Street notched his 30th save of the season after retiring all three batters he faced in Sunday's 7-5 victory over the Rays.
Now 6-for-6 in his save opportunities since joining the Angels, Street has obviously been a huge addition. The veteran closer has yet to allow a single run out of the Halos' bullpen while posting a 0.86 WHIP and 9:2 K:BB ratio across seven innings.

Street allowed two hits and a walk while striking out two to earn his 29th save of the season against the Rays on Friday.
Street made things interesting in the ninth inning Friday, loading the bases with no one out before retiring the next three batters in succession. However he got it done, Street is now a perfect 5-for-5 in save opportunities since joining the Angels in mid-July, and has yet to allow a run in six innings pitched with his new club.
Sun Jul 27 201420:15Street sets Tigers down in order to earn save
Huston Street pitched a perfect ninth inning Sunday to earn the save against the Tigers.
Street mowed through the top of the Tigers order to close it out, striking out Miguel Cabrera to end it. It was his third save since joining the Angels and 27th overall this year. Street has made a seamless transition back to the American League and is one of the best closing options going right now as a dominant stopper on a very good team.

Thu Jul 24 201401:14Street nails down his 1st save as an Angel
Huston Street picked up his first save as an Angel -- and his 25th save of the season -- in Wednesday's 3-2 victory over the Orioles.
The Angels came back to win once again, scoring two runs in the bottom of the eighth to hand Street his first American League save opportunity since he was a member of the A's in 2008. Los Angeles acquired one of the game's best relievers from the Padres for prospects 2B Taylor Lindsey, SS Jose Rondon and RHPs R.J. Alvarez and Elliot Morris last week. Street boasts a 1.03 ERA and 0.77 WHIP over 35 innings.

Sat Jul 19 201401:50Angels acquire Street in six-player trade
Angels acquired RHP Huston Street and RHP Trevor Gott from the Padres for second baseman Taylor Lindsey, shortstop Jose Rondon, RHP R.J. Alvarez and RHP Elliot Morris.
Even though Joe Smith has done such a nice job in the ninth, the Angels wanted a closer to strengthen their bullpen as a whole. Enter Street, who has been exceptional this year after giving up 12 homers in 56 2/3 innings in 2013. He has a 1.09 ERA so far in 2014, with just three homers allowed in 33 innings. His addition makes Smith and Jason Grilli droppable in mixed leagues. Joaquin Benoit will take over as San Diego's closer. Gott, a 2013 sixth-round pick, projects as a middle reliever or perhaps a setup man in the majors. He has a 3.56 ERA and a 42/18 K/BB in 43 innings between high-A and Double-A this year.

ESPN's Jim Bowden reports that the Angels have agreed to a deal with the Padres to acquire closer Huston Street and a minor league pitcher for Taylor Lindsay, Jose Rondon, Jose Alvarez and another minor leaguer.
On the surface, it looks like a good deal for both sides. The Angels get another stellar bullpen arm that they so desperately coveted, while the Padres receive more than an ample return package as they look to build toward the future. Street is expected to close for the Angels, with Joe Smith moving back into his customary setup role.

ESPN's Jim Bowden reports that the Angels are close to finalizing a deal to acquire Huston Street from the Padres.
There's no word yet on what the Padres will receive in return. Street would surely slide into the closer role for the Halos, with Joe Smith going back to a more suitable setup role. Street has put up a nifty 1.09 ERA, 0.76 WHIP and 34/7 K/BB ratio over 33 innings of work this season for the Padres. He's making $7 million in 2014 and has a $7 million club option on his contract for 2015.

Huston Street worked around a leadoff single in the ninth inning to convert his 22nd save and close out Monday's 1-0 win over the Reds.
Street needed only 10 pitches to finish off Cincinnati. He's thrown just 37 pitches in hurling four straight shutout innings, all saves. Wed Jun 25 201409:56Padres receiving inquiries on Street, Benoit
CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that the Padres are receiving trade interest in Huston Street and Joaquin Benoit.
It's no surprise, of course, as the Padres will be sellers, teams are always looking for bullpen help and both Street (0.96 ERA) and Benoit (1.42 ERA) are having great years. They also both have relatively reasonable contracts, with Street making $7 million this season (with a $7 million club option for 2015) and Benoit making $6 million this season and $8.5 million in 2015 (with an $8 million club option for 2016). Heyman lists the Tigers, Angels, Blue Jays, Orioles, Brewers and Marlins among contending teams thought to be interested in added relief help.

So long as he remains healthy, Street will be one of the league's top fantasy relievers. San Diego has all sorts of problems as an organization, but they aced the eighth and ninth innings with Joaquin Benoit and Street.
