Nelson started Monday with Ty Lawson being rested and was able to contribute for those who selected him in daily leagues. He will have limited value again when Lawson returns, but can be a solid fantasy contributor when given extended playing time.

Nelson will move back to the bench for Sunday's game against the Pelicans, the Denver Post reports.

Even in limited minutes, Nelson could be worth owning in 16-man leagues or deeper.

Ty Lawson was a late scratch with an illness, which makes Nelson a strong play in daily leagues if the price is low. He won't do anything too awesome, but he should be able to compile enough stats to warrant a nod, given his likely 30-36 minutes of court time with Lawson out.

Nelson moved back to the bench for Sunday's game against the Thunder.

Nelson enjoyed the start against the Bucks on Friday since Ty Lawson (undisclosed) was held off the court, although Nelson is expected to remain on the bench moving forward unless something happens to Lawson in the future.

Nelson (Achilles) returned from a four-game absence Friday. He started, scored seven points (2-10 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-3 FT), and added four rebounds, seven assists, and one steal in 37 minutes against the Bucks.

This amounts to par for Nelson at this stage of his career. While he still has some value, especially as a passer, his shooting efficiency has been terrible all season - he is averaging just 36 percent from the field.

Nelson (achilles) will start Friday against the Bucks.

Nelson's start comes on the back of Ty Lawson's absence from Wednesday's practice. While it could provide him with a temporary boost in minutes Friday, it likely won't be a long-term situation.

Nelson will head into the All-Star break nursing an Achilles injury.

Nelson missed the final four games leading up to the All-Star break but should benefit from the 10 days rest that the Nuggets will get before their next game on Feb. 20 against the Bucks. Perhaps more importantly, the aging veteran has a backup role in Denver and provides limited value behind Ty Lawson.
