Mon Jun 28 201021:50Broxton unavailable on Monday and Tuesday
Dodgers manager Joe Torre said that Jonathan Broxton will be unavailable on Monday and Tuesday.
That's not a surprise. Broxton threw 48 pitches on Sunday and has worked at least one inning in four out of the last five days. He should be plenty rested by Wednesday.

Mon Jun 28 201000:51Broxton blows four-run lead against Yanks
After not giving up a run in his first 10 appearances this month, Jonathan Broxton gave up four in the ninth Sunday to blow a lead against the Yankees.
Broxton was given a four-run lead, so this doesn't qualify as a blown save. It surely was one, though, and his ERA jumped from 0.83 to 1.87. It was the first time since May 11, 2008 that he had been charged with four earned runs.
Thu May 27 201000:03Broxton gets a five-out save
Jonathan Broxton picked up a five-out save in Wednesday's win over the Cubs.
Broxton was summoned in the eighth inning with a man on first and one out. He promptly induced a double play and then worked a perfect ninth. After getting a little time off earlier this week, Broxton needed just 16 pitches to get five outs tonight. He's one of the best closers in fantasy.
Sun May 23 201017:46Broxton and Kuo off for Dodgers on Sunday
Jonathan Broxton and Hong-Chih Kuo were both unavailable for the Dodgers on Sunday.
Broxton had saved three games in a row and Kuo pitched on Saturday and isn't being used in back-to-back days. Both will be back if needed the next time the team takes the field. Torre said he would use matchups if the Dodgers are ahead in the later innings of Sunday's game.

Sat May 22 201022:20Broxton records 10th save for Dodgers
Jonathan Broxton picked up his 10th save Saturday despite giving up his first run in nine appearances.
Broxton may be a little tired at the moment. After the April save drought, he's worked 10 of the last 17 days, including the last three in a row. He's picked up nine saves in the process, and we imagine that anyone who traded him because of the Dodgers' early troubles is feeling pretty silly right now.
Fri May 7 201001:55Broxton blows save, gets victory
Jonathan Broxton blew the save, only to be credited with a win, after giving up two runs in the ninth Thursday against the Brewers.
The lack of activity probably deserves some blame here. With the Dodgers generating just three save chances so far this year, Broxton entered having pitched only nine innings. He hadn't worked since April 30.
Sun Apr 18 201018:54Broxton notches first save to beat Giants
Jonathan Broxton pitched a perfect ninth inning to close out a 2-1 win over the Giants on Sunday for his first save of the season.
The Dodgers were down 1-0 in the eighth, but Manny Ramirez hit a pinch-hit two-run blast to put the club up 2-1. Broxton had yet to receive a save opportunity during the first two weeks of the season, but he looked as good as ever today and the opportunities will surely come.
