Sat Jan 25 201403:21Courtney Lee scores 19 points in win
Courtney Lee scored 19 points on 6-of-9 shooting with one rebound, two assists and a steal over 28 minutes in Friday's win over the Rockets.
Lee made his only 3-point attempt and all six of his free throws to cap a solid night. His free throw shooting (96%) and field goal shooting (51.8%) over his last 12 games have floated early-to-mid round value throughout that span, but he can't shoot that well forever and Tony Allen's return will complicate matters. The Grizzlies will probably find ways to keep him on the floor, though, and he's well worth owning to see where this heads.

Mon Jan 20 201421:50Courtney Lee scores 19 points on Monday
Courtney Lee scored 19 points against the Pelicans on 6-of-8 from the field during Monday's 95-92 loss, adding two boards, one assist and three 3-pointers.
He has really posted some great lines as the starter for the Grizzlies, averaging 16.3 points, 2.8 boards, 1.0 steals, 0.8 blocks and 1.3 triples on 54.2 percent from the field is his previous four starts. Tony Allen (hand) won't be out much longer, so if Lee is still out there on the wire in a shallow league, it's probably for good reason.

Fri Jan 17 201423:36Courtney Lee scores 17 points in Grizz win
Courtney Lee scored 17 points in the Grizzlies' 91-90 win over the Kings on Friday, hitting 7-of-14 shots with five rebounds, two assists, one steal and one three in another start at shooting guard.
The good news is that the Grizzlies clearly liked what they saw in Lee, and the bad news is that Tony Allen will eventually return to complicate matters. It's probably not wise to summarily dismiss Lee's chances at standard league value when Allen returns, but if a mid-to-high level free agent is available owners can't be attached at the hip.

Thu Jan 16 201400:33Courtney Lee scores nine points vs. Bucks
Courtney Lee was quiet in Wednesday's win over the Bucks with nine points and one 3-pointer.
He shot 3-of-7 from the field, 2-of-2 from the line and committed two fouls in another start. Lee didn't produce any other stats, which was more of less the opposite of what he had been doing. Tony Allen (hand) is still expected to miss more time, so Lee owners shouldn't panic unless it's to add a hit free agent.

Tue Jan 14 201423:11Courtney Lee scores 24 in start for Memphis
Courtney Lee made another start and hit 9-of-15 shots and two 3-pointers for a season-high 24 points, five rebounds and two steals in Tuesday's tough win over OKC.
Lee had 15 points in 32 minutes on Sunday and looked fantastic tonight. Like shooting guards Dion Waiters, C.J. Miles, Nick Young, Jodie Meeks and Randy Foye, to name a few, he'll have some good nights mixed in with some bad ones, but for now, he looks like a player fantasy owners in need of a shooting guard should be targeting. He'll likely lose his starting job once Tony Allen is back from a hand injury, although if he keeps this up, anything is possible.

Sun Jan 12 201420:59Courtney Lee fills in capably for Tony Allen
Filling in at SG for injured Tony Allen (hand), Courtney Lee finished Sunday's 108-101 win over the Hawks with 15 points, two assists, two steals and two blocks in 32 minutes.
The Grizzlies traded for Lee with the intention of using him, as he can improve their perimeter shooting while maintaining their defensive intensity. His starting job will be short-lived with Allen day-to-day, however, and he's only worth a speculative add if you're in dire need of 3-pointers.

Sun Jan 12 201418:12Courntey Lee moves into starting lineup
Courtney Lee will start at shooting guard against the Hawks.
The move was bound to happen and Lee only needed two previous games with the Grizzlies to take over. It's not clear if the move will stick once Tony Allen gets back from a hand injury, but it might make more sense to keep him on the bench to strengthen a weaker Memphis second unit. Lee is worth using in standard leagues at least until Allen gets back because the Grizzlies liked him enough to acquire his sizable contract.

Sat Jan 11 201401:17Lee plays 28 minutes off the bench vs. PHO
Courtney Lee played 28 minutes off the bench on Friday, scoring eight points on 2-of-6 shooting (no threes) with six rebounds, two assists and a steal.
Lee did hit 4-of-4 free throws but this is a very light line with this many minutes. We'll cut him a tiny bit of slack for getting acclimated with his new team, but he needs to show owners something quick while Tony Allen and Marc Gasol are out to have any shot at fantasy value when they return.

