Warren has seen regular playing time since the All-Star break. In Wednesday's game, he scored four points (2-5 FG) to go with two rebounds in 10 minutes off the bench against the Magic.
Prior to the All-Star break, Warren played in 16 games, averaging nine minutes per game. Since the All-Star break, he has played in six of the Suns' eight games, averaging 14 minutes per game off the bench. Warren has demonstrated his value in the D-League, where he's averaged 26.8 points with a 54 field goal percentage. Coach Jeff Hornacek says it's Warren's energy that has earned him more minutes. "We all know he can put the ball in the basket, but what it is with him is he's probably our only guy who cuts," Hornacek said. "Everyone else wants to stand around and wait for a kick out pass."

Warren has been assigned to the Bakersfield Jam of the D-League.
Phoenix assigned both of its first-round picks to Bakersfield on Thursday, as point guard Tyler Ennis will join Warren in the D-League. Warren, the 14th overall selection in June's draft, has logged just one NBA minute through the Suns' first eight games. He was dealing with a thumb injury near the end of the preseason, which certainly diminished his chances of cracking coach Jeff Hornacek's early-season rotation.
Sun Nov 9 201420:16Warren (thumb) active for Sunday's game against Warriors
Warren (thumb) is active for Sunday's game against the Warriors, Matt Petersen of Suns.com reports.
The rookie fractured his thumb near the end of the preseason and has been listed as "out indefinitely" ever since. While the thumb is heavily taped, Warren could see his first NBA minutes if coach Jeff Hornacek opts to use a smaller lineup, as he alluded he may do. Regardless, it's wise to take a wait-and-see approach with Warren, as his role with the team is yet to truly be defined.

Warren reportedly suffered the injury during Tuesday's preseason game against the Lakers. He is likely to miss the rest of the preseason, and perhaps the start of the regular season as well, The Arizona Republic reports.
Warren's teammate Alex Len suffered a similar injury at the beginning of the month and barely returned to the court during Wednesday night's loss to the Clippers. Expect Warren to see a similar timetable, while even needing some time to be at 100 percent.

Warren won't play in Wednesday's preseason contest due to a sprained thumb suffered in Tuesday's game, Paul Coro of AZCentral.com reports.
Warren's injury didn't receive much attention Tuesday evening, but it will prove serious enough to hold him out of an exhibition. Consider the rookie day-to-day for the time being, with his status uncertain for Friday's preseason finale.

Warren has displayed a willingness to take more 3-pointers this preseason. When asked about it by reporters he admitted that this was an are he has focused on developing azcentral reports.
T.J. Warren has shown throughout his college career, as well as in summer league, that he can be highly efficient from midrange and around the basket. By adding range to his game, he is adapting to the modern game by becoming a player that matches up to today's wing players. Additionally, this adds to his fantasy prospects to those looking at him in dynasty leagues, as he is working to add more offensive and defensive stats to his production.

The Phoenix Suns have been impressed with first-round pick T.J. Warren's play.
Warren was named to the All-NBA Summer League Second Team after averaging 17.8 points per game on 54.4 percent shooting from the field. "We'd hoped he'd be able to translate his efficient scoring from college to the NBA and it certainly did look like it did translate," Suns general manager Ryan McDonough said. Even though the Suns are excited about Warren, he'll be coming off the bench to start the season and won't provide much fantasy value.

Warren was one of the more well-rounded scorers in the tournament and was taking great shots all week. He said that he would like to work on his perimeter game a little, but really likes attacking the basket. He figures to be slotted in behind P.J. Tucker and will have to earn his minutes. Although, the Suns did play him at power forward and center at summer league, so that could help him.

Sat Jul 12 201422:27T.J. Warren is as advertised vs. Warriors
T.J. Warren looked like a go-to scorer vs. the Warriors on Saturday, making 10-of-17 from the field for 22 points with four rebounds, one steal, one block and one turnover.
He was attacking the basket at will and the Warriors couldn't guard him. Warren fits in very well with the Suns and he's likely to be slotted in as the backup small forward. The NC State product has some nice keeper appeal in several formats, but may need a break to get enough run in his rookie season.
