Mahinmi (foot) will miss six-to-eight weeks with a torn left plantar fascia.

Mahinmi left Friday's game with what was diagnosed as a sore left foot, but now has been revealed that something much more severe occurred. His injury could open up extra minutes for a combination of Luis Scola, Shayne Whittington, Damjan Rudez and possibly Roy Hibbert as well depending on how the rotation changes.

This was easily the best game of the season for Mahinmi. With that in mind, Friday's performance is on the high end for what to expect from the 28-year-old on any given night.

Ian Mahinmi has been added to Team France's FIBA World Cup of Basketball roster.

With Alexis Ajinca and Kevin Seraphin both unavailable for the World Cup, Mahinmi will serve as Les Bleu's best option up front for August's World Cup in Spain. While Mahinmi will get plenty of run for France in the World Cup, the 27-year-old doesn't hold much fantasy value heading into the 2014-15 season as he won't see much more playing time than the 12.7 minutes he averaged in 2013-14.

In fact, even with the starters in the bench, Mahinmi's usage rate is very small at just 12.2 in his 128 minutes. He's not a fantasy option unless you're in dire straits for boards and blocks.
