Thu Aug 29 201301:13Young steals two bases in loss to Phillies
Eric Young Jr. went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases against the Phillies on Wednesday.
The stolen bases both came off Phillies starter Cole Hamels, giving Young 31 on the year. He's especially found his base-stealing groove as the Mets' leadoff hitter, as 23 of his 31 have come since his move to the Big Apple in mid-June. The swipes have at least helped divert attention from the fact that he's hitting a paltry .208 through 96 at-bats in August.

Fri Aug 2 201323:57EYJ powers Mets past Royals in extra innings
Eric Young, Jr. blasted a walk-off two-run homer in the 11th inning to secure a 4-2 victory over the Royals on Friday night.
Good timing for his first home run as a member of the Mets. Young went 2-for-5 with a walk on the night and continues to produce out of the leadoff spot. Don't look for him to supply this sort of power very often, but his speed should have him on your radar in deeper mixed fantasy leagues.

Eric Young Jr. went 2-for-4 and swiped his 16th base of the season in Saturday's extra-inning loss to the Pirates.
Young has done a terrific job since coming to the Mets, hitting .304 (31-for-102) with 16 runs scored, 10 RBI and eight stolen bases in only 23 games. As long as he's hot and hitting atop the Mets' lineup, he should be owned and started in all fantasy formats.

Wed Jun 19 201315:41Eric Young Jr. batting leadoff in Mets' debut
Eric Young, Jr. will bat leadoff and start in center field in his Mets' debut Wednesday against the Braves.
Young was acquired from the Rockies on Tuesday night in exchange for right-hander Collin McHugh. The 28-year-old was batting just .242/.290/.352 with the Rockies this season, but he has plenty of speed and could receive regular playing time in the Mets' outfield. He's someone to keep in mind if you need stolen bases in deeper mixed formats.

Wed Jun 12 201319:56Eric Young Jr. designated for assignment
Rockies designated OF Eric Young Jr. for assignment.
Young is batting just .242/.290/.352 this season, and the Rockies haven't been happy about his defense in the outfield. Still, he batted .316/.377/.448 last year, has tons of speed and can also play second base, so he'll surely draw interest on waivers.

Wed May 15 201300:04Young shows off the power against the Cubs
Eric Young Jr. doubled and homered Tuesday as the Rockies beat the Cubs.
The home run, Young's first, drove in two runs and he also scored twice on the night. The outfielder has been seeing everyday at-bats with Michael Cuddyer on the disabled list, and manager Walt Weiss has used him primarily as the team's leadoff hitter. He won't be a source of much power, but he's got speed to burn and the Rockies can mash behind him. There are worse options for stolen bases.

Tue Apr 16 201320:27Eric Young goes 3-for-5 in Rockies' win
Eric Young Jr. went 3-for-5 with a triple, two RBI and a steal as the Rockies beat the Mets 8-4 in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader.
Young got the start in center with Dexter Fowler hobbled and made the most of it. The speedster had been 0-for-2 stealing bases this year before swiping third today. And one can't blame John Buck for that one; the Mets infield was shifted over with Carlos Gonzalez up and David Wright didn't even try to cover third base on the play.
