McGee (leg) has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup with the Spurs, Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reports.
McGee will miss his eighth game in the Nuggets' last nine, and with Kenneth Faried (ankle) also out, Timofey Mozgov, Darrell Arthur and J.J. Hickson should see the bulk of the frontcourt minutes.
Sat Dec 13 201412:29McGee (leg) ruled out for Saturday's game
McGee (leg) has been ruled out for Saturday's game, the Houston Chronicle's Jonathan Feigen reports.
The Nuggets will continue to rely on Timofey Mozgov, Darrell Arthur and J.J. Hickson down low with McGee out. Consider the McGee day-to-day going forward.
Wed Dec 10 201414:00McGee (leg) will not play Wednesday against Heat
McGee (leg) will not play Wednesday against the Heat, the Denver Post's Chris Dempsey reports.
McGee has missed seven of the last eight games while battling persistent soreness in his tibia. His only appearance in that span came Friday against the Wizards, when he scored two points to go with three boards and two blocks in 12 minutes. The Nuggets will continue to lean heavily on Timofey Mozgov and Darrell Arthur up front, the former of whom played 49 minutes in Monday's overtime loss to Toronto.
Mon Dec 8 201419:07McGee (leg) won't suit up for Monday's game at Toronto
McGee (leg) won't suit up for Monday's game at Toronto, the Nuggets' official site reports.
Since sustaining a strained leg in during the last week of November, McGee has only taken the floor one time, last Friday versus the Wizards, against whom he supplied two points, three rebounds, and two blocks in 12 minutes. Because Kenneth Faried (back) and Jusuf Nurkic (personal) are also out of commission, Timofey Mozgov, J.J. Hickson, and Darrell Arthur are the sole healthy frontcourt options available to coach Brian Shaw.
Sun Dec 7 201414:26JaVale McGee: (Leg) Will Not Play Sunday
McGee (leg) will not play against the Hawks on Sunday.
McGee will now be sidelined for six of the last seven games for the Nuggets. With Kenneth Faried (back) and Jusuf Nurkic (personal) also out Sunday, J.J. Hickson and Darrell Arthur will likely see considerable time on the court.
Sun Dec 7 201412:18JaVale McGee: (Leg) Doubtful Against Hawks
McGee (leg) is considered doubtful for Sunday's game against the Hawks, the Denver Post reports.
McGee just can't seem to recover from having soreness in his injured tibia. He's only played 12 minutes over the past six games and it appears that will extend to seven Sunday.
Fri Dec 5 201418:21McGee (leg) will be used in "more of emergency basis
McGee (leg) will be used in "more of an emergency basis, if we needed him" in Friday's game against the Wizards, per coach Brian Shaw, the Denver Post reports.
McGee is still experiencing soreness in his leg and will likely stay on the pine Friday. J.J. Hickson should continue to benefit in McGee's absence from the court.
Fri Dec 5 201412:29McGee still experiencing soreness in leg
McGee is still experiencing soreness in his leg, and should be considered day-to-day, Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reports.
McGee has suited up but not played the last two games after missing the three games prior due to the same soreness. He suffered a stress fracture in the same leg last year, so even though recent X-rays have come back negative, the pain is a bit worrying. Going forward, McGee will need to get on the court before he can be entered into any fantasy lineups, and even then he likely will not see enough minutes to be reliable in standard leagues.

McGee (leg) was expected to return to action Monday, but logged a DNP-CD against the Jazz.
The score was close throughout the entire game, and it would make sense to keep McGee benched throughout the critical periods. He has logged just 13 games this season and remains a non-option in most leagues, with averages of 5.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game. For now, consider him probably to play Tuesday against the Blazers.
Mon Dec 1 201413:36JaVale McGee: (Leg) Will Play Monday
McGee (leg) will play in Monday's game against the Jazz, the Denver Post reports.
McGee's left tibia soreness sidelined him for a week, but he apparently feels good enough to give it a go Monday. The big man is averaging 5.6 points, three boards and 1.1 blocks in 12 minutes over 13 games this season. Timofey Mozgov will still likely start, but McGee could see his regular minutes Monday if his leg holds up.

