Olynyk has been suspended one game for his role in a play Sunday that resulted in a dislocated shoulder for Cleveland's Kevin Love, Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe reports.
Olynyk and Love were battling for a loose ball during the first quarter of Sunday's Game 4, and Olynyk grabbed and tugged Love's shoulder, popping it out of socket. Love, who said he believes Olynyk had malicious intent, will miss all of the Cavaliers' second round series versus the Bulls or Bucks. Olynyk, meanwhile, will sit out the first game of the 2015-16 season.
Mon Apr 27 201513:17Kelly Olynyk:
Olynyk finished the 2014/15 season with statistics very similar to his rookie season. Over 62 games, Olynyk averaged 22 minutes, 10.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 0.6 blocks and 1.0 made threes per game.
Olynyk's most memorable play from the 2014/15 season might be the arm bar he executed on Kevin Love during Game 4 of the Celtics Round 1 playoff series loss versus Cleveland. This season he did not grow much as a professional, collecting half a rebound less per game than during his rookie year, despite slightly more minutes. The Celtics enter the off-season in desperate need of rim protection, something the 7-foot Olynyk has not been able to provide. Offensively, Olynyk showed signs of promise very early in the season, but quickly returned to his more timid ways. An ankle injury in January further hampered his development. GM Danny Ainge is very anxious to upgrade the roster, leaving Olynyk's future role with the team in doubt.

Olynyk surprisingly only played three minutes with zero shot attempts during the Celtics Game 3 loss Thursday to the Cavs.
Olynyk was lost in the shuffle as the Celtics played small ball in an attempt to keep up with the Cavaliers' spread offense. He is now averaging only 5.7 points and 1.3 rebounds in three playoff games.

Olynyk scored only five points off the bench Tuesday night during Boston's Game 2 loss versus Cleveland.
Despite leading the team in +/- with a plus-13, Olynyk saw only 21 minutes of court time. The surprise return of Jared Sullinger is eating into Olynyk's minutes. The Celtics hope to turn things around in Boston on Thursday.

Olynyk finished with 12 points (5-7 FG, 2-3 3Pt), two rebounds, an assist, a steal and two blocked shots in 18 minutes during Sunday's loss to the Cavaliers.
Olynyk was very efficient with his time on the court Sunday. He was limited to just 18 minutes, but considering how well he played in limited time, he may have earned himself more playing time for game two of the series on Tuesday.

Olynyk had 19 points (7-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal om 22 minutes against the Pacers on Wednesday.
What a performance despite being elbowed in the eye area by a teammate during shootaround. His vision must've been ok as he knocked down three of his four three-point shots.
Wed Apr 1 201517:05Olynyk took elbow to eye during Wednesday's shootaround
Olynyk took an elbow to the eye during Wednesday's shootaround, Kevin O'Connor of CelticsBlog reports.
Shavlik Randolph apparently caught Olynyk with an inadvertent elbow, which caused significant swelling to Olynyk's face. The team hasn't released anything regarding his status, but if the issue is serious enough he could miss Wednesday's matchup with Indiana.

Olynyk scored 20 points (7-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-8 FT) with three rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two steals in 23 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Thunder.
This was Olynyk's best game since returning from injury earlier in the month. He has a high upside, but is a risky option in head to head leagues right now given his recent inconsistency.

Olynyk posted 13 points, five rebounds, and one steal in 20 minutes of action Friday against the Magic.
Olynyk is now six games back from his ankle injury. He's had a slow return, but has been ramping it up recently, averaging 12.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.7 steals, and 2.0 three-pointers made over the last three games. While he's likely going to maintain that kind of production, owners should definitely keep their expectations in check, as Olynyk is a solid low-end player at best in standard leagues.

Olynyk scored 15 points (6-12 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT) with six rebounds, three assists and three steals in just 20 minutes off the bench Wednesday.
It was easily Olynyk's best performance since returning to action from his ankle injury, but until he starts seeing a bigger role in the Celtics' frontcourt rotation, he's a tough player to use on your active roster in most formats.

