Wed Feb 11 201517:56Thomas (undisclosed) will not play Wednesday against Magic
Thomas (undisclosed) will not play Wednesday against the Magic, Steve Popper of The Record reports.
Thomas suffered an undisclosed injury in Monday's loss to Miami, limiting him to just 18 minutes. He'll remain out Wednesday, giving him the entire All-Star break to recover. With Carmelo Anthony (knee) also out, expect Andrea Bargnani and potentially Quincy Acy to see some increased minutes off the bench. Tim Hardaway, Jr. will enter the starting five in Anthony's place.

Thomas started for Carmelo Anthony (rest) and scored 10 points (4-9 FG, 2-2 FT) with four rebounds in 35 minutes Saturday.
While Thomas is generally assured bug minutes when Anthony sits, his production is not of a level where you can rely on him in most standard fantasy formats. Even when Anthony shuts it down, Thomas will have marginal value at best.

Thomas will start for Carmelo Anthony (rest) against the Warriors on Saturday, the Wall Street Journal reports.
In 14 starts this season, Thomas has averaged 6.5 points (on 37 percent shooting), 4.6 boards, 1.2 assists, and 0.7 steals in 27 minutes. While the uptick in minutes will be short-lived, he's the sure-fire candidate to enter the starting five when Anthony requires a rest.
Sat Jan 31 201510:26Thomas has signed contract with Knicks for remainder of season
Thomas has signed a contract with the Knicks for the remainder of the season.
Thomas has enjoyed career-best productivity with the Knicks, averaging 10.6 points on 50 percent shooting along with 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game, all better marks than any of his past seasons. He could be a reasonable pick-up for a team low on depth, but still carries risk because of the Knicks' flux on the depth chart.

Thomas scored a season-high 17 points (8-13 FG, 1-2 FT) Wednesday in an upset win over the Thunder to go along with five rebounds and an assist in 24 minutes of action.
Thomas has now scored 16, 16 and 17 points in his past three games. Owners looking to fill a spot on a roster for a short-term injury or desperate to take a flier on someone could look at Thomas, but there's not much to go off of. The former Thunder player had played just five games with the Knicks prior to Wednesday, averaging 9.8 points, 2.6 assists and 4.8 rebounds.

Thomas had a season-high 16 points (7-14 FG, 2-4 FT) with eight rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block in 41 minutes Saturday.
Thomas was starting for Carmelo Anthony (rest) and played a team-high in minutes and now has 16 points in back-to-back games. It's still odd that Thomas would play 41 minutes and rookie Cleanthony Early did not enter the game despite being healthy, but if that's what coach Derek Fisher is going to do, you need to look at Thomas with a more discerning eye in deeper leagues.

Thomas will start in place of Carmelo Anthony (rest) on Saturday against the Hornets.
Thomas has been a lackluster option this season, even in significant minutes. Regardless, he'll likely see significant time on the court for as long as Anthony stays sidelined.
Tue Jan 20 201513:21Thomas signed second 10-day deal with Knicks on Tuesday
Thomas signed a second 10-day deal with the Knicks on Tuesday, Al Iannazzone of Newsday reports.
Thomas has played significant minutes in each of the Knicks' last two games (20.0 MPG), but the Duke product is a fantasy consideration in only the deepest of leagues.

