Huston Street hasn't allowed a run since June 23.
Street limped to a 4.43 ERA in 20 1/3 innings before he was disabled in late May with a strained left calf. He also struggled upon his activation in June, allowing four runs and three homers over seven innings that month. He's been one of the majors' best pitchers since June 26, however, posting a 14/2 K/BB ratio over 12 1/3 innings and holding opposing hitters to a .122 batting average and .285 OPS. He's 23-for-24 in save conversions this year.

Sun Jul 21 201316:28Report: Tigers inquire on Street, Gregerson
FOX Sports' Jon Morosi reports the Tigers have expressed interest in Huston Street.
The Tigers are looking to upgrade their bullpen at the trade deadline and have made "initial inquiries" with the Padres on the availability of Street and Luke Gregerson. Street, 29, has a 4.02 ERA and 16 saves this season and is signed through 2014.

Wed Jul 10 201321:23Street owns high ERA, low strikeout rate
Huston Street owns a 4.30 ERA and has struck out just 16 batters over 29 1/3 innings.
Street entered the season with a 9.2 K/9 rate, but he's struck out just 4.9 per nine innings in 2013. In addition, Street's 1.23 WHIP is the highest of his career. He's 0-4, but has been charged with just one blown save. Because of name recognition and a big contract, we suspect Street's job is safe, but he's been of the baseball's shakiest closers this season.

Sun Jun 23 201319:35Street struggles in non-save situation
Huston Street allowed two runs in a non-save situation and was charged with the loss Sunday against the Dodgers.
With the game tied, Street gave up home runs on consecutive pitches to Adrian Gonzalez and Hanley Ramirez in the ninth inning. He continues to struggle in non-save situations, and has now given up 10 home runs though his first 26 innings.

Sat Jun 22 201301:23Street earns his 15th save of the year Friday
Huston Street earned his 15th save of the year Friday as the Padres beat the Dodgers 5-2.
Of more importance, the veteran tossed his first 1-2-3 inning in more than a month, and just his fifth on the year. Street has blown only one opportunity and owns a 4.26 ERA and 1.26 WHIP over 26 appearances.

Tue Jun 18 201304:10Street earns his 14th save of the year Monday
Huston Street earned his 14th save of the year Monday as the Padres beat the Giants 5-3.
Street entered with a 5-3 lead in the 13th inning and stranded Gregor Blanco, who reached on a single. Street isn't striking anyone out -- he has 13 over 24 games -- and has tossed only four perfect innings in 2013. Despite Street's struggles, he's 14-for-15 in save conversions and has a good amount of job security.

Sun Jun 16 201302:00Street notches save in 1st outing since DL
Huston Street allowed a run on two hits Saturday, but escaped with his 12th save of the year against the Diamondbacks.
With one out, Cliff Pennington reached on infield single. Two batters later, he was doubled in by Gerardo Parra. Street next induced a game-ending fly out from Didi Gregorius. It was Street's first appearance since the Padres activated him from the disabled list (strained left calf). The veteran closer has been highly susceptible to damage this year, going 0-3 with a 4.64 ERA. Because of his name, Street presumably has plenty of job security.

Fri Jun 14 201319:09Padres activate Huston Street from 15-day DL
Padres activated RHP Huston Street from the 15-day disabled list.
The Padres were pleased with how Street threw the ball during a minor league rehab assignment, and he appears to be completely recovered from his strained left calf. The Padres' closer has converted 11 of his first 12 save chances while posting a 4.43 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 13/8 K/BB ratio in 20 1/3 innings.

Mon Jun 10 201323:18Huston Street set to begin rehab assignment
Huston Street (calf) will begin a rehab assignment on Wednesday with High-A Lake Elsinore.
Street was cleared for the assignment after throwing a simulated game Monday with no issues. "Threw the ball well, his calf seems to be fine," Padres manager Bud Black said. Wednesday's appearance could be the only one Street needs before being activated if all goes well, possibly putting him in line for activation on Friday, the first day he's eligible.

Sat Jun 1 201319:48Padres closer Street goes on 15-day DL
Padres placed RHP Huston Street on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left calf.
Manager Bud Black said the plan is for Luke Gregerson to get most of the work in the ninth. Dale Thayer will serve as the fallback. Street was 11-for-12 saving games this season, but he had allowed seven homers in 20 1/3 innings and taken three losses. The two weeks off might be a good thing for him.

Sat Jun 1 201318:34Huston Street (calf) likely headed to DL
Huston Street appears set to land on the DL because of his sore left calf.
Corey Brock of MLB.com notes that Street and Nick Vincent are absent from the Padres' lineup card tonight, while Robbie Erlin and Tommy Layne are present. That suggests Street is being placed on the DL. Luke Gregerson and Dale Thayer could get save chances in his place.

Sat Jun 1 201308:34Street unavailable due to left calf injury
Huston Street was unavailable Friday due to left calf soreness.
It's not clear how long he'll be sidelined, but Street had a calf injury last season that landed him on the disabled list. Luke Gregerson and Dale Thayer would be in line for save chances if Street needs an extended absence.

Thu May 30 201301:34Huston Street gives up seventh homer
After entering a tie game against the Mariners, Huston Street gave up his seventh homer of the year to Jason Bay on Wednesday.
Street was in line for the loss after giving up the run in the top of the ninth, but the Padres bailed him out and went on to win in 10. Street has allowed just 17 hits in 20 1/3 innings, but 40 percent of them have been homers. He's still 11-for-12 in save chances, so the Padres have no reason to remove him from the closer's role.

Tue May 21 201301:27Street notches 11th save Monday against Cards
Huston Street notched his 11th save Monday by tossing a perfect ninth as the Padres beat the Cardinals 4-2.
This was Street's first perfect complete inning since May 8 against the Marlins. Street has been uncharacteristically wild this season and that has led to an 0-3 record, 4.19 ERA and 1.24 WHIP (19 points above his career mark). If Street can improve upon his 13/8 K/BB rate (over 20 appearances), he'll have another good season as San Diego's stopper. If he doesn't iron out his control issues, it could be a long year. Street's stuff simply isn't good enough (he's allowed six homers in 2013) to compensate for extra base runners.

Sun May 19 201301:43Street earns his 10th save of the year
Huston Street earned his 10th save of the year Saturday as the Padres beat the Nationals 2-1.
He struck out a batter but walked two in the scoreless frame. Street was one-day removed from being the losing pitcher after giving up a game-winning home run to Chad Tracy. Street is 0-3, going 10-for-11 in save conversions and posting a 4.42 ERA and 1.31 WHIP.