Olynyk (ankle) came off the bench Wednesday after missing the previous 18 games, failing to score a point in seven minutes.
Given how long he was sidelined it may be a couple of games before Olynyk starts seeing anything close to starter's minutes, so if he was cut loose while he was hurt you may not want to pick him up just yet.
Wed Mar 4 201518:08Kelly Olynyk: (Ankle) Will be Available Wednesday
Olynyk (ankle) will be available Wednesday against the Jazz, Aaron Falk of the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Olynyk will return to the court for the first time since January 22, when he went down with a severe ankle sprain. It's unknown whether he'll be on a minutes restriction, but it seems likely Brad Stevens will monitor the big man's workload for at least his first few games back. Once he returns to full strength, however, he should see a fairly heavy workload with Jared Sullinger done for the season.
Tue Mar 3 201517:45Olynyk (ankle) ruled out for Tuesday's game against Cavaliers
Olynyk (ankle) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Cavaliers.
Olynyk was considered questionable leading up to Tuesday's game, but he'll miss yet another contest as he continues to recover from a severe ankle sprain. The big man hasn't played since mid-January, and he should continue to be considered day-to-day. Upon his return, which shouldn't be too far off, he'll cut into the minutes of Tyler Zeller and Brandon Bass, who have comprised Boston's starting frontcourt since Jared Sullinger was lost for the season.

Olynyk (ankle) remains questionable for Tuesday's game against the Cavaliers.
Olynyk, who had a chance to play Sunday but was ultimately held out, is still dealing with minor soreness in his ankle, and he said he'll wait to see how it feels after shootaround before making a decision. Look for a further update Tuesday afternoon.

Olynyk (ankle) did not play Sunday and remains questionable for Tuesday's game. "It's feeling a little bit better each day, but sometimes you have some setbacks," Olynyk told The Boston Globe.
Olynyk engaged in a few games of one-on-one with Celtics assistant coach Jay Larranaga at practice Saturday, but it seems the Celtics are content with giving Olynyk the time he needs to properly heal. Before the injury, Olynyk averaged 11.0 points, 0.9 blocks, 1.0 steal, and 5.2 rebounds in 24 minutes per game off the bench. There was an outside chance Olynyk would play Sunday, but the team opted to keep him out. He's an interesting player to stash in standard leagues at the moment, but if you're not currently in the playoff picture, it would be better to have a healthy player on your roster.

Olynyk (ankle) may be available off the bench for Sunday's game against the Warriors, although coach Brad Stevens does not anticipate him playing.
It sounds like Olynyk's return to the court is just around the corner, although Sunday may be a bit premature. Assuming he's not deployed against the Warriors, his next opportunity to play will come against the Cavaliers on Tuesday.

Olynyk said that his ankle isn't ready yet, but "it's definitely getting there," after Saturday's practice, according to the Celtics' team website.
Olynyk went through a light session Saturday and is questionable for Sunday's matchup with the Warriors. He has been out since late January after spraining his ankle against Portland. He appears to be on track for a return soon, but his status for Sunday is unclear.

Olynyk (ankle) will return to practice Saturday and is considered questionable for Sunday's game against the Warriors.
Olynyk's availability for Sunday's game will highly depend on how practices goes Saturday. As a result, further news should be released by the Celtics following that practice to determine whether or not he'll make his return to the court after being sidelined since Jan. 22.
Wed Feb 25 201517:59Olynyk (ankle) could return within week
Olynyk (ankle) could return within a week. "I would think it would be within a work, but I don't know that," coach Brad Stevens said.
Olynyk has now missed more than a month with a right ankle sprain, and he finally appears to be nearing a return. It seems unlikely he'd be ready to play Friday against Charlotte, but he should continue to be considered day-to-day. Following Friday's game, Boston plays Sunday (vs. Golden State), Tuesday (at Cleveland) and Wednesday (vs. Utah), so if he's to return within a week, he'll probably be targeting one of those contests.
Mon Feb 23 201510:25Kelly Olynyk: (Ankle) Questionable To Return This Week
Olynyk (ankle) will not play Monday and is questionable to return this week, the Boston Herald's Mark Murphy reports.
He is still recovering from a right ankle sprain, and coach Brad Stevens said Olynyk may be close to return by the end of the Celtics' upcoming homestand, which culminates with Sunday's game against the Warriors. While he could return this weekend, it would be unwise to use him in weekly leagues. Meanwhile, Tyler Zeller is a must add in all formats with Jared Sullinger out for the season, and Brandon Bass should also be looked at as a pretty steady option, especially while Olynyk is out.
