Smith completed 16-of-30 passes for just 181 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's game against the Bears. He also gained 21 yards on three carries.
The veteran failed to capitalize on a favorable matchup, as only one receiver not named Jeremy Maclin caught more than one pass, which explains the inefficiency. Smith failed to top 200 yards passing for just the second time this season, and he could be forced into some extra throws in the future, as Kansas City adjusts to the likely loss of Jamaal Charles to a knee injury. Charles' absence would arguably harm Smith's fantasy value more than it helps, as the former was a large part of the passing game as the centerpiece of the Chiefs' attack. Smith and company will begin this new phase of their season in Minnesota in Week 6.

Manning completed 41 of 54 passes for 441 yards (8.2 YPA), three touchdowns and an interception.
More impressively, Manning led the team on a game-winning drive largely without Odell Beckham, who re-entered for two plays at the end, and entirely without No. 2 WR Rueben Randle who also hurt his hamstring. Manning connected to Dwayne Harris, tight-end Larry Donnell and running back Shane Vereen, among others, in crunch time for the win. Going forward, Beckham's and Randle's statuses are unknown, and Victor Cruz isn't expected back for a while, so Manning's value could take a hit next week against the Eagles.

Kaepernick turned in his first fantasy-friendly line since week 2, completing 23-of-35 passes for 262 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the 30-27 loss to the Giants. He added 23 yards on three carries.
More impressive than his offensive output was the fact that Kaepernick did not throw an interception after throwing five over his last two games. Whether it was the playcalling, a poor offensive line, or simply a regression in field vision, it was starting to look like Kaepernick had completely lost his ability to throw the ball. Luckily for his owners (and his job security), Kaepernick was able to find his touch when the team needed him to make a late push. He will have two-quarterback and deep league appeal next week when the 49ers take on the Ravens who just surrendered 457 yards to Josh McCown.

Thomas caught two of his three targets for 20 yards in his season debut Sunday against the Buccaneers.
The 27-year-old was largely limited to passing situations after shaking off a hand injury, but he made significant progress this week and should gradually transition into a more prominent role. Thomas should serve as a big factor in the Jaguars' red zone offense and is expected to serve as a security blanket for an improving Blake Bortles. Expect Thomas to see more playing time in Week 6, when the Texas visit Jacksonville.

Gerhart rushed just once and gained two yards in Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. He failed to haul in his only target.
The 28-year-old received just one touch for the second week in a row and has netted zero total yards in that time. Starter T.J. Yeldon suffered a groin injury Sunday, however, so Gerhart's workload could temporarily expand if the former misses game action. It has become clear though, that Gerhart is an afterthought whenever the Jags' backfield is at full health.
Sun Oct 11 201523:17McCown suffered ankle injury on winning drive in overtime Sunday...Josh McCownQBBearsFree Agent
McCown suffered an ankle injury on the winning drive in overtime Sunday against Baltimore and was seen afterward limping in the locker room. "One of the linemen was telling me he got bull-rushed and held and tackled into me, so I rolled my ankle," he told the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "It feels all right. At the moment it was pretty painful. I think I'll be fine, though."
McCown didn't need to come out of the game, so the injury sounds minor. Still, we'll need to watch his progress this week to make sure it isn't something more significant. McCown was 36-of-51 passing for 457 yards and two touchdowns in the win.

Rainey amassed 85 yards on three punt returns in Sunday's 38-31 victory over the Jaguars.
Rainey continued his strong special team play with his productive day on punt returns, and two of his runbacks kickstarted drives that eventually led to Doug Martin touchdowns. His game-high 58-yard return in the second quarter set the Bucs up at the Jaguars' 17-yard line, leading to the starting tailback's 10-yard jaunt into the end zone on a third-down reception. Meanwhile, Rainey's 25-yard sprint midway through the third quarter allowed Jameis Winston and company to start the ensuing drive at the Jaguars' 40, a possession that culminated in Martin's one-yard leap into the end zone. On a team that must endure the trials and tribulations inherent in starting a rookie quarterback, Rainey's weekly special teams contributions have been integral in frequently shortening the field for the Bucs' offense.

Moore caught six passes off of eight targets for 55 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's loss to Arizona.
Moore collected his most targets, catches and yards since 2013 on Sunday. With tight end Eric Ebron out with a knee injury, Moore saw an uptick in production during Week 5 and could be primed for a repeat performance if Ebron is held out again Week 6 given the Lions' dependency on passing the ball.

Bush aggravated his calf injury in Sunday's game and is questionable to return.
The severity of Bush's injury is uncertain, but it could sideline him for the rest of Sunday's game against the Giants. His status will be updated when more details are released.

Daniels failed to catch any of the five passes thrown his way Sunday against the Raiders.
Oakland had given up some monster games to opposing tight ends this season, making Daniels' donut even tougher to swallow. The Broncos' passing game has struggled this season, which has included having Daniels stay on the line to block because of offensive line issues. He doesn't have nearly the receiving upside as Julius Thomas did the past two years, and while Daniels is good for a touchdown here and there, his fantasy upside is fairly limited.

Blount had 13 carries for 74 yards in Sunday's 30-6 win at Dallas. He was on the field for 17 offensive snaps, compared to 43 for Dion Lewis, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.
Lewis got the large majority of snaps, but Blount made his presence felt with a couple of nice runs, including a 34-yard scamper at one point. Lewis finished with just six carries for 34 yards, but was once again productive as a pass catcher, hauling in 8-of-11 targets for 59 yards and a touchdown. After receiving just two carries in Week 2, Blount has been more a factor in the last two games, averaging 76 yards on the ground with three touchdowns. Next week, the Pats will travel to Indianapolis, which has been average against the run this season.

