He's been a disappointment for most fantasy owners however, as he's swiped just seven bases in only 11 attempts on the season.

Jackson was held out of Sunday's game after crashing into the center field wall Saturday while attempting to track down a Carlos Santana fly ball. Santana wound up with his first career inside-the-park home run and Jackson was left with some minor general soreness.

He had a 42/27 K/BB ratio in 49 games over the first three months, but since the beginning of July, he's at 44/9 in 33 games.

Jackson finished the evening 1-for-4. It's a nice start to the month of August for him, as he's coming off a rough .223/.273/.366 month of July where he homered twice and owned an 8/34 BB/K ratio. The 26-year-old outfielder is hitting .266/.339/.396 with seven homers, 26 RBI and six swipes on the season.

Austin Jackson went 4-for-6 with a two-run homer, a walk and four runs scored in the rout of the Blue Jays on Thursday.

It's the first time in 494 games that Jackson has scored four times. He'd probably in first place in the AL in runs scored right now if he hadn't gotten hurt earlier this season. As is, he's scored 51 runs in 53 games. Teammate Miguel Cabrera leads the circuit with 65 runs scored.
