Wed Oct 27 201013:18Rangers add Mark Lowe to World Series roster
The Rangers added right-hander Mark Lowe to their roster for the World Series.
The Giants' lineup is righty-heavy, so Lowe will take the place of left-hander Clay Rapada on the roster. Lowe, who was acquired from the Mariners along with Cliff Lee in July, missed most of the regular season due to back surgery, but returned in the last week of September to make three relief appearances. Rangers manager Ron Washington ultimately opted for Lowe over Dustin Nippert as an extra right-hander out of the bullpen.

Still, with a playoff spot locked up, it's worth a shot.

Lowe, 27, was acquired in the same trade that brought Cliff Lee to Arlington.
