Right-handed hitters have just a .102 average versus Brach, who thinks he may have rushed a bit before pitching to the outfielder as the Orioles had just committed a two-run error. "I wish I could have maybe just thrown a ball there or something out of the zone," Brach said. "Just kind of re-set there because it would have been nice to have one extra pitch. Obviously, I wasn't really thinking clear there for that one pitch and unfortunately he made me pay for it."

Brach said he's probably got to stop thinking so much and just go out and pitch. "I don't know what's different, just, like I said, probably just thinking about it too much, worrying about every single pitch that I've thrown instead of going out there and throwing like I know I can," Brach said.

Brach (5-3) surrendered two hits and an earned run over an inning in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Blue Jays.
Brach came on in the ninth to preserve a 3-3 tie and surrendered a fielder's choice ground out to Justin Smoak that plated Dalton Pompey. The 29-year-old reliever had successfully converted all 13 hold situations he'd encountered during the 2015 campaign prior to Monday's contest, and had also posted scoreless appearances in eight out of his previous nine trips to the mound. Monday's hiccup notwithstanding, Brach has turned in generally solid relief work for the Orioles, particularly post-All-Star break. He has posted a sparkling 1.63 ERA in the second half of the season.
