McGee is being brought along with incredible caution from head coach Brian Shaw, as McGee is still getting strength back in his leg after injuring it last season. His minutes Wednesday were right around what we saw from him on Monday (14 minutes), so until further notice, keep McGee waiting in the wings.

McGee scored 16 points (6-9 FG, 4-4 FT) with four rebounds and four blocks in just 14 minutes off the bench during Monday's loss to the Kings.

Timofey Mozgov got into early foul trouble, which opened the door for McGee to make an impact. The time share between the Nugget centers suppresses the value of both, however, so don't expect this performance to result in a big increase in McGee's minutes.

It's no surprise that McGee was limited to just over 10 minutes in his first action in a long time. He missed all three of his shot attempts from the field, and was 1-of-2 from the free-throw line. Most of his potential value comes from his shot-blocking ability, but he hasn't played in 20-plus minutes per game since the 2011-12 season, so it's hard to imagine him being a big part of the Nuggets' rotation, at least not right away.
