Justin Ruggiano went 2-for-4 with a double and a walk in Sunday's loss to the Nationals. |
Ruggiano has been red hot at the plate of late, as Sunday was his fourth straight multi-hit game and his sixth in his last eight starts. The double was his 10th, and he's hitting .286/.364/.476 overall. He's certainly an NL-only asset, and his ability to do a bit of everything makes him a consideration in deeper mixed leagues when he's getting regular playing time. |

Mon Jun 23 2014 | 23:47 | Justin Ruggiano goes 0-for-4 in loss |
Justin Ruggiano went 0-for-4 on Monday and is in a 0-for-15 slump over the last week. |
The Cubs just haven't been able to cobble together much of an outfield this year, particularly with Nate Schierholtz struggling so mightily. Ruggiano should really only be in there against lefties, but he was starting against another righty tonight. Since he's not stealing bases -- he's 0-for-3 this year -- he doesn't have much to offer fantasy leaguers. |