McGee (leg) returned to practice Sunday and is on track to play Monday against the Jazz, Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reports.
McGee has been sidelined for a week with soreness in his left tibia, a bone in which he suffered a stress fracture last season. The Nuggets will re-evaluate McGee following the conclusion of Sunday's session, at which point it should become more clear as to whether he will, indeed, take the court Monday. The Nevada product is averaging just 5.6 points and 3.0 rebounds this season.
Fri Nov 28 201413:43McGee (leg) will not play against Suns on Friday
McGee (leg) will not play against the Suns on Friday, the Denver Post reports.
McGee remains day-to-day without a definite timetable for a return. His next opportunity to get on the court will be against the Jazz on Monday.
Tue Nov 25 201413:24McGee (leg) doubtful for Tuesday's matchup with Bulls
McGee (leg) is doubtful for Tuesday's matchup with the Bulls, Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reports.
A stress fracture in McGee's left tibia caused him to miss most of last season, and the issue appears to have resurfaced recently. While he's not dealing with another stress fracture, he's experiencing leg pain and underwent an MRI on Monday. If McGee ends up sitting out Tuesday, expect to see more of J.J. Hickson off the bench.
Mon Nov 24 201414:52McGee (leg) underwent X-ray on left tibia Monday
McGee (leg) underwent an X-ray on his left tibia Monday, Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reports.
McGee left Sunday's game against the Lakers after playing only six minutes due to a leg strain. The X-ray is likely just precautionary, as McGee dealt with a stress fracture in his left tibia that limited him to five games last season. The Nuggets will certainly exercise caution with the mercurial center, and he's considered day-to-day in advance of Tuesday's matchup with Chicago.

McGee (leg) suffered a strained leg Sunday against the Lakers and will not return to the game, Mike Trudell of Lakers.com reports.
McGee strained his lower left leg, logging only six minutes before exiting. He'll be evaluated, and a more detailed report should be available Monday. If McGee misses time, J.J. Hickson and Darrell Arthur should see an uptick in their respective minutes off the bench.

McGee came off the bench for 15 minutes during Friday's game against the Pacers and managed to put up seven points (2-3 FG, 3-4 FT) and four rebounds.
McGee is still on a minutes restriction while the Nuggets try to ease him back into action after missing considerable time off the court last season with a stress fracture in his left tibia. The 15 minutes that McGee played Friday should be pretty typical of what to expect until the Nuggets lift that minutes restriction which currently curbs his value.
Wed Nov 12 201414:19McGee will remain on minutes limit for next few weeks
McGee will remain on a minutes limit for the next few weeks, Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reports.
Through six games, McGee is yet to play more than 20 minutes, and that trend will likely continue as he works back from a stress fracture in his left tibia. That's good news for Timofey Mozgov owners, as J.J. Hickson (knee) is also on a minutes restriction.

McGee scored nine points (3-5 FG, 3-4 FT), with two rebounds in just 13 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Kings.
McGee is being brought along with incredible caution from head coach Brian Shaw, as McGee is still getting strength back in his leg after injuring it last season. His minutes Wednesday were right around what we saw from him on Monday (14 minutes), so until further notice, keep McGee waiting in the wings.

McGee scored 16 points (6-9 FG, 4-4 FT) with four rebounds and four blocks in just 14 minutes off the bench during Monday's loss to the Kings.
Timofey Mozgov got into early foul trouble, which opened the door for McGee to make an impact. The time share between the Nugget centers suppresses the value of both, however, so don't expect this performance to result in a big increase in McGee's minutes.

McGee (leg) made his preseason debut Tuesday and played just 11 minutes, finishing with one point, two rebounds and one block.
It's no surprise that McGee was limited to just over 10 minutes in his first action in a long time. He missed all three of his shot attempts from the field, and was 1-of-2 from the free-throw line. Most of his potential value comes from his shot-blocking ability, but he hasn't played in 20-plus minutes per game since the 2011-12 season, so it's hard to imagine him being a big part of the Nuggets' rotation, at least not right away.
