Gordon Beckham is back in the White Sox' lineup Friday.

Beckham was absent from the lineup for the last five games after aggravating his surgically-repaired left wrist. The second baseman has done some swinging over the last few days and is ready to give it a go.

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi report that the Blue Jays inquired about Gordon Beckham earlier this season.

The report notes, though, that there are no active talks going on between the two club. Beckham's home run output is down this season, but he's hitting a nice .325/.347/.428 overall for the Pale Hose.

The White Sox will have to place him on the DL if he doesn't see notable improvement in a hurry.
