronald Acuna Jr. Not In Lineup Saturday
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. is out of the lineup tonight against the St. Louis Cardinals. Manager Brian Snitker said that it is just a day of rest for Acuna, so hopefully he can get back in there tomorrow. Although his numbers are solid, Acuna has been a bit of a disappointment for fantasy managers this season. He has just 57 runs, 35 RBI, and 10 homers over 354 at-bats this season. The 25 steals are certainly a nice addition, but more power numbers were expected from the Braves' superstar. He has been dealing with multiple injuries, which could be part of the reason for the power dip. Still, he's certainly worthy of starting in all formats. Guillermo Heredia, Robbie Grossman, and Michael Harris II will cover the outfield in Acuna's absence.

Mon Aug 15 202218:02Ronald Acuna Jr. Returns To The Lineup On Monday
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. (knee) is back in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the New York Mets. Acuna was removed from Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Miami Marlins due to right knee soreness. The team held him out as a precaution on Sunday. The 24-year-old has been on a nice run lately. Over 13 games in August, he's slashed .354/.415/.521 with two homers, three stolen bases, six RBI and nine runs.

Sun Aug 14 202200:07Ronald Acuna Jr. Day-To-Day With Sore Knee
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. was removed from the second game of a doubleheader Saturday with knee soreness, but the club insists it was precautionary and he should be considered day-to-day. The 24-year-old played the full nine innings of game one, and made it through seven innings of the evening tilt before getting lifted after going 2-for-4 with a homer. Acuna mentioned that playing on the turf in Miami had an impact on his soreness, so managers should monitor his situation before tomorrow's finale to see if the Braves give him a day off before returning home for a series against the Mets starting on Monday.

Tue Aug 9 202216:33Ronald Acuna Jr. Playing Tuesday
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. is back in right field and is hitting in his usual leadoff spot on Tuesday against the Boston Red Sox and left-hander Rich Hill. Acuna was scratched from Sunday's lineup due to lower-body soreness, but he came in as a pinch-hitter and is ready to resume starting duties after the team's off day on Monday. Fantasy managers need to get him back into their lineups in all leagues. The three-time All-Star is hitting .267/.359/.406 with nine home runs, 28 RBI, 44 runs scored and 23 stolen bases in 334 plate appearances and 74 games played. Injuries have kept him off the field more than fantasy managers would like in 2022, but he's a must-start when he's in the starting lineup.

Wed Jul 27 202211:01Ronald Acuna Jr. Heads To The Bench Wednesday
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. isn't in the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Philadelphia Phillies. Acuna is in a bit of a slump at the plate lately and will get a normal day to rest, so fantasy managers need to pull him out of their lineups. His recent cold stretch has dropped his season line to .259/.357/.398 with eight home runs, 23 RBI, 39 runs scored and 21 stolen bases in 251 at-bats. Acuna is still a must-start in fantasy when he's on the field. Eddie Rosario is starting in right field and hitting fifth against Phillies right-hander Kyle Gibson. In only 96 at-bats in 2022, Rosario has struggled, going 14-for-96 (.146) with two home runs and six RBI.

Tue Jul 26 202209:59Ronald Acuna Jr. Secures His 21st Stolen Base Monday
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. went 1-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base in the team's 6-4 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday. He now has eight stolen bases over 21 games this month and a total of 21 stolen bases across 63 games on the year. Despite missing significant time due to injuries, Acuna is tied for third in all of the majors in stolen bases. His elite production on the base paths has helped make up for his disappointing output in other categories thus far in 2022. He owns a .264/.363/.407 slash line on the year to go along with just eight home runs. His .770 OPS is a career-low clip, well below his career .904 OPS. His underlying metrics are also mostly down from his career marks, but he still maintains a 90th percentile average exit velocity (91.6 mph) and a 95th percentile xwOBA (.378).

