Sun Sep 26 202111:40Jorge Soler Hits Game-Tying Blast
Atlanta Braves outfielder Jorge Soler has been putting on a show with his new team. On Saturday, he went 3-for-5 with a double, home run, and 3 RBI in the 10-8 win over the San Diego Padres. That home run was a huge three-run blast that tied the game in the sixth inning. Then, Soler hit an RBI-double in the 10th to help the Braves get the victory. Wed Sep 22 202108:56Jorge Soler Leads Off In Second Straight Game
Atlanta Braves outfielder Jorge Soler batted leadoff for the second straight game on Tuesday against the Arizona Diamondbacks. He went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in the game. The 29-year-old veteran had been primarily hitting second in the order with Ozzie Albies leading off, but lately the team has gone with Soler at the top, followed by Freddie Freeman and Albies. Soler has been rejuvenated since joining the Braves at the trade deadline. Over 45 games with the team, he's slashing .272/.352/.520 with 11 home runs, 24 RBI and 28 runs. He should be rostered in just about all fantasy leagues while he continues to produce and hit out of a prime spot in a potent Braves lineup.

Sun Sep 19 202115:13Jorge Soler Sitting Sunday
Atlanta Braves outfielder Jorge Soler is taking a seat on the bench for Sunday's matchup against the San Francisco Giants, according to MLB.com. Soler is slashing .219/.312/.419 with 23 HRs, 59 RBI, and 64 runs over 136 games. Since being traded to the Braves, though, he's been a great fantasy asset, batting .272 with 10 HRs while slugging .512. Joc Pederson will get the start in right field and bat leadoff. Pederson is slashing .219/.289/.410 against righties this season, and with right-hander Anthony DeSclafani on the bump, fantasy managers can look elsewhere for an outfielder.

Fri Sep 3 202100:32Jorge Soler Blasts Homer On Thursday
Atlanta Braves outfielder Jorge Soler has looked like a completely different player since the end of July. He now has nine home runs in 29 games with the Braves. On Thursday, Soler went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a single in the 6-5 win over the Colorado Rockies. The 29-year-old has found new life in Atlanta. He is certainly worth a roster spot in basically all fantasy formats right now.

Wed Sep 1 202119:21Jorge Soler Gets Rest Day On Wednesday
Atlanta Braves outfielder Jorge Soler (rest) is out of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. This appears to be a routine rest day for the slugging outfielder. Soler has been on fire since joining the Braves roster and should be rostered in basically all fantasy formats right now. Adam Duvall will cover right field and bat seventh versus righty Max Scherzer. It's never a smart idea to bet against Scherzer, so Duvall will be off the DFS radar for Wednesday.

Mon Aug 30 202100:40Jorge Soler Remains Hot Versus Giants
Atlanta Braves outfielder Jorge Soler remained hot at the plate during Sunday's game against the San Francisco Giants. Since the trade deadline, Soler has been a tough man to get out at the plate. He has a .282 average and seven homers over 25 games with Atlanta. On Sunday, Soler went 2-for-4 with a home run and an RBI in the 9-0 win. Fantasy managers should check the waiver wire and make sure Soler isn't still sitting there. He should be started in most fantasy formats right now.

Atlanta Braves outfielder Jorge Soler has turned the page since the trade deadline move to his new club. Sat Aug 21 202100:11Jorge Soler Slugs 17th Homer In Victory
Atlanta Braves outfielder Jorge Soler has somewhat improved with the bat since the trade in July. On Friday, Soler went 1-for-4 with a solo home run off lefty Keegan Akin in the third inning. A run that was fairly important in the 3-0 victory over the Baltimore Orioles. That home run marked Soler's 17th long ball of the season. Everyone is aware of Soler's incredible power. Sadly, he'll take a .202/.302/.390 slash line into his next game. Fantasy managers in need of a power bat should look towards Soler. Otherwise, he can be ignored in most formats.

