Sat Mar 22 201401:18Lee scores 12 points with two threes
Courtney Lee scored 12 points on 4-of-14 shooting (including two threes) with one rebound, one assist and three steals in 32 minutes on Friday.
If Marc Gasol misses any time then Lee could see the touches he might need to crawl into some late round value, but there are no guarantees here. Deep league owners can make a better case for a speculative add here, but either way Lee is somebody to watch if Gasol is out.

Sat Mar 15 201422:23Courtney Lee quiet in win over Sixers
Courtney Lee hit 3-of-6 shots and zero 3-pointers for six points and four rebounds in Saturday's win over Philly.
Lee has really cooled off, scoring in single digits in three of his last five games, while hitting just two triples over that stretch. The timeshare with Tony Allen isn't doing either of them any favors, and both are tough starts in fantasy leagues right now.

Thu Mar 13 201400:31Lee held to four points on 1-of-6 shooting
Courtney Lee hit just 1-of-6 shots for four points, two rebounds, one assist and one steal over 23 minutes on Wednedsay against the Pelicans.
Lee was clinging onto low-end value in 12-team leagues entering tonight and this is probably the last straw for folks holding on. Tony Allen outplayed him tonight with 13 points, four rebounds, three steals and one block, but Lee has been the better play of the two for the last few weeks. This is a situation to avoid in 12-14 team formats.

Tue Mar 11 201423:10Courtney Lee scores 16 in win over Blazers
Courtney Lee made another start and hit 7-of-12 shots and a 3-pointer for 16 points and a steal in 25 minutes on Tuesday.
Tony Allen came off the bench for seven points, three rebounds, two assists, a steal and a 3-pointer in 23 minutes. The two are in a timeshare and James Johnson is out of the rotation. Lee has become inconsistent since the return of Allen, scoring nine or fewer points in four straight games. Start him (and Allen) at your own risk.

Sat Mar 8 201423:07Courtney Lee quiet in win over Charlotte
Courtney Lee hit 4-of-6 shots and zero 3-pointers for nine points, four rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block in 27 minutes in another start on Saturday.
Tony Allen came off the bench for eight points, six rebounds and four assists on 4-of-6 shooting in 22 minutes. The timeshare is on and while both players are still putting up respectable numbers, the fact remains that they're severely hurting each other's value. If you need to drop either player for a hot free agent, it makes sense.

Fri Mar 7 201422:56Lee struggles again on Friday vs. Bulls
Courtney Lee struggled again on Friday against the Bulls, scoring just six points on 3-of-8 shooting with two rebounds and one block in 28 minutes.
Lee had a nearly identical scoring line on Wednesday but floated his value with three steals that night. While it feels like he has fallen off of a cliff, he's still a top 90-120 value (9/8 cat) over his last four games with averages of 9.5 points, 1.3 treys, 1.3 steals and 0.8 blocks while hitting 48.5 percent of his shots. It certainly looks like his role on offense has shrunk but a shift from offense to defense may have some sustainability. A vote to drop in 12-team, 8-cat formats is akin to a bet he can't keep averaging over 3.0 combined steals, blocks and threes going forward if this role continues.

Wed Mar 5 201423:57Courtney Lee cools off in ugly loss
Courtney Lee started again on Wednesday but hit just 2-of-7 shots (zero 3-pointers) for four points, two rebounds, two assists and three steals in 26 minutes.
He was hot coming in and should continue to start over Tony Allen. But it looks like Allen and James Johnson could eat into his minutes going forward, and we're just hoping tonight didn't signal the beginning of the end for Lee's hot run. Wait and see what happens on Friday against the Bulls before making a final decision on whether to keep or drop him.

Sun Mar 2 201400:21Courtney Lee scores 19 points vs. Cleveland
Courtney Lee stayed hot against the Cavs on Saturday with 19 points, four boards, one assist, two blocks, one steal and five 3-pointers in 33 minutes.
He's had no problem whatsoever since the return of Tony Allen. Since Allen returned, Lee averaged 13.4 points, 3.8 boards, 2.0 assists, 0.4 steals and 2.2 triples on 49.0 percent from the field. The Grizzlies traded for him for a reason and they're drawing up a lot of plays for him in their offense.

Thu Feb 27 201401:07Courtney Lee scores 18 points vs. Lakers
Courtney Lee scored a team-high 18 points against the Lakers during Wednesday's 108-103 victory with two boards, five assists and two 3-pointers in 28 minutes.
He's still logging some serious minutes since Tony Allen has returned and looks like he'll be able to hold his value in standard leagues. In his last five, Lee averaged 12.2 points, 3.8 boards, 2.8 assists, 0.6 steals and 1.0 triples. Unless there is an irresistible, must-add player on the wire, his owners should stick with him.

