Mon Aug 23 201022:44Raburn has three hits in win over KC
Ryan Raburn was 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored in a 12-3 win over the Royals on Monday night.
He delivered with an RBI double in the fifth and knocked in two runs with a single in the sixth. Raburn has been a major fantasy disappointment for most of the season, however he is batting .311 with five home runs and 15 RBI this month. With Magglio Ordonez likely out for the season, the multi-position eligible Raburn could have some real value down the stretch.
Thu Aug 5 201016:33Tigers' Raburn hits three-run homer
Ryan Raburn hit a three-run homer off Bobby Jenks in the ninth inning Thursday to tie the game against the White Sox.
Raburn had come off the bench to hit for Wing Rhymes a couple of innings earlier. The Tigers don't love him in the infield, but he's probably their best offensive option at second base, even if he's had a rough year to date. Maybe the big hit today will get him a start Friday, but since the Angels are throwing Jered Weaver, we wouldn't count on it.
Mon Jul 26 201000:41Tigers' Raburn delivers three-run double
Ryan Raburn had a three-run double off the bench as the Tigers won the second game of Sunday's doubleheader against the Jays, 6-5.
With Carlos Guillen and Brandon Inge both on the DL, it will be interesting to see if the Tigers are willing to give Raburn more infield time. He's started 12 games at second so far, none at third. He has the most offensive upside of any of the players in the mix at those positions right now.
Tue Jun 15 201022:26Raburn slugs go-ahead three-run blast
Ryan Raburn hit a go-ahead three-run home run in a 7-4 win over the Nationals on Tuesday night.
Raburn, who slugged 16 home runs in 261 at-bats with the Tigers last season, entered Tuesday's action homerless through his first 85 at-bats this season. His fifth-inning three-run blast off Washington starter John Lannan broke a 4-4 tie. Raburn played in place of the injured Austin Jackson on Tuesday night, but he isn't likely to have much fantasy value going forward.
Sat May 22 201009:33Tigers recall Raburn for interleague series
Tigers recalled OF Ryan Raburn from Triple-A Toledo.
Raburn was demoted 10 days ago so the Tigers could have an extra pitcher, but they wanted his versatility in the National League parks in case a double-switch was in order. Casper Wells was sent back to Triple-A in order to clear a spot for Raburn.
Wed May 12 201009:59Tigers send OF Raburn to Triple-A
Tigers optioned OF Ryan Raburn to Triple-A Toledo.
Raburn was cleared to make space on the 25-man roster for Alfredo Figaro. It's a minor surprise, but rookie outfielder Brennan Boesch has simply outperformed him. Raburn is batting just .213/.315/.362 with zero homers and five RBI over 47 at-bats this season.