Thomas had five catches on eight targets for 55 yards Sunday against the Raiders.
The Broncos' offense continues to struggle, with quarterback Peyton Manning failing to throw a touchdown pass Sunday. Emmanuel Sanders led the way by catching nine passes on 12 targets for 111 yards, which helped contribute to Thomas' muted output. Nevertheless, Thomas still has tremendous upside each week, and he'll look to break out next Sunday against the Browns before a Week 7 bye.
Sun Oct 11 201521:35Sanders caught nine passes on 12 targets for 111 yards Sunday ag...Emmanuel SandersWRSteelersFree Agent
Sanders caught nine passes on 12 targets for 111 yards Sunday against the Raiders.
After four straight games to start the season with fewer than 90 yards, Sanders finally broke the 100-yard mark, though he's failed to score in four of five games. The Broncos' offense has been struggling as a whole, though Sanders still gets enough targets to make him a solid option in most PPR formats. Up next is a trip to Cleveland before a Week 7 bye.
Sun Oct 11 201521:32Lewis ran for 34 yards on six carries and caught 8-of-11 targets...Dion LewisRBEaglesFree Agent
Lewis ran for 34 yards on six carries and caught 8-of-11 targets for 59 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 30-6 win at Dallas. He was on the field for 43 offensive snaps, compared to 17 for LeGarrette Blount, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.
Lewis was a force throughout, continually making defenders miss, and had perhaps the play of the game on his 10-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter. On the play, Lewis made a one-handed catch, juked a defender, ducked under another, and then powered his way over the goal line. He might have had a short touchdown late in the second quarter, as it looked like he was going to get the ball at the one-yard line after his 13-yard run, but the Cowboys called a timeout. After the pause in action, Lewis was not on the field, and Tom Brady scored on a QB sneak. No matter, it was another productive game for Lewis, who continues to be heavily involved. He and the Patriots will take on the Colts in Indianapolis next week.

Hillman rushed seven times for 21 yards and caught one pass on two targets for five receiving yards Sunday against the Raiders.
Only days after head coach Gary Kubiak said Hillman deserved to get more touches thanks to his solid play of late, the fourth-year running back finished with four fewer carries than he had in Week 4, all while starter C.J. Anderson rushed 11 times for just 22 yards. The Broncos' offensive line isn't creating enough holes, and because of their struggles in pass protection, the running backs are being asked to block more, none of which lines up well for fantasy success. Up next is a Week 6 trip to Cleveland before a Week 7 bye.
Sun Oct 11 201521:20Manning completed 22-of-35 passes for 266 yards Sunday against R...Peyton ManningQBBroncosFree Agent
Manning completed 22-of-35 passes for 266 yards Sunday against the Raiders, but he was picked off twice and sacked twice for a loss of 12 yards.
The Broncos' offense, led by Manning, continues to struggle, as Manning has thrown for just one touchdown in the last two games combined. He now has six touchdowns and seven interceptions through five games, a stark contrast to his previous seasons in Denver. He connected with seven different receivers Sunday, with Emmanuel Sanders leading the way by catching nine passes on 12 targets for 111 yards. The running game is also not producing much, which puts even more pressure on Manning to put up numbers despite a shaky offensive line. He'll look to turn it around in Week 6 against the Browns before a Week 7 bye.

Amendola caught 2-of-3 targets for six yards in Sunday's 30-6 win at Dallas.
It could have been a much bigger game for Amendola, who had two long receptions wiped out by penalty. Aaron Dobson was a healthy scratch Sunday, so it appears as though Amendola is locked in as New England's starting wideout opposite Julian Edelman, at least until Brandon LaFell (foot) is activated from the team's PUP list, which could happen as early as Week 7. Next week, the Patriots will play at Indianapolis.
Sun Oct 11 201521:15Jones caught two passes off of three targets for 77 yards and to...James JonesWRPackersFree Agent
Jones caught two passes off of three targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win over St. Louis.
Jones did the bulk of his damage on a 65-yard post where he caught the ball and pulled away from Rams safety Rodney McLeod to find the end zone. Aaron Rodgers' safety blanket has seen a drop in opportunities recently, seeing fewer catches and targets in each of the last two weeks. He is now tied with tight end Richard Rodgers for second on the team in receptions and ranks third behind Rodgers and Randall Cobb in targets. All fantasy owners really care about, however, are what he's done with those targets and, to that end, Jones is still shining. Jones has scored in four of five games and his five touchdown grabs rank second in the league.

Season will not return to Sunday's game against the 49ers after suffering a concussion in the first quarter, Newsday's Tom Rock reports.
Beason suffered the injury on a tackling attempt early in Sunday's game. He was replaced in the contest by Uani Unga. Expect the team to update his status at some point following the game.

Edelman caught four passes on five targets for 120 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 30-6 win at Dallas.
Edelman was having somewhat of a quiet game, until he slipped free for a 59-yard touchdown early in the fourth quarter. On the play, Edelman showed off his signature elusiveness, making several defenders miss. Sunday's game marked the first time this season in which Edelman saw less than 10 targets, but Tom Brady attempted just 27 passes. There will be a lot of extra motivation for the Pats next week at Indianapolis, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Tom Brady air it out early and often, providing lots of opportunities for Edelman.
