It's not clear when he suffered the setback. Wilson has been out since July 8 but had made three rehab appearances. He's obviously out indefinitely.

Wilson, a 2009 second-round pick, owns a 3.45 ERA over parts of four seasons in the minors, averaging 7.9 K/9 and 2.9 BB/9. The 25-year-old right-hander has a fastball that sits in the mid-90s and a hard-biting slider. Many figured he would end up in the bullpen eventually and he could be on the fast track to the majors if the transition goes smoothly.
