Miles (illness) is doubtful to play Saturday against the Nets, Candace Buckner of the Indianapolis Star

Miles had trouble breathing near the end of Friday's loss to the Pistons and was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection. He'll receive treatment this afternoon but remains unlikely to play, barring significant improvement.

Miles had some trouble breathing toward the end of Friday's game against the Pistons, the Indianapolis Star reports.

Miles has been fighting an upper-respiratory infection in recent days and had trouble breathing at the end of Friday's game, which forced the Pacers to go small. He's been able to play through the illness -- Miles logged 32 minutes against Detroit -- but it wouldn't be a surprise if his minutes were scaled back Saturday against Brooklyn.

Miles (illness) scored 11 points (4-13 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT) with six rebounds, two assists, and two steals in the win over the Pelicans on Tuesday. He played 27 minutes.

Miles played through an upper respiratory infection and the illness appeared to take a toll as he had his lowest score in the last five games. He is a streaky scorer and he may lose some opportunities because of the return of George Hill.

His minutes could be curtailed slightly if he is not feeling well, but it sounds like he will be given the chance to play through the illness Tuesday.

However, he's been too inconsistent to be a reliable fantasy option. This month, he has three games of single-digit points and in November, he shot 18.2 percent from the floor. For the time being, he could be worth using in daily leagues if he has a favorable matchup, as he did against the Timberwolves.

Miles scored 17 points (6-14 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 3-5 FT) and added there rebounds, three assists and one steal in 35 minutes of action against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday.

When Miles gets minutes he produces. In his last seven games, when he has received more than 25 minutes he has scored 15 or more points. In games with less than 25 minutes, he has scored five and six points. As long as this team has players out Miles will continue to get time on the court.

Miles (knee) scored 20 points (8-16 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT) to go along with one steal in 26 minutes Monday against the Lakers.

Miles has scored at least 15 points in three of his last four games and has been providing a nice offensive boost to the Pacers. He's not going to contribute much in rebounds or assists, leaving him with limited fantasy value even with his improved scoring numbers.

Miles left Friday's contest with a bruised left knee, and it caused him to miss Saturday's game against the Trailblazers as well. Miles is averaging 9.1 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 22 minutes this season, and saw a season-high 34 minutes of action against the Clippers last Wednesday. He should continue to receive north of 20 minutes assuming his knee doesn't cause him any pain.

Miles (knee) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Blazers.

Although Miles was confident he was would be able to play against Portland, it seems he was unable to convince the training staff that the knee could hold up. Chris Copeland appears in line to start at small forward for Indianapolis, while Miles casts an eye toward returning Monday against Los Angeles.

Miles (knee) underwent tests after Friday's game and no further damage was revealed beyond a bruise and he thinks he will be well enough to play Saturday, the Indianapolis Star's Candace Buckner reports.

He reported some swelling under his knee cap and said it was still sore, but since the tests revealed no further damage, he should be back on the court soon, and possibly Saturday.

Miles saw an uptick in minutes against the Pacers on Monday after Ian Mahinmi (foot) was ruled out for 6-8 weeks. How many minutes Miles will receive in the future remains to be seen, but there is a chance Miles continues to get minutes as the Pacers are really looking for healthy bodies.

He has been cleared to play, but the Pacers are expected to be careful with his playing time, so Monday is probably not the best time to deploy him in daily leagues.

The Pacers don't play again until Saturday, and if he can get in a full practice or two before then, Miles could return to the floor. Solomon Hill, Chris Copeland and Rodney Stuckey will likely all get added minutes in his place.
