Sat Mar 23 201318:43Courtney Lee (left ankle) out on Saturday
Courtney Lee (ankle) will not play against the Grizzlies on Saturday and hopes to play on Tuesday.
He suffered a "mild" ankle sprain and it looks like it swelled up on him. The back-to-back set was going to make it tough for him to suit up and with Lee trending down a bit, he's a candidate to cut in many formats. Jason Terry and Jordan Crawford should see more playing time.

Sat Mar 23 201310:45Courtney Lee's ankle better than 1st thought
Courtney Lee says his sprained ankle felt much better after the game than it initially appeared.
Lee had to be carried off the court by his teammates but said he could put pressure on it after he got off the court. Coach Doc Rivers called the sprain mild and Lee plans to ice the ankle and hopes to play Saturday night. Lee's had a solid week for fantasy owners, but any ankle sprain usually slows down any player. We'll update you on his status after the Celtics' shootaround.

Fri Mar 22 201323:37Courtney Lee suffers left ankle injury
Courtney Lee suffered a left ankle injury in the second half of Friday's game and did not return.
Doc Rivers said after the game that the injury isn't serious, but his teammates had to help him to the locker room. Lee had been playing well in the past week, but it's going to be tough for owners to hold him while he's not at 100 percent. Jason Terry (eight points in 22 minutes) and Jordan Crawford (nine points in 16 minutes) would take some of his playing time should he miss Saturday's game at Memphis. Lee finished with five points, one board, on steal and one 3-pointer in 27 minutes.

Thu Mar 21 201300:50Courtney Lee has five points vs. NO
Courtney Lee had just five points with one assist, two steals and one 3-pointer in 37 minutes against the Hornets on Wednesday.
The scoring is ugly, but Lee logging 37 minutes is an encouraging to see. Lee logged 33.8 minutes per game in his previous five and filled the stat sheet, so he's worth a look in most leagues despite the sub-par line.

Tue Mar 19 201300:53Lee scores 13 points with four assists
Courtney Lee played 40 minutes against the Heat on Monday, scoring 13 points with three boards, four assists, three steals and one 3-pointer.
He's coming around finally and in his last three games averaged 12.0 points, 4.0 boards, 2,3 steals, 1.0 blocks and 1.3 triples. Lee can fill it up and he's worth a look in standard leagues while he's playing well.

Sat Mar 16 201322:16Celtics roll w/ strong games from Lee, Terry
The Celtics cruised to a victory on Saturday behind Courtney Lee, who had 12 points, five boards, four assists, one steal and three blocks in 33 minutes.
Six different players scored double-digit points for Boston, led by Jason Terry's 15 points, which led to scattered playing time and a variety of decent but underwhelming fantasy lines.

Wed Mar 6 201309:27Courtney Lee OK after being poked in the eye

Lee said that his vision was blurry in the fourth quarter, but it cleared up after that and he is expected to play on Wednesday against the Pacers.

Tue Mar 5 201322:06Courtney Lee leaves early with eye injury
Courtney Lee hit 2-of-7 shots and a 3-pointer for five points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals in 30 minutes on Tuesday before leaving with an eye injury.
He was poked in the eye by Arnett Moultrie and stayed on the bench for the remainder of the game. He was leading the team in minutes played when he left, and his absence allowed for more minutes from Terrence Williams and Jason Terry. It's hard to say if Lee was out because of the eye or because of a coaching decision, but owners will want to watch for more information on Wednesday.

Courtney Lee scored 14 points on 4-of-8 shooting (1-of-2 3PTs, 5-of-6 FTs) with five rebounds, three assists and one steal over 32 minutes in Monday's overtime win.
Lee has been providing low-end value lately and is worth a look in standard formats.

Thu Feb 21 201301:59Courtney Lee scores 20 in loss to Lakers
Courtney Lee had 20 points and two 3-pointers on 9-of-16 shooting, along with four rebounds, two assists and a steal in Wednesday's loss.
He's coming on a bit after scoring 15 on Tuesday, and is worth a look if you need a scoring guard. Just be prepared for some inconsistency, as he'll have to compete with Avery Bradley (6 points) and Jason Terry (10) along the way.

Wed Feb 20 201300:33Courtney Lee plays well in loss to Nuggets
Courtney Lee had 15 points, three rebounds, four assists, two steals and two 3-pointers on 6-of-9 shooting in Tuesday's loss.
Lee had scored a total of 13 points over his previous three games and had hit just five 3-pointers in his previous seven. He'll get more run with Leandro Barbosa and Rajon Rondo done for the year, but we'll need to see a few more of these before trusting him enough to put him in most lineups.

