Tue Jul 23 201321:18Ryan Hanigan to return on Thursday
Ryan Hanigan (wrist) is expected to be activated from the disable list on Thursday.
It's the first day he's eligible. "He's doing very well," Reds athletic trainer Paul Lessard said. "His catching with the left hand, and moving the glove has been fine. It's just the velocity of his swing and the force on his hand, which is kind of in question." Devin Mesoraco has been swinging a hot bat, so the Reds can afford to ease Hanigan back into things if they want.

Mon Jun 10 201323:49Ryan Hanigan goes 0-for-4 in loss
Ryan Hanigan went 0-for-4 on Monday, leaving him with a .170 average after 100 at-bats.
Devin Mesoraco now has about 200 points of OPS on Hanigan and is playing a bit more than expected, but the Reds love Hanigan's presence behind the plate and probably won't drop him on the depth chart. Still, even with Hanigan playing 60 percent of the time, Mesoraco is the better fantasy catcher.
