Street has been one of the top closers in baseball over the last two seasons, and while his strand rates for those years are almost certainly unsustainable, he was able to lower his home run rate and increase his strikeout percentage last season, which should help him achieve another successful campaign.

The Angels are fully expected to exercise Street's $7 million option for 2015, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

The $7 million price tag on Street will represent a significant bargain for the Angles, who acquired the right-hander from the Padres shortly after the All-Star break. Street posted career-best numbers in 61 appearances between San Diego and Anaheim in 2014, with a 1.37 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 41 saves (against three blown saves).

Street retired the A's in order to pick up his 41st save of the season Wednesday.

Street continued to build on his career-best save total Wednesday, converting his third opportunity in his last four games. The right-hander lowered his ERA to 1.37 with the performance. He has struck out a batter in each of his last six appearances (5.1 innings).
