Wed May 7 201415:39Michael Bourn sitting out again Wednesday
Michael Bourn (hamstring) remained out of the Indians' lineup Wednesday.
Bourn was seen testing out his left hamstring again prior to the game, but he's still not well enough to return to the lineup. The Indians are confident that it's merely a day-to-day issue with the outfielder. Nyjer Morgan is in center field again Wednesday.

Tue May 6 201415:59Bourn (hammy) hopes to return soon
Michael Bourn (hamstring) said Tuesday that he heels good and hopes to return to the lineup in the next few days.
Bourn left Saturday's game with tightness in his left hamstring, but he's confident that it's only scar tissue breaking up. At the very least, it looks like he'll avoid a stint on the disabled list for now.

Mon May 5 201421:18Michael Bourn tests out hamstring Monday
Indians manager Terry Francona said that Michael Bourn (hamstring) was scheduled to "go hard" in running drills prior to Monday's game.
It's not clear at this point how the running went. The Indians have to make a roster move for Tuesday's starter, Josh Tomlin, and it's possible Bourn will be placed on the DL if he hasn't made the necessary progress. "We've got to see how he feels, and he's the one that has to tell us," Francona said. "We just want to make him understand that he's got to be honest, and then we'll sit down with him and make decisions. That's kind of how we always do things."

Sat May 3 201419:35Bourn leaves game after aggravating hamstring
Michael Bourn was pulled in the third inning Saturday because of tightness in his left hamstring.
Bourn had surgery on that same hamstring last October and re-injured it near the end of spring training. The Indians are saying his removal Saturday was "precautionary," but an extended absence can't be ruled out.

Sun Apr 27 201420:37Bourn stays hot with two hits against Giants
Michael Bourn went 2-for-4 against the Giants on Sunday.
Bourn has been hot at the plate in recent days, as he's got 10 hits in his last 23 at-bats. It's part of a seven-game hitting streak that's got his average up to .295. He's still not stealing bases at a rapid pace -- he's got two in five attempts thus far -- but that may come as his hamstring continues to feel better.

Wed Apr 23 201423:15Michael Bourn goes 3-for-5 in win
Michael Bourn went 3-for-5 with a two-run triple on Wednesday, but he was also caught stealing twice.
The good news is that Bourn has attempted five steals in seven games since coming off the disabled list last week. The bad is that he's been caught on three of those. Still, he'll have a lot more fantasy value if he keeps running. Last year, he attempted just 35 steals in 130 games, a far cry from his peak of 75 and a big drop from the 65 he attempted in 155 games in 2012.

Sat Apr 19 201410:04Michael Bourn not in Indians lineup Saturday
Michael Bourn is not in the Indians starting lineup for Saturday's contest against the Blue Jays.
Bourn, who returned this week from a hamstring injury, is just 1-for-13 (.077) with five strikeouts and a stolen bases in his first three games. It's likely just a day to rest and clear his head, and he's expected to return to the lineup for Sunday's series finale.

Tue Apr 15 201415:15Michael Bourn (hamstring) activated from DL
Indians activated OF Michael Bourn from the 15-day disabled list.
As expected. Bourn tweaked his surgically-repaired left hamstring during spring training and was forced to begin the season on the disabled list, but he's back to 100 percent and made it through a rehab stint without any issues. Get him active in your fantasy lineup.

Thu Apr 10 201418:36Bourn (hamstring) likely back on April 15
Indians manager Terry Francona indicated Thursday that Michael Bourn (hamstring) is likely to be activated from the disabled list on April 15.
Francona said that Bourn being activated on Sunday is a possibility, but it's more likely that the club will wait until Tuesday after Monday's day off. The speedy outfielder has been with Triple-A Columbus for a week but has played in just two rehab games so far because of wet conditions.

Mon Apr 7 201418:42Michael Bourn still needs more rehab games
Michael Bourn (hamstring) had another rehab game with Triple-A Columbus rained out Monday.
Bourn has been with Columbus since last Thursday but has only been able to play in one rehab game. He's expected to need 2-3 more contests to test out his left hamstring before being activated, so it appears he won't be back in the Indians' lineup until this weekend.

Thu Apr 3 201414:58Bourn (hamstring) begins rehab assignment
Michael Bourn (hamstring) reported to Triple-A Columbus on Thursday to begin a rehab assignment.
Indians manager Terry Francona said at the end of spring training that Bourn should be ready to return from the disabled list as soon as he's eligible. That would be this Saturday. The speedy outfielder dealt with hamstring issues for most of March and might not be a great bet for stolen bases in the early going.

Mon Mar 31 201423:21Bourn could be activated as soon as Saturday
Indians manager Terry Francona said Monday that Michael Bourn (hamstring) could be activated from the disabled list as soon as Saturday, the first day he's eligible.
Bourn, who first injury his hamstring on March 16, could go out on a short rehab assignment when Triple-A Columbus begins their season on Saturday. It sounds like that might be the only rehab game he needs. "We're going to talk to Bourny when we get back," Francona said. "I just know, when look at the reports and I see him doing well, I feel good, because that means he'll be back. Whether he's back on the day or a day late, that's not the end of the world."

Sun Mar 30 201412:32Michael Bourn (hamstring) placed on DL
Indians placed OF Michael Bourn on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to March 21, with a strained left hamstring.
Bourn tweaked his hamstring two weeks ago, and the Indians don't want to take any chances with their leadoff man. It's possible he'll be ready to go early on in the season, though it's not a given. Nyjer Morgan has made the Opening Day roster with Bourn out and will see plenty of playing time in center field.

Mon Mar 24 201413:05Bourn (hamstring) will open year on 15-day DL
Michael Bourn (hamstring) will open the 2014 regular season on the 15-day disabled list.
Bourn needed surgery on his left hamstring in mid-October and then began experiencing tightness in that same area last week. The Indians want to make sure he's 100 percent before putting him into their everyday lineup. Bourn's value relies heavily on speed, so this is all very concerning for both fantasy owners and the Cleveland front office.

Sun Mar 23 201413:28Bourn (hamstring) scheduled to run bases Sun.
Michael Bourn (hamstring) is scheduled to run the bases on Sunday and Monday.
The team should have a better grasp on his readiness for Opening Day at that point. Bourn has been out of games for a week after feeling some tightness in his left hamstring during a game on March 16. Even if he's not ready to go on Opening Day, he should be back with the Tribe sooner than later.

Sat Mar 22 201419:15Bourn (hamstring) does some hitting Saturday
Michael Bourn (hamstring) took part in some hitting drills on Saturday.
The outfielder continues to work his way back from a strained left hamstring. He's been playing catch in recent days, and on Friday he did some running as well. Indians manager Terry Francona said Bourn is "progressively getting stronger and more aggressive," and it appears he'll make it back just in time for Opening Day.