Thomas made his debut for the Knicks on Thursday against the Bucks and played 18 minutes as he recorded seven points, four rebounds, and two assists.
Thomas is currently on a 10-day contract with the Knicks and needs to play at a high level if he wants to maintain a roster spot for the rest of the season. Even if he manages to do this, it's unlikely that he'll see enough time on the court to muster enough production to become fantasy relevant.
Tue Jan 13 201509:41Thomas expected to play in Thursday's game against Bucks
Thomas is expected to play in Thursday's game against the Bucks.
Signed to a 10-day contract late last week, Thomas joins a roster that's sorely lacking in talent. Knicks coach Derek Fisher said he expects Thomas and Lou Amundson to get into Thursday's game, but that might not come to fruition, if Carmelo Anthony (knee) and Amar'e Stoudemire (knee) are able to play.
Fri Jan 9 201521:21Thomas has signed 10-day contract with Knicks
Thomas has signed a 10-day contract with the Knicks, RealGM.com's Shams Charania reports.
Thomas was waived by the Knicks just two days prior to this deal, so the team clearly did not want him on a full-season deal, but he will be brought back in the short term. The Knicks are woefully lacking in talent, but Thomas still only carries value in really deep leagues.
Wed Jan 7 201510:48Thomas will be waived by Knicks
Thomas will be waived by the Knicks, Steve Popper of the Record reports.
All three of the players the Knicks received in the recent trade with OKC and Cleveland will be waived, making the trade a purely financial one for New York. Thomas played a significant role for the Thunder during the first month of action, but barely saw the court in December. He could have a little fantasy value, depending on the team he ends up with, but it's probably better to wait and see which team Thomas lands with and how they plan to use him before he's added in fantasy leagues.

Thomas was traded to the Knicks on Monday as part of a three-team deal that also involved the Cavaliers.
Thomas saw significant time on the court during the first portion of the season when Oklahoma City was riddled with injuries. Now that the Thunder have returned to health, however, the 26-year-old has only seen six total minutes on the court since Dec. 9. He will likely find a spot in coach Derek Fisher's rotation in New York, but Thomas will play in the shadow of Carmelo Anthony, and even Tim Hardaway.
Tue Nov 4 201418:06Thomas will get start at small forward Tuesday
Thomas will get the start at small forward Tuesday, the Oklahoman's Darnell Mayberry reports.
With Andre Roberson (foot) out, Perry Jones will slide to the two, and Thomas will play the three in a very lengthy lineup. Thomas had 12 points and eight rebounds Saturday, but did very little in Monday's contest. Still, he should have no problem seeing 20-plus minutes Tuesday, but is unlikely to perform like a typical starter.

Thomas came off the bench to score 12 points (3-9 FG, 6-9 FT) with eight rebounds and two assists while turning the ball over twice in 25 minutes during Saturday's win over the Denver Nuggets.
Thomas was able to get to the free throw line often and really made the most of his minutes Saturday. He is getting more run due to various injuries but is not yet a recommended option in standard fantasy leagues until he posts a few more quality stat lines.
Wed May 28 201410:26Lance Thomas invited to Nets' mini-camp
The Nets have invited free agent Lance Thomas to participate in their mini-camp next week.
The list of players invited to Brooklyn's workouts includes four more forwards out of college, and more players may be added in the coming days. Thomas appeared in only five games for the Pelicans last season before being waived in November, and he should go undrafted in fantasy leagues no matter where he begins the 2014-15 season.

Wed Aug 21 201319:50Lance Thomas re-signs with New Orleans
Lance Thomas re-signed with the Pelicans for two years at the league minimum.
The second year of the deal is a team option. New Orleans brings back Thomas after waiving him in July. After averaging 2.5 points per game last season, he's nothing more than a body to fill out the roster.

Thu Aug 8 201318:28Report: Lance Thomas, Pelicans nearing deal
Lance Thomas is closing in on a deal with the Pelicans, a league source told RealGM.com.
The Pelicans waived Thomas in July after reaching a deal with Anthony Morrow. If the deal becomes official, don't expect Thomas to be anything other than an end-of-the-bench player. Thomas averaged 2.5 points and 1.9 rebounds per game last season.

Wed Jul 10 201311:28Pelicans waive F Lance Thomas
Pelicans waive F Lance Thomas.
Having reached a deal with Anthony Morrow, the Hornets are more interested in signing another big man than retaining their third-year SF, who went undrafted out of Duke. Thomas will become an unrestricted FA.

Fri May 3 201309:00Lance Thomas expected back with Pelicans
Lance Thomas is expected back with the Pelicans next season because his team contract option is worth under $1 million.
Thomas needs to improve his shooting touch, especially from outside the painted area, but it's a very small amount of money for a guy who has proven his worth under Monty Williams. Although Thomas didn't play a ton this season, we'd expect him to remain in New Orleans.