Wed Jan 8 201401:26Courtney Lee scores 12 in Grizzlies debut
Courtney Lee made his Grizzlies debut Tuesday and was thrust into action due to Tony Allen's hand injury, hitting 5-of-10 shots and two 3-pointers on his way to 12 points, two rebounds, one assist, a steal and a block in 26 minutes off the bench.
Allen is expected to miss a couple weeks and Lee could see heavy minutes for the rest of this month. He's not a must-own player by any means, but if you're in a deeper league and need a 3-point shooter, he might be able to help.

Tue Jan 7 201411:42Courtney Lee will be available Tuesday
Courtney Lee will be available to play for the Grizzlies Tuesday night.
The Lee for Jerryd Bayless for Ryan Gomes deal between the Grizz, Thunder and Celtics is now official. Look for Lee to get eased in slowly as he needs some practice time with his new team, but he'll eventually have a solid rotational role behind Tony Allen and Tayshaun Prince on the wings.

Sun Jan 5 201417:52Courtney Lee likely out on Sunday night
Courtney Lee will likely not play against the Thunder on Sunday, according to coach Brad Stevens.
This means the proposed deal of Lee for Jerryd Bayless sounds like it's going to happen. The Grizzlies are likely filling a need while the Celtics get a little added financial flexibility in the future thanks to Bayless' expiring deal. As for Sunday, Lee played just 14 minutes on Friday, so there won't be many fantasy implications against the Thunder.

Sun Jan 5 201417:31Grizzlies looking to get Courtney Lee
The Grizzlies are in talks with the Celtics to acquire Courtney Lee in exchange for Jerryd Bayless.
The Grizzlies need help on the wing a little bit with all the injuries they've gone through on the season. Lee make sense in their lineup, especially considering they just started Mike Miller at small forward on Sunday. A change of scenery could help Lee's overall output, but it's not enough to make him an interesting pickup in most leagues.

Sun Dec 22 201320:31Courtney Lee gets extra run in garbage time
Courtney Lee scored 11 points with one 3-pointer, two rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks in 23 minutes off the Celtics' bench on Sunday.
Lee has had a minimal role in the rotation but got extra run tonight with the score out of hand early in the second half. Things got so bad that the Pacers bench actually did the 'wave' toward the end, and this garbage-time special doesn't change Lee's fantasy outlook.

Sat Dec 14 201300:24Courtney Lee sores 18 points in 19 minutes
Courtney Lee got loose to hit 6-of-8 shots and three 3-pointers for 18 points in just 19 minutes off the bench in Friday's win over the Knicks.
Lee was clutch on a night when Jordan Crawford couldn't buy a bucket, but considering the low minutes and the fact he had scored a total of 25 points in his previous eight games, there's no reason to think about adding Lee to your team right now.

Tue Dec 3 201322:42Courtney Lee returns from knee injury
Courtney Lee returned from a knee injury and had 11 points and a 3-pointer on 5-of-7 shooting.
It would take a pretty deep league for Lee to hold fantasy value right now, especially with Rajon Rondo nearing a return.

Mon Dec 2 201313:27Courtney Lee (knee) practices fully Monday
Courtney Lee (sprained knee) practiced fully on Monday.
The injury wasn't severe and it sounds like he'll be in uniform for Tuesday's game vs. the Bucks. He should steal a few minutes from Avery Bradley and Jordan Crawford without offering any fantasy value of his own.

Sat Nov 30 201314:17Courtney Lee (knee) doesn't travel Saturday
Courtney Lee (knee) didn't travel with Boston for Saturday's game in Milwaukee.
Lee is dealing with a sprain, which leaves the door open for him to return on Tuesday when the Bucks come to Boston. He is shooting well this season, including 48 percent from downtown, but he's playing just 17 minutes per game and his role will be reduced even more once Rajon Rondo returns from his ACL surgery.

Fri Nov 29 201319:25Courtney Lee won't play on Friday
Courtney Lee (knee) will not play against the Cavs on Friday.
He had a knee sprain and was ruled out just before the game. It's good to hear and it sounds like he won't need to miss much time. The Celtics will likely just use a combination of Avery Bradley, Jeff Green and Gerald Wallace to fill the void of Lee's 17 minutes per game.

Fri Nov 29 201314:32Courtney Lee is a game-time call
Courtney Lee (knee) is a game-time decision against the Cavs on Friday.
He suffered a knee sprain on Wednesday and not being ruled out yet means he hasn't suffered any sort of serious knee injury. Lee is only play 17 minutes per game and is not worth owning in most leagues with the uncertainty of the Celtics rotation.