Sat Feb 22 201421:57Courtney Lee poor shooting, but nine boards
Courtney Lee hit just 4-of-13 shots, but still finished with 10 points, nine rebounds, one assist and a 3-pointer in Saturday's loss to Charlotte.
Lee's minutes could get funky with Tony Allen back, but it was James Johnson who took the minutes hit tonight, playing just 10. Lee was good for 35 minutes tonight, so thus far, he looks like a fantasy hold, despite the poor shooting.

Wed Feb 19 201400:10Courtney Lee quiet, but plays 37 minutes
Courtney Lee had just six points, four assists, two steals and a block on 2-of-8 shooting, but started and played 37 minutes on Tuesday.
Tony Allen wasn't back for this one, but is getting close. And Mike Conley was back in action for the Grizzlies tonight. We're going to call it a bad night for Lee, since he could easily have put up big numbers with so many minutes. But once Allen is back, we'll have to see what Lee's role is going forward.

Wed Feb 12 201421:43Courtney Lee puts up 17 points in win vs. ORL
Courtney Lee scored 17 points and added six rebounds, two assists and one steal vs. the Magic on Wednesday, helping the Grizzlies take a two-game winning streak into the All-Star break.
Lee was bothered recently by a nagging ankle injury but it hasn't limited him in recent games, and he'll now get six full days to rest and recuperate. He's been a top-50 player in nine-cat leagues over the past month, but be prepared for his 34 minutes per game to dwindle whenever Tony Allen (wrist) is healthy enough to return.

Tue Feb 11 201423:24Courtney Lee scores 13 points in win
Courtney Lee's ankle injury didn't limit him much during Tuesday's win over the Wizards with 13 points, one board, one assist, two steals, one block and one 3-pointer.
He had a minor ankle injury on Sunday and showed up on the injury report for tonight's game. Lee was active on both ends and didn't seen affected by the injury during a big win. Things should get interesting for the Grizzlies on the wing with Tony Allen coming back, but Lee owners should see how it plays out before making a proactive move.

Tue Feb 11 201418:57Courtney Lee (ankle) ready to start vs. WAS
Courtney Lee (ankle) is ready to go for Wednesday's matchup with the Wizards.
He suffered a minor ankle injury but it was never expected to keep him out, and he should get as many minutes as he can handle with Mike Conley and Tony Allen both out again.

Tue Feb 11 201412:21Courtney Lee should be fine for Tuesday
Courtney Lee (ankle) is expected to play in Tuesday's game against the Wizards.
Lee sustained a minor ankle roll on Sunday, but he didn't incur any swelling and went through shootaround. Expect the usual 35+ minutes with Tony Allen still sidelined.

Thu Feb 6 201400:30Courtney Lee breaks through, scores 22 points
Courtney Lee busted out of a slump on Wednesday with 22 points, five boards, four assists, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers in 40 minutes.
He shot just 33.3 percent for 9.5 points per game. Lee has been running the offense quite a bit with Mike Conley (ankle) out and should have a couple more good games in him. It's unclear how the Grizzlies will run their rotation, but Lee owners should keep him owned and cross that bridge when they get to it.

Tue Feb 4 201401:37Courtney Lee gets Thabo'd in losing effort
Courtney Lee shot 3-of-10 from the field on Monday night for 11 points with four boards, one assist, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 37 minutes during an 86-77 loss to the Thunder.
He got the Thabo Sefolosha treatment tonight with one of the best defenders on him like a cheap suit. Lee is getting some serious playing time, but his shot has not been dropping in his last two games. Lee closed out January with seven consecutive games shooting at least 50 percent from the field, so there's little reason to worry here.

Sat Feb 1 201422:51Courtney Lee hands out seven dimes in win
Courtney Lee handed out seven assists against the Bucks on Saturday with eight points, five boards and one 2-poitner in 40 minutes.
Tonight was a little disappointing for Lee in a nice matchup. He did handle the ball quite a bit tonight and the Grizzlies had some rhythm on offense. Before tonight, the Grizzlies frequently used him in pick and roll, which continued in the win. He should have bigger days ahead in the next two games at the very least.

Sat Feb 1 201400:04Courtney Lee gets some run at point guard
Courtney Lee handled the point-guard duties for the Grizzlies down the stretch against the Wolves on Friday, finishing with 16 points, five boards, one assist, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes.
With Mike Conley (ankle) going down, Lee ran the offense and did a solid job. He's done this before, so it's not a big surprise. The Grizzlies really don't have a reliable backup point guard and Lee will likely continue to be the primary ball-handler on Saturday and perhaps beyond. He should be owned in all standard leagues.

Thu Jan 30 201401:49Courtney Lee only puts up four points
Courtney Lee had a long overdue sub-par game on Wednesday with four points, two boards, one steal and one turnover in 25 minutes.
He's been hot over his previous 10 games, shooting 55.6 percent from the field for 15.0 points in 30.6 minutes. There has been no transitional period for Lee whatsoever and the team will likely try to find a role for him even once Tony Allen (hand) returns. His owners should stand pat unless there's an irresistible free agent on the wire.
