Rasmus is rehabbing at the team's spring training complex and is making progress, but it's unclear when he might be ready for a rehab assignment. The outfielder has been on the shelf since May 15 because of a strained right hamstring.

Colby Rasmus (hamstring) ran and performed agility drills Monday for a second day in a row.
Rasmus had no issues during the workout and should soon be cleared for a minor league rehab assignment. The center fielder has been on the disabled list since May 15 because of a strained right hamstring. He should return to the Jays at some point in early June.

The Blue Jays aren't sure when Colby Rasmus (hamstring) will be ready for a rehab assignment.
Rasmus is making improvement with his strained right hamstring, but it doesn't appear that he's close to game action. The Blue Jays had been hoping the outfielder would be ready to return on May 28 when his 15 days are up, but that's not going to happen.

Rasmus exited Monday's game with right hamstring tightness. The Jays are calling him day-to-day for now, but obviously Gibbons isn't convinced it's a short-term injury. For what it's worth, Rasmus seemed more optimistic. "Got some good medicine going through me so hopefully it'll be good tomorrow," the outfielder said.

Rasmus jacked his ninth home run of the season in the second inning against A.J. Burnett. That marks his fifth home run since the calendar turned to May. Rasmus has a lopsided slash line at .234/.280/.524.

Colby Rasmus went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 10-inning win over the Phillies on Tuesday.
Rasmus has been tweaking his batting stance lately and he appears to have found some success with it. Tuesday's fourth-inning two-run shot off of Cole Hamels marked his eighth of the season and his fourth in his last six games. He could certainly stand to improve in the average and on-base departments, but the Jays are certainly enjoying his .513 slugging percentage. Rasmus is on pace for 39 home runs.

Colby Rasmus hit a grand slam to power the Blue Jays past the Pirates 7-2 on Sunday afternoon.
Colby also doubled and singled in the game. He's batting just .218 with a .265 on-base percentage in 30 games this year for Toronto but is currently on a 37-homer pace.

Colby Rasmus belted his sixth home run of the season, but it wasn't enough for the Blue Jays to overcome the Pirates on Friday.
The two-run shot off Pirates starter Gerrit Cole in the fourth inning was his lone hit in four at-bats on the evening. He's been a boom-or-bust type of hitter thus far, hitting .198/.250/.436 with six homers and 11 RBI on the season.

Colby Rasmus went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a bases-loaded walk as the Blue Jays defeated the Royals on Thursday.
Rasmus put the Jays ahead at 4-3 with his sixth-inning solo home run off of Jeremy Guthrie, his fifth of the season. He added an insurance run, drawing a bases loaded walk in the eighth inning. Rasmus has been a bit all-or-nothing so far, as his .196/.250/.412 slash line indicates. Manager John Gibbons has been slotting Rasmus near the bottom of the lineup due to his season-long slump.

Colby Rasmus went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in the Blue Jays' 11-3 win over the Orioles on Sunday.
Rasmus hit his third home run of the season in the first inning before singling in two more in the sixth. The center fielder also scored twice. He was a triple short of the cycle but was removed before getting a chance to accomplish the feat. Still, it was a nice afternoon for the 27-year-old.

Colby Rasmus went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts on Thursday and is 1-for-14 after four games.
The Jays chose to move Rasmus up to the two hole when Jose Reyes went down, but it hasn't worked out so far; he's yet to score a run this season. The next step might be to drop Rasmus back down and simply move No. 3 hitter Jose Bautista, cleanup man Edwin Encarnacion and No. 5 hitter Adam Lind all up one spot.