Fri Feb 8 201309:24Report: Grizzlies explored Courtney Lee deal
According to Ric Bucher, the Grizzlies have explored a potential trade for Courtney Lee.
It doesn't sound like the talks are going far, and they might be dead altogether at this point. Per Bucher, the Celtics would "consider" moving Lee, but they're not interested in a straight salary dumpa and instead are looking for help up front. Lee has drawn interest on the market and could be the Celtics best trade chip before the deadline.

Thu Feb 7 201323:07Courtney Lee scores 13 points in 22 minutes
Courtney Lee played just 22 minutes against the Lakers on Thursday and had 13 points, five boards, three assists, one block and one 3-pointer.
He came in averaging just 9.8 points in his last five games and his 22 minutes tonight were his fewest since Rajon Rondo went down due to injury. We wouldn't rule him out as someone that can hold value in standard leagues, but there might be better options floating around on your waiver wire.

Wed Feb 6 201322:37Courtney Lee scores 15 in Boston win
Courtney Lee had 15 points, two rebounds and three assists on 6-of-11 shooting in 29 minutes on Wednesday.
He's averaging 9.8 points, 3.0 assists, a steal and just under a 3-pointer per game over his last five, which is not exactly what owners of Rajon Rondo, who picked Lee up, were looking for. Expect more of the same going forward. Avery Bradley hasn't been much better. He had 11 points, three boards, two assists, a block and a 3-pointer on 4-of-9 shooting tonight, and is averaging just 8.2 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists over his last five. Both players are borderline owns in fantasy.

Fri Feb 1 201322:59Courtney Lee scores 14 points in nice line
Courtney Lee played a team-high 39 minutes on Friday and had 14 points, five boards, five assists, two steals and two 3-pointers against Orlando.
Lee suffered a minor injury in the game, but he barely missed any time. It was best game since Rajon Rondo went down and this might be the start of something for a guy that has multi-category upside. He's worth a look in standard leagues.

Fri Feb 1 201321:01Courtney Lee hurts midsection on Friday
Courtney Lee injured something in his torso in Friday's game against the Magic.
He went to the ground in a lot of pain and looked to be grabbing his abdomen. The Celtics can't catch a break and would be extremely thin at every level. Avery Bradley and Jason Terry would gain more value with Leandro Barbosa also getting the inside track for more minutes.

Wed Jan 30 201322:54Courtney Lee plays 26 minutes on Wednesday
Courtney had nine points, three assists and one 3-pointer in 26 minutes in Wednesday's win over the Kings.
It was an ugly line with no boards or defense, but at least he logged more minutes than Jason Terry (22) and Leandro Barbosa. Lee will have better days and we like him as a multi-cat guy in standard leagues.

Tue Jan 29 201314:31Courtney Lee to push for 30 minutes now?
In the six games Rajon Rondo has missed this season, Courtney Lee has averaged 32.5 minutes.
It sounds nice, but Lee has turned those hefty minutes into just 10.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.8 steals. He's going to start next to Avery Bradley for the foreseeable future, but he'll be playing in a hot-hand situation along with Jason Terry and Leandro Barbosa. Expect inconsistency as a whole from this group as they try to play without a true point guard.

Tue Jan 29 201312:26Doc Rivers plans to keep Lee with starters
Doc Rivers said that he plans to keep Courtney Lee with the starters.
Doc added everyone's role will remain the same with Rajon Rondo out, which is a little hard to believe given the magnitude of Rondo's impact and his 37.2 minutes per game of playing time. Interestingly, Lee was subbed out for Jason Terry each time he came out of the game until the last minute of regulation and vice versa. Lee is worth a look for his upside in most formats. Jared Sullinger will remain in the starting lineup, as well.

Tue Jan 29 201308:33Courtney Lee in line to start moving forward?
ESPN Boston believes Courtney Lee is in line to start moving forward without Rajon Rondo (knee) in the lineup.
Lee started on Sunday in the C's first game without Rondo and had just four points, two assists, one steal and a block in 26 minutes. However, with his ability to contribute with 3-pointers and steals, owners can give him a look if in need of help in either of those areas. Leandro Barbosa is also expected to see more "consistent" minutes.
