Mon Nov 18 201319:34Jeremy Evans will return to Tuesday practice
Jeremy Evans (shoulder) will return to practice on Tuesday.
He's been out with a rotator cuff injury and this is the first positive sign in a long time. Evans is going to serve as some emergency depth and the main interesting issue is if he will take some minutes from rookie Rudy Gobert. Evans can be left on the wire in all leagues.

Fri Oct 25 201314:16Jeremy Evans (shoulder) still out
Jeremy Evans (shoulder) will not play in Utah's preseason finale.
He has been out with the injury since Oct. 17, but the injury is not considered serious since the team hasn't reported any sort of MRI on the issue. Rudy Gobert should get a little extra playing time tonight.

Thu Oct 17 201317:44Jeremy Evans out with a shoulder strain
Jeremy Evans did not practice on Thursday due to a right rotator cuff strain.
He played 20 minutes in Wednesday night's game, so he most likely suffered the injury in that contest. Evans has been struggling in his last two preseason games, making just 3-of-13 from the field, so he hasn't helped himself in earning minutes off the bench.

Sat Oct 12 201302:17Evans starts and struggles against Portland
Jeremy Evans started down low for the Jazz in Friday's preseason loss to the Blazers, playing just 16 minutes on his way to four points, zero rebounds and one steal.
Evans almost certainly going to be the first big off the bench for the Jazz this year, and it looks like Ty Corbin wanted to see what he could get if he split up Derrick Favors (seven points, nine boards, one steal, one block, 2-of-8 FGs) and Enes Kanter (11 points, six boards, no steals or blocks). The problem is that Evans is 200 pounds soaking wet and the other alternatives in Andris Biedrins and Rudy Gobert aren't great. Look for Favors and Kanter to get all they can eat.

Fri Oct 11 201314:21Jeremy Evans gets the starting nod Friday
Jeremy Evans will start in Friday night's game against the Blazers.
He was solid in Tuesday's game against the Warriors, scoring 12 points with 13 boards and one block in 25 minutes, so coach Ty Corbin might want to get a longer look at the 25-year-old big man. He played just 5.8 minutes per game last year and even though the Jazz have some frontcourt depth issues, it's hard to imagine Evans will have a prominent role this year. He's starting for Enes Kanter, who might just be getting the night off since the Jazz have a back-to-back set.

Fri Mar 15 201308:19Tyrone Corbin praises effort of Jeremy Evans
Tyrone Corbin praised the recent play of Jeremy Evans.
"His confidence level is getting better," Corbin said. "I thought Jeremy gave us some great minutes the other night. Again, it shows a guy working and staying ready and maximizing his opportunity." Despite the lip service, Evans will continue to see inconsistent playing time and can be ignored in fantasy leagues.

Tue Mar 12 201300:13Evans has season-best game vs. Pistons
Jeremy Evans scored eight points on 3-of-4 shooting with seven rebounds, a career-high five assists and two blocks in 24 minutes off the bench on Monday against the Pistons.
Evans was the beneficiary of a bad Pistons team having their rotation jumbled by the Brandon Knight injury, and the Jazz second unit getting some extra run as a whole. If he does it again, we'll let you know but otherwise consider this a fluke.

Sat Mar 2 201303:45Evans scores 14 points with nine rebounds
Jeremy Evans scored 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting with nine rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 26 minutes off the bench on Friday against the Bobcats.
Evans got extra run in a 30-point blowout with two starters out. There's nothing to see here beyond that. Alec Burks' 10 points on 3-of-9 shooting, seven rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block, and one trey in 29 minutes also fall into this category.

Thu Feb 7 201319:16Dunk Contest players named for Saturday
Jeremy Evans, Gerald Green, Kenneth Faried, Eric Bledsoe, Terrence Ross and James White will take part in the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest on February 16.
It's an interesting group of participants with some exciting young players taking part in the action. The contest also has defending champ in Jeremy Evans as well as former champ Gerald Green, who had one of the most memorable dunks in the contest's history when he blew out a cupcake candle. The 3-Point Contest will feature Paul George, Kyrie Irving, Steve Novak, Ryan Anderson, Matt Bonner and Steph Curry.

Wed Jul 11 201214:45Jazz officially re-sign Jeremy Evans
Jazz sign PF Jeremy Evans.
The Jazz officially signed Jeremy Evans to a three-year deal on Wednesday. He'll back up the power forward position in Utah, but should have much fantasy value as long as Derrick Favors stays healthy.

Thu Jul 5 201220:04Jeremy Evans agrees to 3-year deal with Jazz
Free agent F Jeremy Evans agreed to a three-year, $5.5 million deal with the Jazz on Thursday.
Evans attacks the rim and has turned some heads since entering the league, but he'll need the Jazz's roster to thin out a bit to enter the season on most fantasy cheat sheets.

Fri Jun 29 201221:46Jazz offer Jeremy Evans qualifying offer
The Jazz offered restricted free agent F Jeremy Evans a qualifying offer on Friday.
Evans and second-year guard Alec Burks are both athletically gifted, and both will be guys to watch heading into this season. They'll still need a good amount of help before they matter in most fantasy leagues, though.

Restricted free agent Jeremy Evans would like to re-sign with the Jazz.
"I'd love to be back with the Jazz," he said. "Hopefully, I'm around for the future." Evans did also acknowledge that playing time would be a consideration in his decision, and he's looking to "get that role of being in the game, earning minutes and being able to play." Evans appeared in just 29 regular season games with Utah, averaging under eight minutes of playing time.

Thu Apr 19 201201:28Jeremy Evans returns from sprained ankle
Jeremy Evans finally played on his sprained ankle Wednesday and had five points, six rebounds, a steal and a block in 12 minutes.
That's solid production in limited run, but unless he suddenly starts getting 25 minutes per game, he has no fantasy value.

Mon Apr 16 201219:52Evans (ankle) will be available on Monday
Jeremy Evans (ankle) will be available for Monday's game against the Mavs.
Owners should watch Evans from the waiver wire to see if he can take advantage of the Jazz's injury situation. He hasn't done anything to justify a speculative add.

Mon Apr 16 201212:44Jeremy Evans a game-time call Monday
Jeremy Evans (ankle) is a game-time call for Monday's matchup with the Mavs.
Evans has missed three straight games and appeared in just 27 all season. Right now, the 2010 second-round pick is just a dunker.

Jeremy Evans reported improvement in his sprained right ankle.

Fri Apr 13 201212:20Jermy Evans doubtful to play on Friday
Jeremy Evans (ankle) is doubtful to play on Friday against the Hornets.
Evans' ankle still isn't well enough for him to play. His playing time has been sporadic all season and is only averaging 6.5 minutes per game. This news shouldn't impact your fantasy lineup.

Thu Apr 12 201208:52Jeremy Evans will be reevaluated, day-to-day
Jeremy Evans (ankle) will be reevaluated before Friday's game against the Hornets.
"It depends how it feels when I wake up," Evans said. He's dealing with swelling and pain, and both will have to subside substantially for him to have a chance to play on Friday. Consider him extremely questionable to face the Hornets.