Sat Jul 16 202208:43Ronald Acuna Jr. Swipes His 20th Bag Of The Year
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. went 1-for-5 with a single, a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 8-4 win over the Washington Nationals. He has now stolen a base in three consecutive games and he has 20 steals on the year. Apart from his elite base-running, Acuna has been a bit underwhelming for fantasy purposes this season. Across 58 games, he's slashed .270/.366/.420 with eight home runs, 22 RBI and 38 runs. While his underlying stats are mostly down from previous years, they still suggest that he's been a bit unlucky so far. He has a .289 xBA and a .557 xSLG and his 116.6 mph max exit velocity ranks in the 98th percentile. Expect to see some better power numbers from Acuna during the second half of the season.

Fri Jul 1 202214:37Ronald Acuna Jr. Returns Against Reds
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. (foot) is back in the starting lineup for the series opener on Friday against Cincinnati Reds left-hander Mike Minor. Acuna is serving as the designated hitter and will bat leadoff, and fantasy managers need to get him back into their lineups in all single-year formats. The 24-year-old All-Star will return for the first time since fouling a ball off his foot last Saturday against the Los Angeles Dodgers. It may be a few games before he returns to his usual spot in right field, but the only thing fantasy managers care about is that he's back in the lineup. Acuna is hitting .281/.372/.455 on the season with an .828 OPS, seven home runs, 18 RBI, 28 runs scored and 13 stolen bases in 43 games. He's a must-start.

Thu Jun 30 202216:19Braves Hopeful Ronald Acuna Jr. Will Return Friday
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. (foot) will be held out of the starting lineup for the fourth consecutive game on Thursday as the team takes on the Philadelphia Phillies. According to David O'Brien of The Athletic, Acuna joined the team for pregame stretching and batting practice on Thursday. There's a chance he could be available off the bench as a pinch-hitter on Thursday, but Braves manager Brian Snitker hasn't received confirmation of his availability from the team trainer yet. Regardless, Acuna appears to be getting close to a return and Snitker is hopeful that Acuna will be back in the starting lineup for Friday's series opener against the Cincinnati Reds.

Thu Jun 30 202214:24Ronald Acuna Jr. Out Against Phillies
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. (foot) remains out of the starting lineup on Thursday against the Philadelphia Phillies. Acuna will miss his fourth straight game after fouling a ball off his foot last Saturday against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The 24-year-old remains in Atlanta while receiving treatment, but fantasy managers will be crossing their fingers that he can rejoin the team for a series this weekend against the Cincinnati Reds that begins on Friday. Acuna hasn't been able to escape the injury bug this year, but he's been a stud when he's been on the field. Adam Duvall is starting in right field again and is batting seventh, while William Contreras is the designated hitter and is batting sixth against Phillies right-hander Aaron Nola on Thursday.

Wed Jun 29 202215:04Ronald Acuna Jr. Still Missing From Lineup
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. (foot) remains out of the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Philadelphia Phillies. Acuna hasn't played since fouling a ball off his foot last Saturday, and although X-rays were negative for any fractures, he's missed three straight games and could still wind up on the injured list if he doesn't improve soon. The 24-year-old remains in Atlanta to receive treatment, but his fantasy managers will be hoping that he can join the team in Cincinnati for a series against the Reds this weekend. Adam Duvall is in right field again while hitting seventh on Wednesday, and Travis d'Arnaud will serve as the designated hitter and bat second against Phillies left-hander Ranger Suarez.

Tue Jun 28 202215:17Ronald Acuna Jr. Still Out Tuesday
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. (foot) remains out of the starting lineup on Tuesday against the division-rival Philadelphia Phillies. Acuna fouled a ball off his left foot on Saturday and hasn't played since, and Monday's off day wasn't enough to get him past the injury. The 24-year-old superstar just can't seem to get past injuries in 2022, and his latest foot ailment could put him on the injured list. Acuna doesn't have a fracture in his foot, but he's using a medical scooter to get around at the moment. If you have him rostered, plan for the worst. With Acuna out again on Tuesday, Mike Ford enters the lineup as the designated hitter and is batting sixth against Phillies right-hander Zack Wheeler. Ford has already been with three teams this year and has gone 6-for-33 (.182) with no home runs and five RBI in 18 games played with the Braves, Giants and Mariners.

