Saladino went 3-for-5 with three runs scored in the White Sox's win over the Indians on Saturday.
Saladino continues to swing a surprisingly warm bat, and his trio of hits Saturday boosted his average back above the .300 mark. His hitting ways has kept him in the starting lineup at Gordon Beckham's expense.

Saladino went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run and two runs scored in the White Sox's loss to the Cardinals on Tuesday.
He displayed some modest power throughout his minor league career, but it is still surprising to see him go deep twice in two games. The power may not continue, but his presence at third base (and the No. 2 spot of the White Sox's lineup) should.

Saladino went 1-for-3 with his first career home run in Sunday's game against the Royals.
The 25-year-old has now started six consecutive games and should continue to see at-bats at third base, with Connor Gillaspie being designated for assignment. Saladino has never been much of a power hitter but he does possess stolen base potential, as he swiped 25 or more bags in each of his last three full seasons in the minors.

Saladino should continue to see consistent starts at third base in the wake of the White Sox designating Conor Gillaspie for assignment.
Saladino has been with the team for six games, and he has made six starts (five at third, one at short). His bat may not maintain his current 7-for-23 pace, but he has shown some nice glove work the past few days and he stole 25 bags (on 27 attempts) prior to his recall.

Saladino was called up from Triple-A Charlotte and will start at third base against the Cubs on Friday, Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Third base, among other positions, has been a disaster for the White Sox this season. Saladino probably won't offer enough at the plate to provide a long-term solution for his team, but with 25 steals at Triple-A Charlotte in just 52 games this season, he could become a hot commodity if he gets regular playing time. He also has decent power, and he posted a .310/.367/.483 slash line for Charlotte last season, though he's dropped off to .255/.332/.372 this year. Saladino is worth keeping a close eye on, as the White Sox might be ready to give up on the hideous duo of Conor Gillaspie and Gordon Beckham at third base. Saladino may also play some shortstop, especially if the White Sox eventually decide to shop Alexei Ramirez.

Chicago White Sox third baseman Tyler Saladino was called up from Triple-A Charlotte and will be in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Chicago Cubs, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Chicago White Sox third baseman Tyler Saladino was called up from Triple-A Charlotte and will be in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Chicago Cubs, according to the Chicago Tribune. Saladino will be afforded every opportunity to demonstrate that he can provide the team with an offensive upgrade given the season-long struggles of both third baseman Conor Gillaspie and infielder Gordon Beckham.

Saladino was placed on the DL on Thursday with an undisclosed injury, CSN's Dan Hayes reports.
Saladino was in competition for a utility spot during spring training but he was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte, where he spent all of 2014. In 11 games this season, Saladino is 13-for-45 (.289) at the plate with seven RBI and five stolen bases.

The White Sox optioned Saladino to Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday.
Saladino had been in the mix for a bench role this spring, but he was a casualty of the first round of cuts. Emilio Bonifacio, Carlos Sanchez, Gordon Beckham, and Leury Garcia are all ahead of him in the "utility" category, so he will enjoy a repeat campaign at Charlotte.

Manage Robin Ventura said he envisions Saladino competing for a bullpen role this spring, the White Sox's official site reports.
The team's second base race is wide open at this point, but it does not appear that Saladino is a part of that picture. Saladino was added to the team's 40-man roster over the winter after he hit .310 in 325 plate appearances for Triple-A Charlotte, but he is no longer one of the team's top prospects. He will probably spend much of the year back at Charlotte.

The White Sox added Saladino (elbow) to their 40-man roster Thursday, Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Before suffering a torn UCL in July, Saladino hit .310/.367/.483 with nine homers and 43 RBI in 82 games with Triple-A Charlotte. Position players typically don't need as long to recover from Tommy John surgery as pitchers, but it's uncertain whether Saladino will be a go at the start of next season.

Saladino had Tommy John surgery in July to repair a torn UCL, the Daily Herald reports.
Saladino had been enjoying something of a breakout year as a utility player at Triple-A Charlotte, and he was likely on his way to a September call-up. However, his recovery could be complete near the start of next season, so he could be in the bigs next fall.
