Jackson was added to the active roster Tuesday.
The Cubs traded for Jackson on Monday but waited to add the veteran outfielder until Tuesday, as roster expansion enables the team to avoid a corresponding move. To date, he's played exclusively in center field, but he'll likely be asked to slide over to one or both corner outfield spots at some point.
