Wed Nov 27 201321:39Courtney Lee diagnosed with knee sprain
Courtney Lee was diagnosed with a left knee sprain and he will not return to Wednesday's game.
X-rays were negative and the team may re-evaluate him with an MRI over the next couple days. Lee finished with no points in nine minutes against the Grizzlies. The Celtics will likely replace Lee's 17.4 minutes with a collective effort, so there's really no corresponding pickups from this injury.

Tue Nov 19 201323:22Courtney Lee scores season-high 17
Courtney Lee hit 7-of-16 shots and three 3-pointers for a season-high 17 points on Tuesday.
This appears to be a garbage-time special, as the Celtics were getting crushed from the opening tip, while Jordan Crawford couldn't find his shot tonight. Just keep an eye on Lee going forward.

Tue Nov 19 201317:28Courtney Lee (wrist) will play vs. Rockets
Courtney Lee (wrist) will return to action vs. the Rockets on Tuesday.
C-Lee may be excited to face his former team, but his return is yawn-inducing for fantasy owners. He's averaging 8.5 points and 0.8 steals in 17 minutes per game, though to his credit he's making a career-best 54.5 percent of his field goals.

Sat Nov 16 201319:32Courtney Lee (wrist) out for Saturday
Courtney Lee (sore right wrist) will not play against the Timberwolves on Saturday.
He's playing just 17.4 minutes per game off the bench for the Celtics. Lee had little value to begin with and the Celtics will likely use a combination of Avery Bradley and Jeff Green to soak up missing the minutes.

Sat Nov 2 201301:29Courtney Lee scores 13 off the bench
Courtney Lee scored 13 points on 6-of-11 shooting against the Bucks on Friday to go with three boards, one assist, two steals and one 3-pointer in 26 minutes.
No other bench guy played more than 14 minutes and tonight Lee was the sixth man ahead of Jordan Crawford, who played 12 minutes and scored just seven points. Lee scored just two points in the opener, so he's hardly worth a pickup in almost any league.

Wed May 8 201308:53Courtney Lee knows game was 'inconsistent'
Courtney Lee admitted that he was "inconsistent" during his first season with the Celtics.
Lee is virtually certain to wind up in trade rumors during the offseason as Danny Ainge looks to tinker with his roster, and it's not clear if Lee's long-term future is with the Celtics. "I wasn't playing like my normal role. Roles changed a little bit, they wanted me to focus more on being a defensive player and spot up-shooter," he said. "I'll be prepared for that, a lot better than I was this year," Lee added.

Mon May 6 201310:01Report: Courtney Lee fuming about demotion
Courtney Lee was privately "chafing" at the idea that he was benched in favor of guys like Jordan Crawford and Terrence Williams.
Can you blame him? Lee shot 46.4 percent from the field including 37.2 percent from behind the 3-point line, but he struggled to grasp Doc Rivers' schemes and was not a part of the playoff rotation. After signing a four-year deal in the 2012 offseason, Lee's name will be in trade rumors after his first season with the Celtics.

Thu Apr 25 201308:52Lee on bench because Crawford playing better
When asked why Courtney Lee played only four minutes in Game 2, Doc Rivers admitted it's because Jordan Crawford is the better player right now.
Ouch. Lee was signed to a multi-year deal in the offseason and was viewed as a potential weapon at both ends of the floor, but he's struggled all season and is now not even in the rotation. "Right now he's playing better, and he gives you better (offense)," Rivers said. "Courtney is better defensively."

Sat Apr 13 201321:53Courtney Lee scores 20 points off Cs bench
Courtney Lee tied his season-high with 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting in Saturday's game, knocking down three 3-pointers with four assists, two steals and one turnover.
This game was a breath of fresh air for Boston -- everyone but Jason Terry (suspended) was available and the Celtics' offense rampaged over the Magic, scoring 120 points on 59.3 percent shooting. Terry may not play in the final two games of the season, and C-Lee is coming off an 18-point game, which makes Lee worth a look for owners still scrounging the waiver wire.

