Tue Dec 10 201323:04Blue Jays shopping Rasmus for rotation help
Bob Elliott of the Toronto Sun reports that the Blue Jays have offered Colby Rasmus to two teams in hopes of getting starting pitching in return.
Elliott doesn't list which teams the Jays have talked to. MLBTradeRumors.com projects Rasmus to earn $6.5 million in what will be his final year of arbitration. It's not a bad salary for a guy that batted .276/.338/.501 with 22 homers in 2013, but the Jays would take some pitching help in exchange for a guy nearing free agency.
