Washington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto smacked a mammoth 454-foot homer off Jon Gray Sunday, helping his team to a 3-0 victory over the Colorado Rockies. It was his only hit in four at-bats. With a .356/.522/.614 slash line in his last 30 games, Soto is a rare set-it-and-forget-it player for fantasy managers.

Washington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto reached base four times again Friday against the Colorado Rockies, going 1-for-2 with three walks and a run scored. The next time he does so he will break Barry Bonds' record for the most such games in a season. Soto is slashing an outrageous .315/.460/.526 on the season and is a fantasy monster, especially in sabermetrically-inclined leagues.

Wed Sep 15 202122:40Juan Soto Collects Two More Hits On Wednesday
Washington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI during an 8-6 loss to the Miami Marlins on Wednesday. The 22-year-old has been red hot the past 30 days, posting six homers, 23 RBI, 24 R, and three stolen bases with a .350/.514/.590 line across 100 at-bats. While the slugger didn't return the top-five value fantasy managers were seeking in the first half of the season, Soto has more than made up for it in the second half and has the upside to deliver hardware for patient managers. Soto will be a top-five pick in redraft leagues next year, and those fortunate enough to have him secured in dynasty formats have a future MVP on their hands.

Wed Sep 15 202112:54Juan Soto Reaches Four Times Yet Again
Washington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto reached base four more times Tuesday, going 3-for-4 with an intentional walk and an RBI in an 8-2 victory over the Miami Marlins. He's now reached base four times in four of his last six games. He's the only batter in the major leagues with more walks than strikeouts, and he's registered a massive 120 walks to only 83 strikeouts. Soto is a walking cheat code right now...literally...and he needs to get a long look as the first overall pick in 2022 drafts.

He's now reached base at least four times in three of his last four games and is slashing .439/.589/.732 in September. He's very good at baseball, and he should be on your fantasy team.

Sat Sep 11 202123:59Juan Soto Has Four-Hit Game
Washington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto went 4-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored against the Pittsburgh Pirates Saturday. He now has a 15-game on-base streak, and he's reached base four times in five of those games. Since the All-Star break, he's slashed .349/.522/.645, and a tough-luck down month of May could be all that's kept Soto from an all-time top season. He has to be a top-two pick at least heading into 2022 with his .974 OPS, 25 homers, 96 runs, 83 RBI, and nine steals.

He contributes in every category and appears to be getting the Barry Bonds treatment, with 10 of those free passes being intentional. Soto is happy to take his walks, which will allow him to single-handedly win the on-base category for fantasy managers, leading to plenty of runs along the way.

He now has 22 homers and seven steals for the year. Soto is slashing .307/.504/.523 in 123 plate appearances over his last 30 games as the league seems to have collectively decided to pitch around Soto the rest of the season. He leads the league with 102 walks and should provide extreme top-end value in on-base formats while remaining a top-ten hitter in all fantasy leagues.

He was 1-for-3 in the game with two walks and two runs scored. Soto has now reached base at least three times in nine games this month. His OBP for August is .529, and when he's given the opportunity to drive the ball as well, he's an unstoppable fantasy force.

Thu Aug 26 202114:30Juan Soto Maintaining A .524 On-Base Percentage In August
Washington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto has been drawing walks at an extremely high rate in August. He has 26 walks over 20 games this month, with 16 strikeouts over that same stretch. His high walk rate has led to a .524 on-base percentage in August. While his plate discipline is certainly elite, the high walk rate is also due to his lack of support in the Nationals lineup. The 22-year-old Soto got off to a slow start to the year, but he's been one of the most productive hitters in the majors over the past two-to-three months. Over 114 games on the year, he's slashing .300/.442/.503 with 20 home runs, six stolen bases, 67 RBI and 82 runs.

Thu Aug 19 202110:51Juan Soto Hits 20th Homer
Washington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto had a huge game Wednesday night against the Toronto Blue Jays, going 1-for-2 with a home run, three walks, three RBI, and two runs scored. It's his 20th home run of the season. Soto is slashing an absurd .367/.540/.733 over his last 30 games with nine homers, 24 RBI, 25 runs, and a whopping 34 walks in that span. He's seeing less pitches to hit than ever, but he simply doesn't miss and is a fantasy cheat code at this point.

Wed Aug 18 202101:14Juan Soto Reaches Three Times, Scores Twice
Washington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto remains an on-base machine, reaching base safely three more times in Tuesday night's game against the Toronto Blue Jays. Soto went 1-for-2 with a double, a walk, a hit-by-pitch, and two runs scored. Soto has an outrageous .536 OBP over his last 30 games, and there's very little cause to think that will slow down going forward, as opponents have begun to recognize that there's no reason they should pitch to Soto with such a depleted lineup around him. His power numbers may take a bit of a hit, but he'll continue to contribute for fantasy managers by getting on base and scoring runs.

Sat Aug 14 202112:37Juan Soto Reaches Three Times, Drives In A Run
Washington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto was once again the lone offensive force for the team Friday, going 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, and an RBI against the Atlanta Braves. Soto now has posted a .947 OPS with 19 homers, six steals, 74 runs, and 62 RBI on the year. While his fantasy value does take a slight hit with a depleted lineup around him, he's one of the most disciplined hitters in the majors and will continue to pad his own stats even without any lineup protection.

Thu Aug 12 202119:43Juan Soto Walks Five Times In Doubleheader
Washington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto drew five walks in seven plate appearances in Thursday's doubleheader against the New York Mets. Following the trade deadline fire-sale, there simply isn't much punch left in the Washington offense, giving teams the option to pitch around Soto in favor of other options. This'll keep his already-excellent on-base percentage high, but it'll limit his opportunity to contribute in other fantasy categories. He now has a .301/.436/.507 slash line for the year.

Thu Aug 12 202112:24Juan Soto Homers, Reaches Four Times
Washington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto went 3-for-4 with a home run and a walk against the New York Mets in Tuesday's suspended game which was completed Wednesday. His three-run home run came off of Carlos Carrasco in the first inning on Tuesday, and was his 19th homer of the year. Soto has been so superlative this season that even that total feels underwhelming. He has a .941 OPS with 74 runs scored and 61 RBI on the season, and has a chance to be the number one fantasy asset for the rest of the year.

Sun Aug 8 202101:08Juan Soto Pinch-Hits Saturday
Washington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto (knee) entered Saturday's game as a pinch-hitter, and he stayed in to run the bases after drawing a walk in the sixth inning. Soto was expected to be back in the lineup Saturday, but the pinch-hit appearance and subsequent turn on the bases should assuage any fears that his knee issue will linger for the rest of the year. Washington has every reason to be cautious with Soto after he felt a tweak Thursday, but it appears that he has a chance to return to the lineup in short order.
