Carter-Williams will come off the bench Monday for the third consecutive game, the Philadelphia Inquirer's Keith Pompey reports.
He had 13 points, five rebounds, five assists and two steals in 27 minutes Friday, and similar production should be expected Monday, despite him acting as a reserve. Tony Wroten should remain in the starting role, where he saw 35 minutes and led the team in points (19) and assists (eight) Friday.

Carter-Williams made his first appearance of the season, coming off the bench to score 19 points (6-19 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 6-10 FT).
Although Carter-Williams didn't make the start, bhe made his first appearance of the season and played 30 minutes, the most of any 76er in a blowout against the Mavericks. This was also the first game that Carter-Williams and Nerlens Noel played in together. Despite his terrible shooting night, Carter-Williams still pulled down eight rebounds, and had five assists. He's now good to go in all leagues.
Thu Nov 13 201419:33Michael Carter-Williams: (Shoulder) Will Come Off Bench Thursday
Carter-Williams will come off the bench Thursday against the Mavericks, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Carter-Williams will likely see limited minutes in his return, and his coming off the bench almost confirms that suspicion. Coach Brett Brown didn't specify how much he expects to play the second-year point guard, but he did say he wanted to be smart about Carter-Williams' minutes. Assuming he doesn't suffer a setback, his minutes should increase with each game he plays.

Carter-Williams (shoulder) may not start Thursday as coach Brett Brown wants to be smart about his minutes, Marc Narducci of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Carter-Williams was already expected to see limited minutes to avoid putting strain on a shoulder that his kept him out of the beginning of the season. His minutes shouldn't be affected too much by coming off the bench if that is indeed what happens.

Carter-Williams (shoulder) remains on track to play Thursday against Dallas but likely won't play big minutes, Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
This comes as no surprise, given the fact that Carter-Williams has not played in an NBA game since the end of last season. While coach Brett Brown did not offer a specific minutes estimate, it's fair to expect Carter-Williams to play well below his 2013-14 season average of 34.5 per game. Carter-Williams will probably continue to be limited over the next handful of games until the Sixers are fully comfortable with his health and conditioning.

Carter-Williams (shoulder) practiced Monday and is on track to return for Thursday's game against the Mavericks.
The reigning Rookie of the Year is yet to play this season as he works back from offseason labrum surgery. He's ramped up his activity of late and appears poised to return on the target date set by the team last week. Carter-Williams figures to immediately take over as the starting point guard, which should push Tony Wroten, who's played well in his stead, back to the bench. Last season, Carter-Williams was one of better contributors across the board at the point guard position, averaging 16.7 points, 6.3 assists and 6.2 boards in 34.5 minutes per game.

Carter-Williams (shoulder) is scheduled to scrimmage during Thursday's practice, Tom Moore of Calkins Media reports.
Carter-Williams is aiming to return Nov. 13, after missing the season to date because of labrum surgery performed in May. The second-year point guard will be allowed for full-contract during Thursday's practice, representing another significant hurdle in his road to recovery. If all goes well, it seems like Carter-Williams will hit his Nov. 13 target date, potentially moving Tony Wroten to shooting guard at that time.
Tue Nov 4 201413:08Carter-Williams (shoulder) expected to be back Nov
Carter-Williams (shoulder) is expected to be back Nov. 13, according to coach Brett Brown, Tom Moore of Calkins Media reports.
Carter-Williams is yet to play this season as he continues to recover from labrum surgery. It appears he'll miss another full week but could return to face the Mavericks next Thursday (Nov. 13). While it's nice to finally have a target return date, continue to monitor Carter-Williams' status on a daily basis, as that date is subject to change. Once he does return, he'll replace Tony Wroten as the starting point guard.

Carter-Williams (shoulder) is on pace to return to full-contact practice on Nov. 6.
The Sixers announced earlier in the week that they hope MCW will be able to return to game action on Nov. 13, this timetable makes sense in that respect. He's still very valuable in all formats, but he's starting to develop something of an injury history.
Thu Oct 23 201419:11Carter-Williams (shoulder) targeting to return for Sixers' Nov
Carter-Williams (shoulder) is targeting to return for the Sixers' Nov. 13 game against the Mavericks, ESPN.com reports.
Carter-Williams has been sidelined since undergoing surgery on his right shoulder in May. While the reigning Rookie of the Year is thought to be ahead of schedule, Carter-Williams still hasn't been cleared for contact. On the bright side, Carter-Williams and fantasy owners now have a target date for his return, which helps clarify his situation. Whenever he takes the court, Carter-Williams is an very intriguing commodity, after averaging 16.7 points, 6.3 assists, 6.2 rebounds and 1.9 steals in 34.5 minutes last season.
Tue Oct 14 201417:33Michael Carter-Williams: (Shoulder) "A Ways Away" From Full-Contact Basketball
Carter-Williams (shoulder) said Monday that the original diagnosis was that he'd miss six-to-nine months, meaning the injury was more serious than typical labrum surgery, the The Intelligencer's Tom Moore reports.
He has missed five months and a week since the May 6 operation, and has yet to scrimmage, and while Carter-Williams says he's "plenty ahead of schedule," coach Brett Brown said his starting point guard is "a ways away" from full-contact basketball. The one thing that is clear is that the two-to-four month timetable that was originally reported is bogus, and owners should now operate under the knowledge that MCW could be out for three more weeks, or, possibly longer. Carter-Williams said that if it was up to him he would already be out there, and he's just following doctor's orders, but given the fact that the Sixers clearly don't plan on competing this season, they may opt to be overly cautious with the franchise point guard. Tony Wroten will be the primary benefactor as long as Carter-Williams is out.