Sun Aug 15 202119:35Jorge Soler Goes Hitless For Third Straight Game
Atlanta Braves outfielder Jorge Soler continued to struggle at the plate on Sunday, going 0-for-5 with a strikeout in a 6-5 win over the Nationals. It was his third straight game in which he was held hitless, as he's now slashing .115/.258/.154 with two runs scored over his last seven games. It's been a rough year overall for Soler, as he's slashing .198/.299/.379 with 16 homers, 43 RBI and 46 runs scored over 108 games between Kansas City and Atlanta. He'll provide enough value in deeper formats to remain rostered, but outside of that he can be left on the waiver wire.

Wed Aug 4 202112:09Jorge Soler Blast Two-Run Shot Against Cardinals
Atlanta Braves outfielder Jorge Soler was showing off his impressive power ability during Tuesday's win over the St. Louis Cardinals. He went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run off lefty Jon Lester in the first inning. The 29-year-old has 14 homers on the season, but seven of them have come after the All-Star break. His batting average is barely over the .200 mark, but Soler has some of the best rare power in the game. He can certainly help fantasy managers who are in need of a power bat.

Sun Aug 1 202111:36Jorge Soler Collects Three Hits In Braves Debut
Atlanta Braves outfielder Jorge Soler began his team debut with a bang on Saturday. He went 3-for-4 with an RBI single in the 8-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers. Soler has struggled at the plate this season, but offers huge upside in terms of power. He is a threat to go deep everytime he steps up to the plate. He is slashing .199/.293/.375 with 13 homers and 38 RBI in 95 games on the season. Soler isn't worth rostering in most fantasy formats, but maybe a change of scenery will help his value.

Fri Jul 30 202118:35Braves reload for chase in mediocre NL East with 4 trades
ATLANTA (AP) — The Atlanta Braves’ flurry of trade-deadline moves on Friday highlighted how fortunate they are to be in the NL East, where any team close to .500 is still relevant. Though the Braves entered the day one game under .500, they were only four games behind the first-place New York Mets. Emboldened by the standings, general manager Alex Anthopoulos acquired outfielders Adam Duvall, Jorge Soler and Eddie Rosario and reliever Richard Rodriguez in an attempt to position Atlanta for a run at its fourth consecutive division title. The moves were notable for a team that has not been above .500 all season. “There’s no doubt we’ve had our challenges,” Anthopoulos said. “The one thing that’s fortunate for us is we’re playing in the NL East in 2021. We’re all in it.” The Mets, second-place Phillies and Braves are still in the race. The Nationals and Marlins bowed out, moving veterans for prospects at the trade deadline. “From our standpoint, when talent leaves the NL East, we’re certainly... [More]
Fri Jul 30 202116:41Braves Revamp Outfield, Acquire Jorge Soler
The Atlanta Braves continued to revamp their outfield on Friday, acquiring Jorge Soler from the Kansas City Royals just before the deadline passed, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network. There's no word on the return yet for Kansas City, but Soler is now the third outfielder that Atlanta acquired Friday after trading for Eddie Rosario and Adam Duvall. Soler has struggled at the plate this year with a .192 average and .658 OPS, but he has still managed to slug 13 homers with 37 RBI and 38 runs scored over 94 games. He won't figure to have much value in fantasy outside of deeper formats.

BOSTON (AP) — Held hitless into the eighth inning by Domingo Germán and looking feeble, Alex Verdugo and the Boston Red Sox suddenly erupted for five runs and stormed past the New York Yankees 5-4 Sunday. Verdugo opened the eighth with a long double for Boston’s first hit. Later, Kiké Hernández slid home headfirst on Xander Bogaerts’ sacrifice fly with the go-ahead run to cap the rally. The Red Sox won for the 10th time in 13 games against the Yankees and reclaimed first place in the AL East, a game ahead of Tampa Bay. New York fell nine games behind Boston. Boston trailed 4-0 when Verdugo doubled to deep right, and Germán was lifted after the hit. Jonathan Loaisiga (7-4) relieved, and Boston broke loose with four straight hits.
