Fri Feb 21 201420:53Aron Baynes will not play vs. Suns
Aron Baynes (knee) will not play against the Suns on Friday night.
It will be his second consecutive game out of the lineup and the team probably won't need him with Tiago Splitter back and looking good. Baynes can be ignore in all fantasy leagues.

Aron Baynes (knee) will not play against the Blazers on Wednesday.
His knee contusion must really be bothering him to not play in a game with Tim Duncan sitting out. Jeff Ayres figures to backup Tiago Splitter and Boris Diaw tonight.

Mon Feb 10 201422:31Aron Baynes scores four points in 20 minutes
Aron Baynes made his second start of the season on Monday with four points, six boards and two turnovers against the Pistons.
He likely was in the starting lineup in an effort to combat Andre Drummond's size, but he didn't really have it tonight. While Baynes was able to push guys around in Las Vegas Summer League, he's not having such luck with the big boys. He's not really worth owning in almost any league.

Mon Feb 10 201419:36Aron Baynes starting on Monday night
Aron Baynes will start against the Pistons on Monday night.
Of course he will. Coach Gregg Popovich has started some of the wildest lineups of all this year -- like Marco Belinelli at power forward -- and Baynes will make his second start of the season. In his first start he only played nine minutes, so there's little reason to get excited about this.

Sun Dec 15 201300:45Aron Baynes nearly double-doubles for Spurs
Aron Baynes came off the bench for nine points and eight rebounds on 4-of-8 shooting in 17 minutes on Saturday.
The eight boards were a season high and while his play tonight was encouraging, it's hard to imagine him doing much on most nights. He is kind of hot right now though, averaging 11.5 points and 7.0 rebounds over his last two games, so owners in extremely deep leagues might want to take notice.

Sat Dec 14 201319:49Aron Baynes will return on Saturday
Aron Baynes (leg) will return to the lineup for Saturday's game against the Jazz.
He has a strain in his lower leg and it's unclear how many minutes he will see tonight. Baynes might be a DNP-CD (coach's decision) or he could build off his 14-point game from Tuesday. He's still not worth owning in almost any league.

Fri Dec 13 201315:15Aron Baynes out for Friday night w/ leg issue
Aron Baynes will not play against the Wolves on Friday due to left posterior tibialis strain.
The strain in his lower leg will keep him out of his second game in a row. It's too bad since he was coming off a career-high 14 points on Tuesday. Baynes is really just called into action while the Spurs are missing players due to rest or injury, so he's not worth owning in almost any leagues.

Wed Dec 11 201319:44Aron Baynes (ankle) is a late scratch vs. MIL
Aron Baynes (ankle) will not play against the Bucks on Wednesday.
It's too bad after Baynes had a great game on Tuesday with 14 points against the Raptors. Baynes doesn't really have much of a game beyond five feet of the basket, but he certainly has an NBA body and was a very tough cover in Summer League. Boris Diaw and Jeff Ayres will get most of the minutes vs. to Tim Duncan.

Tue Dec 10 201321:27Aron Baynes scores career-high 14 points
Aron Baynes scored a career-high 14 points against the Raptors on Tuesday with six boards and one assist in 21 minutes.
He scored 10 points in the first half and he almost matched his entire season output of 17 points before tonight. Baynes was very impressive in Las Vegas Summer League and has the size to be a great low-post player. Obviously, he has a long way to go and is off the radar in all leagues.

Thu Oct 24 201323:45Aron Baynes shows off on national TV
Aron Baynes showed off on the national preseason stage on Thursday with 16 points, six boards, one assist, one steal and two blocks in just 21 minutes.
He's a mountain of a man and he pushed guys around while at Las Vegas Summer League. Baynes is no lock to be in the rotation and would likely need Tim Duncan or Tiago Splitter to miss time in order to have value. The Aussie went 322nd in a recent expert draft.

Wed Aug 21 201314:32Aron Baynes (hamstring) ready for Spurs' camp
Spurs center Aron Baynes (strained hamstring) is expected to be healthy for training camp.
Baynes hurt himself while playing for Team Australia this summer. He spent much of last season in the D-League and won't have fantasy value in a frontcourt with Tim Duncan, Boris Diaw, Tiago Splitter, Matt Bonner and Jeff Pendergraph.

Sat Aug 10 201313:21Aron Baynes out of FIBAs with hammy injury
Aron Baynes won't play in the FIBA Oceania Championships due to a hamstring injury.
There's no word on how severe the injury is, but we doubt it's anything bad enough to keep him from starting training camp on time. Baynes will try to make the Spurs out of camp, but it wouldn't surprise us if he spends time in the D-League this year.
