Jackson reached base five times Tuesday, going 4-for-4 with two doubles, a walk, an RBI and stolen base against the Yankees.

Mon May 25 201522:28Austin Jackson: Activated From DL
Jackson (ankle) was activated from the disabled list after Monday's game, Bob Dutton of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
The Mariners optioned Danny Farquhar to Triple-A Tacoma in a corresponding move. Jackson was struggling before hitting the disabled list at the beginning of May, posting a meager .242/.294/.326 line with two homers and five steals before spraining his ankle. Nonetheless, assuming he's fully healthy, Jackson should retake the starting role in center field for Seattle.

Manager Lloyd McClendon said the Mariners will discuss Monday whether or not Jackson (ankle) is ready to return from the disabled list, MLB.com's Greg Johns reports.
Jackson recorded three hits during Saturday's rehab game at Triple-A Tacoma, creating optimism that he's close to fully recovered from the knee issue. Given the weak production Dustin Ackley and Justin Ruggiano have provided in center field over the last couple of weeks, it seems quite likely that the Mariners will bring Jackson back if he turns in another quality performance for Tacoma on Sunday.

Jackson (ankle) is unlikely to return for the Blue Jays' weekend series in Toronto, the Tacoma News Tribune's Bob Dutton reports.
He is starting this road trip with Triple-A Tacoma and there are some things the Mariners want him to work on at Triple-A before getting back in the mix in Seattle. A return in late-May is still possible, but expect him to remain with Tacoma this weekend.

Manager Lloyd McClendon said Jackson (ankle) will not be ready for the start of the Mariners' nine-game road trip that begins Tuesday in Baltimore, MLB.com's Greg Johns reports.
Jackson is eligible to first come off the disabled list Tuesday, but it looks like the Mariners will have him take part in a few more rehab games for Triple-A Tacoma before activating him. He made his first appearance for Tacoma as their DH on Saturday, going 2-for-4 at the dish. He's scheduled to play center field Sunday, but it's uncertain if he'll be in there for a full nine innings.

Jackson (ankle) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday, Bob Dutton of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Jackson will be limited to DH duty Saturday night, but it appears he is feeling good enough to see game action again. If he makes it through the next few days without a setback, he could be activated from the disabled list Tuesday when first eligible.

Jackson (ankle) was "so-so" while running Tuesday and may need a few more days before he's ready for a rehab assignment, MLB.com's Greg Johns reports.
Assuming he does not go on a rehab assignment until this weekend at the earliest, a late-May return from disabled list should be anticipated. In the meantime the Mariners are deploying Dustin Ackley against righties and Justin Ruggiano against lefties.
Mon May 4 201518:39Austin Jackson: (Ankle) Placed On DL
Jackson (ankle) was placed on the 15-day DL on Monday.
Jackson had earlier reported feeling hopeful that the ankle sprain he suffered during Sunday's contest wouldn't land him on the DL, but the team ultimately decided to do so. Given his optimism of avoiding such a stint, it's possible Jackson will only need to miss the minimum 15 days before returning. Justin Ruggiano figures to get the majority of the starts in his absence.

Jackson doesn't believe his sprained right ankle will end up forcing him to the disabled list, Bob Dutton of the Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Jackson rolled his ankle in Sunday's loss to the Astros when he was attempting to beat out a throw to first base. The Mariners should have more information on his condition by Monday, but even if Jackson is able to avoid the DL, it seems quite likely that he might not be ready to play during the team's three-game series with the Angels.
Sun May 3 201515:21Jackson left Sunday's game with sprained right ankle
Jackson left Sunday's game with a sprained right ankle, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.
Jackson turned the ankle on first base attempting to beat out a throw, and the team is calling it a sprain for the time being. The degree of severity can vary with this type of injury, so Jackson will be reevaluated prior to Monday's matchup with the Angels. If he needs a day or so off, Justin Ruggiano would be a likely replacement candidate.

Jackson left Sunday's game after turning his ankle on first base, MLB.com's Greg Johns reports.
Jackson was 0-for-2 at the plate before he needed to be replaced. The team will likely reevaluate him following Sunday's contest, but consider the center fielder day-to-day in advance of Monday's series opener against the Angels.

Mon Apr 27 201516:16Jackson not in lineup Monday against Rangers
Jackson is not in the lineup Monday against the Rangers.
Jackson has received just one day off this season as he's slashing .257/.295/.365, so it appears to just be a regular day of rest for the center fielder. Justin Ruggiano will lead off and take over the duties in center Monday.
Mon Apr 13 201517:37Jackson not in lineup for Monday's game against Dodgers
Jackson is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Dodgers, Eric Stephen of True Blue LA reports.
Jackson will get his first day off of the season in what appears to just be a regular rest day as he's 6-for-26 through six games so far. Dustin Ackley will slide over the center as part of the team's shifting of their outfielders to keep Nelson Cruz's bat in the lineup as they lose the DH against the Dodgers.
Sat Apr 11 201510:48Jackson 2-3 with walk in Friday's loss to Oakland
Jackson went 2-for-3 with a walk in Friday's loss to Oakland.
The Mariners have started Jackson in center field for each of the team's first four games, leading him off against right-handed starters, and hitting him second in the order while Rickie Weeks has been slotted into the leadoff spot against southpaws.
Wed Apr 8 201518:20Jackson 0-4 with strikeout in Tuesday's loss to Angels
Jackson went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in Tuesday's loss to the Angels.
Jackson slotted into the leadoff role on Opening Day -- in which he went 2-for-4 with a run scored -- but dropped down to the two spot Tuesday. He figures to fill in as the everyday center fielder, but the club indicated in the spring that Jackson could get some more regular days off this year in hopes of avoiding another late-season slide.

Jackson is expected to get more days off this year as the Mariners believe he wore down in last season's closing weeks, the Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Jackson was traded to Seattle at the deadline last year. After posting a .390 OBP for the Tigers in July, Jackson finished with a .267 OBP in Seattle. The plan is to keep him fresh for the long haul this year. Jackson is also trying to fix some mechanical issues in his swing this spring.
