Nelson (Achilles) won't take the court Monday against the Thunder, the Nuggets' official site reports.
Nelson is missing his third game in a row due to a tight Achilles, an injury that can linger without significant rest. As a result, there's no telling when he'll be available, meaning he should be considered questionable going forward.

Nelson (Achilles) remains questionable for Monday's game against the Thunder, Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reports.
Nelson has been battling tightness in his Achilles, which has kept him out of the Nuggets' last two games. He returned to practice Sunday, however, which would seem to be a positive indication. That said, he'll be evaluated by the team's medical staff Monday afternoon, and a decision may not come until close to the 9:00 PM ET tip.

Nelson (Achilles) practiced Sunday but remains questionable for Monday's game against the Thunder, the Denver Post reports.
Nelson has already missed two straight games with this current Achilles injury. His availability should be updated after Monday's morning shootaround.
Fri Feb 6 201509:36Nelson (Achilles) ruled out for Friday's game against Pistons
Nelson (Achilles) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Pistons, Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reports.
Nelson is still battling some soreness with the Achilles that first surfaced in Tuesday's loss to Philadelphia. With the Nuggets not even waiting until the start of morning shootaround to rule Nelson out, it would seem he's not progressing as quickly as hoped from the injury. His absence leaves Randy Foye and Erick Green as the top backups at point guard behind starter Ty Lawson. Nelson's next chance to play will come Monday against the Thunder.
Wed Feb 4 201518:30Nelson (Achilles) doubtful to play Wednesday against Celtics
Nelson (Achilles) is doubtful to play Wednesday against the Celtics, Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reports.
Nelson came out of Tuesday's loss to the Sixers with soreness in his Achilles. While he'll dress for Wednesday's game, he won't play and should be considered questionable for Friday's matchup with the Pistons in Detroit.

Nelson was back in a bench role Sunday with Ty Lawson (personal) back in action. Nelson put up nine points (3-4 FG, 3-4 3Pt), one rebound, four assists, and one steal in 14 minutes.
Nelson has played well since joining the Nuggets, but he's been shooting 51 percent from the field, which is far off the 37 percent he's averaging for the season, pointing to a likely decline in production for Nelson. It's also suspect that the Nuggets would bring in a veteran backup point guard at a time when they appear highly unlikely to fight for a playoff spot. If the team ever decides to focus on the future this season, Nelson would be at risk of getting benched in favor of playing a younger guard. Pass him up in standard leagues.
Sat Jan 24 201511:20Jameer Nelson: Scores 23 Points In Start
Nelson started in place of Ty Lawson (personal) against the Celtics on Friday. During 42 minutes on the court, Nelson recorded 23 points (9-20 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven assists, and one steal.
Lawson was arrested under suspicion of DUI early Friday morning and it's still unclear how the NBA will proceed with his situation. If Lawson misses anymore time, Nelson is a great play in daily leagues and could have some short-term relevancy in seasonal leagues.
Fri Jan 23 201519:48Nelson will get start at point guard Friday
Nelson will get the start at point guard Friday, the Denver Post's Chris Dempsey reports.
Ty Lawson is out Friday after getting arrested Friday morning on suspicion of DUI. While Lawson is expected back for the Nuggets' next game, the league could levy a suspension against Lawson, in which case Nelson could get a few more starts. He makes for a solid daily league option Friday.

Nelson scored 14 points and had five assists in 25 minutes Monday against the Warriors.
Nelson is putting up great numbers as the backup to Ty Lawson, as he's now scored at least 14 points in each of his three games in Denver. Over that span, he's averaging 5.3 assists and also making 2.0 three-pointers per game.

