Baynes posted a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds in 23 minutes off the bench Sunday.
Baynes has three double-doubles this season despite averaging just 15 minutes per game through the 35 games he's played in. His per-36 averages this season are 15 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 0.7 blocks. If he were ever to earn a significant role, Baynes could be of use in standard leagues for points, rebounds, and percentages.

Baynes (neck) was left off San Antonio's injury report and will likely be available against the Timberwolves on Saturday.
Baynes has missed two games with neck spasms but that streak will seemingly cease to exist if he sees action against the Timberwolves on Saturday. Despite being available, Baynes is only averaging 15.6 minutes on the court this season and won't likely see significant minutes Saturday.
Fri Jan 9 201519:30Baynes (neck) ruled out for Friday's game
Baynes (neck) has been ruled out for Friday's game, the San Antonio Express-News' Jeff McDonald reports.
Baynes had not played more than 10 minutes in any of his last three games, so he is a very low-end fantasy option, even when healthy. Consider him day-to-day for now.

Baynes (neck) is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Suns, the San Antonio Express-News reports.
Baynes has been dealing with neck spasms and missed Tuesday's game against the Pistons as a result of that ailment. If he's ultimately deemed unfit for Friday's game, his next available return date would be Saturday against the Timberwolves.
Tue Jan 6 201521:00Baynes will not play in Tuesday's game due to neck spasms
Baynes will not play in Tuesday's game due to neck spasms, Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express News reports.
The Spurs did not announce this until after the game started. However, Baynes has not seen 15 minutes in a game in any of his last five appearances, so he should not have been used in many formats. Consider him day-to-day.

Baynes scored 16 points (6-11 FG, 4-4 FT) with 10 rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block in 31 minutes starting in place of Tim Duncan (rest) on Saturday.
This was Baynes' sixth start of the season and his second double-double. In those starts, Baynes has averaged 11.7 points and 7.8 rebounds and makes a solid streaming option in the instances when Tim Duncan rests.

Baynes scored 15 points (6-9 FG, 3-4 FT) with nine rebounds and a steal in 32 minutes during Monday's loss to the Trail Blazers.
He continues to supply solid production on nights when he gets the start in place of Tim Duncan, but Baynes' overall fantasy value remains limited.
Mon Dec 15 201421:07Baynes will start Monday at Portland for resting Tim Duncan
Baynes will start Monday at Portland for the resting Tim Duncan, the San Antonio Express-News reports.
In four previous nods this season, Baynes supplied 9.8 points (on 43 percent shooting), seven rebounds, and 0.8 assists in 25 minutes per game, including a near double-double on Dec. 1. Expect him to return to a bench gig, though, in the Spurs' next tilt Wednesday against the Grizzlies.

Baynes scored 15 points (6-9 FG, 3-4 FT) to go along with nine rebounds and one steal in 29 minutes Monday against Philadelphia.
Baynes started Monday in place of Tim Duncan (rest) and took advantage of a poor Philadelphia roster. Don't look now, but Baynes has scored at least 10 points in five of his last six games and has grabbed at least eight rebounds in three of those six games. He's not going to provide much in assists, steals, blocks or three-pointers, so his value is still limited even if he starts to score and rebound on a consistent basis.
Mon Dec 1 201419:01Baynes will start at center Monday in Philadelphia
Baynes will start at center Monday in Philadelphia, the San Antonio Express-News reports.
With Tim Duncan receiving a day off, Baynes is slotting into the starting five for the third time this season. In two previous nods, Baynes averaged 7.0 points (on 33 percent shooting), 7.0 boards, and 1.5 assists in 25 minutes.

Baynes, who made just his second start of the season, scored just two points (1-5 FG) with two rebounds and three assists in 18 minutes Saturday.
Baynes replaced Matt Bonner in the starting lineup from Friday's game, but wasn't able to perform like he did in his last start, that is, register a double-double. Baynes remains a deep league only fantasy option.

Baynes went back to the bench with Tim Duncan returning, scoring just four points (2-3 FG, 0-2 FT) with four rebounds in 16 minutes Saturday.
Baynes has some value as a fantasy option, but only in situation like Thursday, when both Tim Duncan and Tiago Splitter were out. Otherwise, he's safe to leave on the waiver-wire.
Thu Nov 6 201422:42Baynes started Thursday's game against Rockets while Tim Duncan ...
Baynes started Thursday's game against the Rockets while Tim Duncan sat, playing 31 minutes and scoring 12 points (4-10 FG, 4-5 FT).
Baynes obviously won't see this much time going forward, so there's no use owning him in most leagues. However, he was productive with Duncan taking a rest day, pulling down 12 boards and forcing one steal.
Fri Sep 26 201416:03Baynes officially re-signed with Spurs on Friday
Baynes officially re-signed with the Spurs on Friday, the San Antonio Express-News reports.
Baynes was mulling offers from numerous teams overseas this offseason, but has decided to return to the defending champions. The signing occurs just a few days before training camp, so he won't miss any practice time with the Spurs. Baynes finished last season averaging three points, 2.7 rebounds, 0.6 assists, and 0.1 blocks in nine minutes per game. He also added some valuable experience playing in the FIBA World Cup this summer so that should only help his game. Look for Baynes to provide depth at the center and power forward positions behind the likes of Tim Duncan, Boris Diaw, Tiago Splitter and Matt Bonner.
Sun Jun 29 201413:09Spurs extend qualifying offer to Aron Baynes
The Spurs have official extended a qualifying offer to Aron Baynes, giving them the rights to match any offer he receives when free agency begins July 1.
Baynes is a big body at 6'10", but he's not exactly a hot commodity. Baynes per-36-minute numbers are decent at 11.8 points, and 10.6 rebounds, but his shooting leaves something to be desired at just 43.6 percent from the field. He was not a part of the rotation during the Spurs 2013-14 championship run.

Wed May 7 201409:59Aron Baynes earns Spurs' praise in Game 1
The Spurs praised Aron Baynes' performance during Tuesday's Game 1 victory, as Baynes came off the bench for 10 points and seven rebounds in 15 minutes of action.
Baynes logged six minutes during the entire first round of the playoffs, which made his energetic and physical play on Tuesday even more improbable. "We wanted another big just because we don't want to end up overplaying Tiago and Boris and Timmy," said this season's Coach of the Year, Gregg Popovich. "It gives them a little bit of a break if we can get some minutes out of Aron. He fit better against [Portland] than he did against Dallas."

Mon Mar 31 201412:22Aron Baynes out Monday w/ cracked rib
Aron Baynes (cracked rib) will not play vs. Indiana on Monday.
He must have hurt himself during Saturday's game, or at practice on Sunday, but his absence won't have an appreciable effect on fantasy lineups since he's averaging just nine minutes per game in March. We'll consider him day-to-day until the Spurs provide a timetable.
