Martinez rated as one of the White Sox's top prospects three years ago, but he missed the 2009 season and slumped last year, coming in at just .242/.295/.347 in 242 at-bats for Winston-Salem. He's still just 22 now, so he yet has a chance. However, he can't afford another bad year as he climbs the ladder.