Carter-Williams (shoulder) says he feels "unbelievable," but coach Brett Brown indicated the point guard is still "a few weeks away from playing physical, 5-on-5 basketball," Tom Moore of Calkins Media reports.
Carter-Williams is slightly ahead of schedule in his return from labrum surgery, but at this point his status appears bleak for the regular season opener Oct. 29 in Indianapolis. He'll likely be back in the mix in early November, and it could take a few contests for him to find his stride and return to game shape. Tony Wroten will step in as the starter for any games Carter-Williams misses, but he'll likely return to the bench upon the reigning Rookie of the Year's return.

Carter-Williams (shoulder) isn't likely to begin 5-on-5 work any time soon, Tom Moore of Calkins Media reports. "I still think (MCW) is still a few weeks away from full court 5-on-5," coach Brett Brown said.
This comes as no surprise, as Carter-Williams is yet to participate in practices since undergoing labrum surgery back in May. While he's likely to miss most or all of the preseason, there's still a chance he'll be ready to go on opening night. At this point, Carter-Williams should be evaluated on a week-to-week basis.

Carter-Williams (shoulder) won't play in Wednesday's preseason game, the Charlotte Observer's Rick Bonnell reports.
He still hasn't been cleared to scrimmage in practice, so it's no surprise he'll sit out Wednesday's exhibition. His status for the start of the regular season isn't believed to be in jeopardy, but it's worth checking on his status before drafting him in fantasy.

Carter-Williams (shoulder) has not yet been cleared to scrimmage following surgery on his left shoulder back in May, The Intelligencer reports.
Carter-Williams also doesn't have a timetable for his return determined at the moment. While the reigning Rookie of the Year remains sidelined, teammate Tony Wroten will begin training camp and the preseason as the Sixers' starting point guard. Although Carter-Williams said Monday that he shouldn't be out too long, coach Brett Brown was unsure of his point guard's readiness for the beginning of the regular season. As a result of Carter-Williams' cloudy status, expect his situation to be updated throughout the coming weeks.

Carter-Williams (shoulder) will not be a full participant when Sixers camp opens, Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Carter-Williams continues to work back from labrum surgery in May and won't be a full participant when camp opens Sept. 30. The second-year guard is taking his time in recovering and has reportedly added 11 pounds to his slender frame. The Sixers hope that extra weight will allow him to absorb contact more easily and increase his shooting percentage out of the 40 percent range.

Carter-Williams (shoulder) is progressing in his recovery from surgery but is not yet ready for full five-on-five contact, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. "Things are coming along," GM Sam Hinkie said. "I haven't seen the full report of late and haven't seen the most recent checkup. He can shoot and is working hard. He is not ready for full five-on-five contact."
Carter-Williams underwent surgery in May to repair the labrum in his right shoulder. The Sixers have not established a firm return timetable, though the reigning Rookie of the Year is expected to ready for the start of training camp.
Wed Jul 30 201411:1776ers object to draft lottery rule changes
The 76ers have strongly objected to proposed rule changes for the NBA's draft lottery system.
The rule changes have yet to be finalized, but according to ESPN.com they will "balance out lottery odds so that the worst team or teams wouldn't have the highest chances of landing the top pick." Such a change would dissuade teams from intentionally tanking to improve their draft position, but it would also hurt teams like the 76ers whose long-term strategy is built around the existing draft rules.

Tue Jul 22 201416:17Michael Carter-Williams' shoulder progressing
Michael Carter-Williams (shoulder surgery) expects to be fully recovered prior to the start of training camp.
MCW has already been cleared to shoot and he's focused on improving various facets of his game. "[I'll work on] my three-point shot, getting a little bit stronger, and my pull-up shot," said the reigning Rookie of the Year. "Those are the three things that I'm really working on this offseason to expand my game and make the game easier on myself." He made only 104-of-519 jump shots last season (20.0 percent), and was 26.4 percent from downtown, so any improvement would be eagerly welcomed.

Wed Jul 9 201423:09Carter-Williams (shoulder) ahead of schedule
Michael Carter-Williams says his rehabilitation is going better than expected and that he's already shooting, and ahead of schedule after right shoulder surgery on May 6.
"I'm back to shooting," said MCW. "I have full extension and everything. So I'm ahead of schedule." While there have been some random trade rumors out there about the Rookie of the Year, all signs point to the Sixers being committed to him. We're not expecting him to go anywhere. Additionally, his shoulder has been bothering him for two years, so this procedure should have a big impact on how he feels on the court going forward.
