Wed Aug 20 201416:23Beckham out of lineup Wednesday versus Orioles

Tue Aug 5 201416:55Beckham isn't in lineup Tuesday against Rangers
Beckham isn't in the lineup Tuesday against the Rangers.
Beckham put together a span of hits in eight of nine games since the break, but a combined 1-for-25 stretch has bookended the mini-surge. Thus, his second-half line (.167/.171/.242 in 66 at-bats) leaves much to be desired, as Leury Garcia covers second base in his place Tuesday.
Sun Aug 3 201411:35Beckham 2-5 with double and two RBI in White Sox's loss to Twins...
Beckham went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI in the White Sox's loss to the Twins on Saturday.
July was a lost month for Beckham, who may or may not have been on the trade block. He hit an abysmal .138/.158/.213 in 102 plate appearances on the month with a 19:3 K:BB. Still, his playing time at second is guaranteed, at least until September, when guys like Marcus Semien and Micah Johnson may join the big league club.
Wed Jul 30 201419:11Beckham among Giants' second base options
FOX Sports' Jon Morosi reports Gordon Beckham, Emilio Bonifacio and Asdrubal Cabrera are among the players being considered by the Giants to fill their second base void.
Bonifacio appears to be on the move -- somewhere -- and the Jays are in on Cabrera as well, but Beckham's name is one that hasn't surfaced much in rumors recently. The second baseman is hitting .225/.271/.358 this season and wouldn't appear to be much of an upgrade for any team, but he's cheap and is under team control for another season.

Mon Jul 7 201419:46White Sox 'willing to move' Gordon Beckham
FOX Sports' Jon Morosi reports that the White Sox are "willing to move Gordon Beckham in the right deal now."
The Blue Jays have been connected to Beckham in the past and are looking for a second baseman, so they would make sense as a potential match. Beckham is batting .248/.302/.395 with seven homers and 24 RBI over 66 games this season. He's making $4.175 million this year and will be arbitration-eligible for a final time this winter.

Tue Jun 24 201422:37Beckham homers as White Sox top the O's
Gordon Beckham went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's win over the Orioles.
Beckham gave his club an early lead with a first inning solo blast off of Miguel Gonzalez. He's gone deep three times in his last eight games. Now with seven home runs, 23 RBI, and a .267/.322/.429 slash line, Beckham is on track for what may be the best offensive season of his six-year career.

Wed Jun 18 201400:32Beckham hits fifth home run in win over SF
Gordon Beckham hit his fifth home run of the season, a two-run shot, in Tuesday's win over the Giants.
The homer was Beckham's first since May 27, and it was his lone hit in four at-bats on the night. After a strong stretch that saw his average rise to .298, the second baseman has gone 4-for-23 in his last six games. Still, he's the owner of a solid .283/.332/.424 line through 48 games this year.

Wed May 7 201400:56Beckham's four-hit game propels Sox past Cubs
Gordon Beckham went 4-for-5 with a home run and two runs scored in helping the White Sox beat the Cubs 5-1 on Tuesday.
Beckham's average jumped from .167 to .234 with the big night. The 27-year-old's home run in the eighth inning, his first of the year, gave the White Sox a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Despite Beckham's struggles, manager Robin Ventura has stuck with him as his everyday second baseman since returning from an oblique injury.

Mon Apr 28 201423:57Gordon Beckham goes hitless as No. 2 batter
Gordon Beckham went 0-for-4 with a walk as the White Sox's No. 2 hitter Monday against the Rays.
Beckham hit eighth and ninth in his first four games back, but it seems his 2-for-13 showing in those games was good enough to get him a look higher in the order. Marcus Semien, who had often been hitting second, doubled in a run, walked and scored twice from the ninth spot in the lineup tonight. Beckham would have greater value if he can lock up the second spot in the lineup, but that position figures to remain in flux.

Thu Apr 24 201422:33Gordon Beckham will be regular at 2B
White Sox manager Robin Ventura said Thursday that the newly activated Gordon Beckham will resume his role as the starting second baseman.
"You don't lose that spot just because you're hurt," Ventura said. "So we expect [Beckham] to be in there." It's not an issue right now with Conor Gillaspie (hand) banged up, as Marcus Semien can cover third base in the meantime. But with both Gillaspie and Semien playing well, Beckham is going to have to hit in order to remain in the lineup.

Thu Apr 24 201410:14White Sox activate Gordon Beckham from DL
White Sox activated 2B Gordon Beckham from the 15-day disabled list.
Beckham is finally ready for his regular-season debut after missing nearly four weeks with an oblique strain. The 27-year-old second baseman batted just .267/.322/.372 with five home runs and 24 RBI in 103 games last summer, and might not get regular playing time out of the gate with Conor Gillaspie and Marcus Semien playing well.

Tue Apr 22 201421:04Gordon Beckham to be activated this weekend
Gordon Beckham (oblique) is on track to be activated from the disabled list this weekend.
Beckham has had some starts and stops, but he's now played in 10 rehab games and is just about ready to rejoin the big club. With Conor Gillaspie and Marcus Semien playing well, White Sox manager Robin Ventura isn't ready to discuss what roster move will be made when Beckham returns. "I'm not getting into that yet," Ventura said. "Anytime a guy comes off the DL, it's always somebody, but we'll figure that out when it gets closer."

Sun Apr 6 201414:54Gordon Beckham misses another rehab game
Gordon Beckham (oblique) will miss a third straight rehab game Sunday.
Beckham is still feeling a little something in his left oblique and the White Sox don't want to push it. He had been slated for a mid-April return, but that might be up in the air at this point.

Thu Apr 3 201417:32Beckham (oblique) begins rehab stint Thursday
Gordon Beckham (oblique) will begin a minor league rehab assignment Thursday with Double-A Birmingham.
Beckham was forced to begin the season on the disabled list after he suffered a strained left oblique toward the end of spring training. Barring any setbacks, he should be good to go within a few days. Marcus Semien's playing time will be affected upon his return, but the White Sox could try to mix him in at third base.
