The right-hander will look to bounce back in his next scheduled outing at home versus the Mets.

Matt Garza picked up a win over the Pirates after allowing three runs in six innings Saturday.

But he kept it together today, pitching just well enough to win for the fourth time. His next start will be his first of the year against the Reds.

Wed May 28 201400:25Garza surrenders six runs against Orioles
Matt Garza allowed six runs -- three earned -- while striking out nine over 6 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Orioles on Tuesday.
Garza allowed three runs through six innings and was on his way to a clean seventh before a throwing error on Jean Segura gave the Orioles an extra out. Steve Pearce took full advantage, blasting a three-run home run that sullied what was otherwise a promising start for Garza. Instead, the right-hander remains 2-4 with a 4.84 ERA through 11 starts. He's showing signs of improvement, though, and perhaps Monday's meeting with the Twins is the start when he puts it all together.

Garza was tagged for eight hits and surrendered three walks, and stands 0-2 on the year with a 4.50 ERA. This is not what the Brewers had in mind when they shelled out a four-year, $52 million deal. Tue Apr 15 201400:22Matt Garza gives up four runs in loss
Matt Garza fell to 0-2 after giving up four runs and nine hits in seven innings against the Cardinals on Monday.
The Brewers are 10-3, but Garza hasn't been able to get on the board in three starts. He pitched eight innings in a 1-0 loss on April 2 and then got a no-decision in what turned into a 9-4 victory over the Phillies on Wednesday. It's still rather encouraging the way Garza is throwing after his poor spring; his stock is definitely up some. He's set to face the Pirates next.