Mon Apr 1 201308:22Courtney Lee feeling good after ankle sprain
Courtney Lee confirmed that his ankle is feeling "good" after Sunday's loss to the Knicks.
"It's fine," Lee said. He was only able to play six minutes in his first game back from the sprained ankle, so the fact that he played 28 on Sunday is an indication he's good to go moving forward.

Sun Mar 31 201322:36Courtney Lee logs 28 minutes vs. New York
Courtney Lee got back to speed vs. the Knicks on Sunday with 10 points, four rebounds and one block in 28 minutes off the bench.
C-Lee played just five minutes in his return from an ankle injury this weekend, but it looks as though he's ready to resume playing closer to 30 per game. He may soon start in a small-ball lineup, as starting center Chris Wilcox finished tonight's game with just two points in 12 minutes.

Fri Mar 29 201322:57Lee (ankle) plays six minutes on Friday
Courtney Lee (ankle) returned to action on Friday, playing six minutes off the bench.
Lee plays again on Sunday so owners will get to see what he does one more time before the Celtics' four-game week. At this rate, he's a deep league asset at best right now.

Fri Mar 29 201318:43Courtney Lee will return as reserve on Friday
Courtney Lee (ankle) will make his return Friday but will come off the bench.
Lee missed the last three games with the injury. He'll come off the bench because coach Doc Rivers wants to see how his ankle responds to game action. It's unclear if this is a permanent assignment or temporary but owners may want to see how he plays against Atlanta tonight before putting him back into their lineups.

Fri Mar 29 201309:30Courtney Lee a game-time decision on Friday
Courtney Lee (ankle) will be a game-time decision on Friday against the Hawks.
Lee has missed three straight games with the ankle injury, but he's believed to be improving and has been tentatively targeting a Friday return. It's unclear if he'll start should he be ready to play, but Lee should get his starting job back immediately as long as he's healthy. If he sits out, the Celtics could start Jordan Crawford at shooting guard or shift Paul Pierce to the backcourt with Chris Wilcox again joining the starting lineup up front.

Wed Mar 27 201311:45Courtney Lee will not play Wednesday night
Courtney Lee (ankle) did not travel to Cleveland and will not play on Wednesday against the Cavs.
Lee was doubtful coming in, so we're not surprised. Jordan Crawford played a whopping 41 minutes on Tuesday, and he'll be expected to start again with Lee out. Jason Terry and Terrence Williams will each see increased roles off the bench as well. Lee is eyeing a return on Friday against the Hawks.

Tue Mar 26 201318:26Courtney Lee doubtful for Wednesday
Courtney Lee (ankle) is considered doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Cavs.
Lee's ankle sprain is going to cost him three games, if not more. Fantasy owners should have already moved on -- possibly to Jordan Crawford, who is starting at shooting guard against the Knicks Tuesday.

Tue Mar 26 201316:53Courtney Lee (ankle) won't play versus Knicks
Courtney Lee (ankle) will not play in Tuesday's game against the Knicks.
Lee was out on the Garden floor testing his ankle about two hours before tip, so he's close. But owners in search of a plug-n-play on this three-game Tuesday night can use his absence to their advantage. Jason Terry projects to start at shooting guard and is the safer play, but bench gunner Jordan Crawford has plenty more upside. With Lee out on Saturday, Crawford posted 21 points, five rebounds and three assists in 27 minutes.

Tue Mar 26 201314:41Courtney Lee (ankle) held out of shootaround
Courtney Lee (ankle) did not participate in Tuesday morning's shootaround.
Lee now appears to be on the wrong side of a true game-time call. If he can't go, look for Jason Terry to start and gunner Jordan Crawford to see plenty of burn off the bench. Crawford erupted for 21 points, five rebounds and three assists when Lee sat out on Saturday night. We'll have official word on Lee's status around 6 p.m. ET.

Mon Mar 25 201312:11Courtney Lee probable to play on Tuesday
Courtney Lee (ankle) is probable for Tuesday's game against the Knicks.
Lee was concerned about his ankle after he couldn't move laterally, but it looks like he'll be ready to return to action after just one game on the sidelines. Jordan Crawford and Jason Terry should each lose a few minutes with Lee's return.