Nelson made his debut with the Nuggets on Friday in a loss to the Mavericks, scoring 14 points (5-14 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-3 FT) and dishing out seven assists before fouling out of the game.
Since Nate Robinson was sent to the Celtics (and eventually bought out) in the Nelson trade, Nelson is the definitive backup point guard for the Nuggets. This is the third team Nelson has been on this season, and has been fairly ineffective at each stop. In six games with the Celtics, he shot just 22 percent from the floor, and with the Mavericks to start the season, he averaged 7.3 points per game while averaging 7.1 shots.
Fri Jan 16 201513:15Nelson will be in uniform to play against Mavericks on Friday
Nelson will be in uniform to play against the Mavericks on Friday, the Denver Post reports.
Nelson managed to pass his physical and will be set to make his debut for Denver on Friday. However, he'll come off the bench behind Ty Lawson and will likely split time with Randy Foye (quadriceps) in the long term when Foye returns to health.
Tue Jan 13 201518:37Jameer Nelson: Traded To Nuggets
Nelson will be traded to the Nuggets, Yahoo! Sports reports.
It was not a great fit for Nelson in Boston, as the Celtics were not interested in using the veteran point guard in their current competitive cycle. Nate Robinson departs Denver in the move, so Nelson should take over the backup point guard duties for the Nuggets.

Nelson (Ankle) missed his fifth consecutive game Saturday against Toronto.
Nelson has been nearing a return, but was sidelined once again on Saturday. Trade rumors regarding Nelson have been circulating over the past few days, so it's possible he'll be moved to a contender well before the deadline.
Fri Jan 9 201511:55Nelson will in fact be inactive for Friday's game against Pacers
Nelson will in fact be inactive for Friday's game against the Pacers, the Boston Herald reports.
Nelson has been dealing with a minor ankle injury, although his two most recent stints on the inactive list are less about his health and more about coach Brad Stevens' vision at this point in the season. The veteran could certainly play a role if the Celtics were in playoff contention, although that seems unlikely and so Stevens is affording younger guards like Marcus Smart and Phil Pressey time on the court with a more long-term goal in mind. Unless Nelson gets moved again before the trade deadline, he may be in store for a quiet second half of the season.

Nelson (ankle) will likely be inactive for Friday's game against the Pacers, Marc D'Amico of Celtics.com reports.
Coach Brad Stevens said Friday that he intends to keep the same inactives that he had Wednesday, thus meaning that Nelson will likely stay off the court for his fourth-straight game. If that comes to fruition Nelson's next opportunity to play will come against the Raptors on Saturday.
Wed Jan 7 201518:15Nelson (ankle) will not play Wednesday against Nets
Nelson (ankle) will not play Wednesday against the Nets.
Coach Brad Stevens said Nelson was close to returning but was not quite healthy enough, so the point guard will miss his third straight contest due to a sprained ankle. His absence should equate to more minutes for both Marcus Smart and Phil Pressey.
Wed Jan 7 201512:00Nelson (ankle) considered game-time call for Wednesday's game ag...
Nelson (ankle) is considered a game-time call for Wednesday's game against Brooklyn.
A sprained ankle has kept Nelson out of the Celtics' last two contests, but he said Tuesday that his condition is improving. He'll likely test it out during shootaround before making a final call. If he's cleared, he'll likely come off the bench. In six games since coming over from Dallas, Nelson is yet to top nine points, but he's notched three games of eight or more assists.

Nelson (ankle) says his ankle has improved but he remains day-to-day in advance of Wednesday's matchup with Brooklyn.
Nelson has missed the last two games since spraining his ankle Friday against the Nets. He'll likely test it out during Wednesday's shootaround, after which an update on his status should be available. In his absence, Phil Pressey has seen increased minutes off the bench with Evan Turner moving into the starting lineup.
Mon Jan 5 201518:20Nelson (ankle) will not play Monday against Charlotte
Nelson (ankle) will not play Monday against Charlotte, reports.
Nelson will miss his second straight game while dealing with a sprained ankle. The Celtics will likely go with Avery Bradley and Evan Turner in the backcourt after the pair combined for 46 points (20-37 FG) in Saturday's overtime loss to Chicago. Consider Nelson questionable to play Wednesday against Brooklyn.
Sat Jan 3 201515:48Nelson (ankle) will not play Saturday against Bulls
Nelson (ankle) will not play Saturday against the Bulls, CSNNE.com reports.
It's not entirely clear when or how the injury occurred, but Nelson will be forced to sit with what's been labeled a right ankle sprain. His absence should create more minutes for Evan Turner and Phil Pressey.
