Gosselin went 2-for-4 with a double, walk, RBI, and run Friday in a loss to the Cubs.

Gosselin has started four of the last five games for the D-backs and has hit well, going 5-for-17 with a .294/.455/.588 line and three runs, five RBI, and four walks without a strikeout. The 26-year-old doesn't have a high ceiling, but he's the kind of scrappy middle infielder the Diamondbacks seem to love, and with the bar to clear for playing time not especially high he will continue to see lots of at-bats for the rest of the season so the team can evaluate his role for 2016.

Gosselin went 1-for-5 in a loss to the Rockies on Wednesday.

Gosselin has started three out of four games for the D-backs since being activated from the disabled list. With Aaron Hill battling some minor injuries, Gosselin could continue to see regular playing time as Arizona gets to know the player they acquired in the Touki Toussaint trade a little better.

Gosselin started at second base in both games of Tuesday's doubleheader victories over the Rockies, going a collective 2-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, three walks, and two runs scored.

The Diamondbacks appear committed to giving Gosselin a sustained run of playing time following his activation from the 60-day DL on Monday, as he's started in each of the three games since at the expense of either Chris Owings or Nick Ahmed. Gosselin's three-run homer came in the seventh inning of Game 1, giving Arizona some necessary breathing room in a contest they'd only win by two runs. The 26-year-old hasn't historically shown much pop in his bat, but his career .280 average and .332 on-base percentage at the MLB level suggests he can at least be a solid contributor in those categories.

Gosselin (thumb) has been activated from the 60-day disabled list and will start at second base Monday, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

Gosselin was traded to the Diamondbacks during his stint on the disabled list with an avulsion fracture of his left thumb. He will finally make his return to the field Monday, batting seventh for the Diamondbacks.

Gosselin has already spent two months on the DL due to an avulsion fracture in his left thumb. Thus, the move was made in order to restock the bullpen with the addition of Zack Godley.

Gosselin was traded as the Braves received Touki Toussaint and Bronson Arroyo in return. He is still recovering from a thumb injury and could be out still until the All-Star break. His role on the team still remains unclear for now.

Gosselin (thumb) was placed on the 15-day DL on Monday, and he's expected to undergo surgery later this week that will keep him out for roughly eight weeks.

Tests revealed an avulsion fracture in Gosselin's left thumb, and he's now headed for surgery that will likely keep him on the shelf until after the All-Star break. Chris Johnson (hand) is also sidelined, so Alberto Callaspo and Pedro Ciriaco are expected to handle most of the third base duties for the time being. The Braves also brought up Adonis Garcia from Triple-A Gwinnett, so he could factor into the lineup in certain situations.

It's not immediately clear how long Gosselin will be sidelined, but early indications point toward him missing more than just the minimum two weeks. With Chris Johnson (hand) also sidelined, Alberto Callaspo and Pedro Ciriaco will handle the third base duties for the Braves for the time being.

Gosselin left Sunday's game against the Marlins due to a left thumb sprain.

Just as Gosselin had seemingly secured a regular role at third base, he suffered a minor injury and had to be removed. The Braves have a team day off Monday, so look for Gosselin to be a game-time call in advance of Tuesday's series opener against the Rays.

Gosselin will make his third consecutive start at third base Sunday against the Marlins, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

With both Chris Johnson (hand) and Kelly Johnson (back) on the disabled list, it appears manager Fredi Gonzalez has turned to Gosselin for regular duty at the hot corner. The fact that he's seeing consistent at-bats should put Gosselin on the radar in NL-only leagues, but as a low-power singles hitter, there's not a ton of upside to be had in the fantasy realm.

There was some confusion with the Braves' lineup, with the team's beat writers initially reporting that Jace Peterson would start at second base, but Gosselin will slot in for his first start of the year. Gosselin will fill a utility role moving forward, seeing occasional opportunities around the infield and in the corner outfield.

Gosselin will not get the start at second base Friday, which contradicts a previous report, the Atlanta Journal Constitution's David O'Brien reports.

The Braves' Twitter account tweeted a lineup with Gosselin playing second base, but that was apparently either incorrect or manager Fredi Gonzalez changed his mind. Jace Peterson will get the start at the keystone Friday instead.

Gosselin will start at second base and bat second Friday against the Mets.

The 26-year-old Gosselin will spell Jace Peterson at the keystone with lefty Jonathan Niese on the hill for New York. Gosselin hit .275/.339/.314 against lefties last season in a relatively small sample (51 at-bats), but he is not expected to be deployed in a true platoon with Peterson and instead figures to see time here and there in the infield and corner outfield spots.

Gosselin is penciled in for a backup infield spot, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

After a hot month of August, Gosselin struggled in September and he entered Friday with just a 7-for-31 mark in spring action. Jace Peterson appears to have the inside track at second base, but manager Fredi Gonzalez wants to maximize the versatility of his bench, and Gosselin can play both the infield and the corner outfield. With Gosselin looking like a good bet to break camp with the club, that leaves Kelly Johnson, Joe Terdoslavich, Zoilo Almonte, Eury Perez and Todd Cunningham to compete for the final two bench spots.

Gosselin is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Phillies.

Gosselin will get the day off after playing third base and shortstop the last couple days. Emilio Bonifacio will enter the lineup in Gosselin's place and start at second base.

Gosselin is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Pirates.

Gosselin will get the day off after starting every game since September 8. Emilio Bonafacio gets the nod at second base and will bat leadoff against Pirates' starter Jeff Locke.

Gosselin will start his eighth straight game Wednesday against the Nationals, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

In light of Tommy La Stella's recent offensive struggles, Gosselin seems to have emerged as manager Fredi Gonzalez's preferred option at second base. Though Gosselin continues to carry a .296 average over 93 at-bats this season and has ascended to the leadoff spot in the order, he's still largely devoid of production in all of the other major rotisserie categories. For now, he's primarily an NL-only or deep league roster consideration.

Gosselin picked up a spot start at shortstop Sunday and went 2-for-4 with a walk in the Braves' loss to the Reds.

Gosselin is hitting for average (.304 in 46 at-bats) but very little power (two extra-base hits) since getting called up. Tommy La Stella, who has a similar high-average, low-power skill set, has been getting more of the starts at second base, but Gosselin also is getting spot starts for Andrelton Simmons here-and-there.

Gosselin went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and a couple of runs scored in Friday's 7-2 victory over the A's.

Gosselin got the start at shortstop Friday night for the Braves and belted the first home run of his young MLB career. The 25-year-old utility man was in the lineup in place of Andrelton Simmons (mouth), but should return to his bench role Saturday.

He replaces Tyler Pastornicky on the active roster. The 25-year-old has been on a tear at Triple-A, slashing .344/.379/.487 with five homers, 31 RBI and six stolen bases in his 96 games.