Sun Jun 26 202217:32Ronald Acuna Jr. Doesn't Have A Fracture
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. (foot) requested a medical scooter because he can't put much pressure on his injured left foot, but he doesn't have a fracture and isn't using a protective boot or crutches. Acuna said he hopes to be back in a couple of days, but that any possible injured list decision isn't up to him. The Braves are being extra cautious with the All-Star outfielder after he fouled a ball off his foot on Saturday, and he's out of the lineup for Sunday night's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The 24-year-old could miss a couple more games, but fantasy managers just hope he doesn't need to go on the IL. Acuna is hitting a strong .281/.372/.455 with an .828 OPS, seven homers, 18 RBI, 28 runs scored and 13 stolen bases this year. Adam Duvall is in right field and is hitting eighth on Sunday against Dodgers right-hander Tony Gonsolin.

Acuna fouled a ball off his foot in the ninth inning of Saturday's game and he was removed from the game after the incident. Thu Jun 23 202211:04Ronald Acuna Jr., Austin Riley Resting Thursday
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. and third baseman Austin Riley are not in the starting lineup on Thursday against the San Francisco Giants. Adam Duvall is also getting a day of rest for the Braves in the matinee game. Acuna got a late start to the season due to injury, but he's still a must-start fantasy asset when he's on the field, and he's hitting .275/.367/.456 with an .823 OPS, seven home runs, 18 RBI, 26 runs scored and 12 stolen bases in 41 games. Riley has been an excellent source of power with 18 home runs, an .836 OPS, 41 RBI and 39 runs scored in 69 games for the Braves. Guillermo Heredia is in right field and is hitting eighth on Thursday against Giants left-hander Alex Wood. William Contreras will serve as the designated hitter and bat fifth, while Orlando Arcia will play third base and hit sixth.

Tue Jun 21 202214:27Ronald Acuna Jr. Once Again Producing At Elite Level
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. is enjoying another highly productive season at the plate. The outfielder is batting .272 with a .369 on-base percentage, six home runs, and 12 stolen bases in 179 plate appearances so far. Entering play on Tuesday, Acuna was one of just nine outfielders to register at least five home runs and 10 stolen bases this season. With the ability to provide elite home run and stolen base totals, the 24-year-old should continue to be one of the best fantasy options at his position for the rest of the season.

The 24-year-old superstar is off to a great start to the month of June. Over seven games this month, he's slashing .393/.455/.750 with three home runs, two stolen bases, five RBI and nine runs.

Thu Jun 2 202218:05Ronald Acuna Jr. Returns As Designated Hitter
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. is back in the starting lineup as the designated hitter and is batting in his usual leadoff spot on Thursday against Colorado Rockies left-hander Austin Gomber. Acuna was held out of Wednesday's game with undisclosed soreness, and it's unknown if it was related to a quadriceps injury that kept him out for three straight games last week. In any event, the 24-year-old superstar is back in the lineup, and fantasy managers need to return him to their starting lineups immediately. Injuries have limited him to just 81 at-bats in 2022, but he's been excellent when on the field, hitting .284/.394/.432 with an .826 OPS, two home runs, 10 RBI, 13 runs scored and nine stolen bases in 22 games.

Wed Jun 1 202214:37Ronald Acuna Jr. Dealing With Soreness
Updating a previous report, Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. is out of the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Arizona Diamondbacks because he came in a little sore. The Braves are maintaining a day-to-day approach. Acuna missed three games last week with a right quadriceps injury, but it's uncertain if his soreness is related to that injury or his surgically repaired right knee that delayed his start to the 2022 season. Hopefully, this doesn't turned into an extended absence from one of the best players in baseball. When on the field this year, the 24-year-old superstar has been great, hitting .284/.394/.432 with an .826 OPS, two home runs, 10 RBI and nine stolen bases in 81 at-bats. Guillermo Heredia is starting in right field and hitting eighth on Wednesday against Diamondbacks left-hander Madison Bumgarner.
