Roberson will start at shooting guard in Wednesday's preseason opener versus the Nuggets, The Oklahoman reports.
Roberson is the favorite to start alongside point guard Russell Westbrook in the Thunder's backcourt this season and will begin the preseason in that role Wednesday. Following averages of just 1.9 points and 2.4 rebounds in 10.0 minutes as a rookie last year, Roberson is a less-known fantasy commodity than teammate Jeremy Lamb, so their competition to start at shooting guard should be worthwhile to monitor throughout the preseason.

Roberson is considered the favorite for the Thunder's shooting guard spot by writers from The Oklahoman.
The former first-rounder seems to be the favorite because of his defense, as that's what sets him apart from his main competitor for the spot, Jeremy Lamb. Thunder general manager Sam Presti has emphasized a defensive mindset for the team recently, so advantage Roberson. If he gets the spot, that will definitely give his stats a boost, but his role on the offense might just be to step back and let Durant and Westbrook do their thing.
Mon Jul 7 201411:09The Thunder may give Roberson more minutes
The Thunder may give Andre Roberson more minutes next season.
They lost Thabo Sefolosha and his 26 minutes per game, so guys like Roberson could provide some help on the wing behind Reggie Jackson and Kevin Durant. Obviously Roberson is well off the fantasy radar in most leagues right now.

Mon Apr 7 201400:15Andre Roberson benched in second half
Andre Roberson's role shriveled vs. the Suns, as he went scoreless in only five minutes before being replaced by Derek Fisher as a starter in the second half.
Roberson started at SG but quickly gave way to Fisher, Reggie Jackson, Caron Butler and Jeremy Lamb. With Thabo Sefolosha (calf) nearing a return, there's simply no reason to cling to Roberson for fantasy value.

Sun Mar 16 201422:09Andre Roberson quiet w/ two points in start
Andre Roberson made his second straight start on Sunday, but he was held to two points on 1-of-3 shooting in a home loss to the Mavericks.
Scott Brooks was pleased with his young forward's defense vs. Jodie Meeks on Thursday, and he held an ailing Monta Ellis to nine points tonight, but it's unclear whether he'll keep the job over Perry Jones (six points) and Caron Butler (seven

Sat Mar 15 201414:00Andre Roberson to start again on Sunday
Andre Roberson will start at SG again vs. the Mavericks on Sunday.
This makes two straight starts for Roberson, who finished Thursday's game with eight points, seven rebounds, one steal and four fouls in 24 minutes. He'll spend most of his energy defending Monta Ellis on Saturday and remains an unlikely source of fantasy value while the Thunder SG position is being split between Roberson, Perry Jones III and Caron Butler.

Thu Mar 13 201421:55Andre Roberson starts at shooting guard
Andre Roberson started at shooting guard against the Lakers on Thursday.
Scott Brooks said his starting shooting guard spot will be fluid, so this is just a matchup move to try and keep Jodie Meeks off the 3-point line. Fantasy owners can ignore Roberson in all formats.

Tue Feb 4 201409:48Andre Roberson assigned to D-League 66ers
Andre Roberson has been assigned to the D-League 66ers of Tulsa.
Roberson has played a total of 43 minutes since the calendar turned to 2014, so this move comes as no surprise. He will suit up for the 66ers on Monday as the Thunder attempt to get the 22-year-old some valuable playing time. Needless to say, fantasy owners can feel free to turn a blind eye to Roberson this season.

Wed Dec 11 201300:26Andre Roberson quiet in random start
Andre Roberson started in place of Thabo Sefolosha (minor knee sprain) on Tuesday but had just two points and five rebounds in 12 minutes.
Reggie Jackson came off the bench for 13 points, and Jeremy Lamb added 11 from the pine, and both players are worth a look in most fantasy leagues, unlike Roberson.

Mon Dec 9 201315:14Andre Roberson has been called up
Andre Roberson has been called up from the D-League.
He was playing well with the Tulsa 66ers, averaging 17.3 points and 11.7 boards in his three games. Roberson still has a lot to learn and his defense needs some work even though he has the physical tools to be solid in that area.

Tue Dec 3 201311:19Andre Roberson assigned to D-League 66ers
Andre Roberson has been assigned to the 66ers of the D-League
This isn't a shocking move as Roberson has played a "whopping" 39 total minutes in Oklahoma City's 15 games this season. While this move won't affect fantasy owners, it should serve as a good way for the rookie to get some valuable minutes under his belt.

Sat Nov 16 201320:37Andre Roberson starts, Jeremy Lamb off bench
Updating a previous item, Andre Roberson will start at shooting guard for the Thunder on Saturday.
It was reported earlier that Jeremy Lamb would take over as the starting shooting guard, but apparently Scott Brooks doesn't want to mess with his second unit. Roberson is off the radar in almost all fantasy leagues.

Mon Jul 29 201318:48Thunder keen to avoid luxury tax in 2013-14
The Thunder have reportedly signed first-round pick Andre Roberson to a deal which will pay him 80 percent of the rookie scale during his first season.
Almost invariably rookies sign for 120 percent of the rookie scale, but OKC trimmed their offer to avoid the luxury tax this season (and steep repeat-offender taxes in years to come). Roberson will earn 120 percent in his second season and there have been no reports that he's unhappy with the arrangement.
