Tue Jul 1 201413:30Pacers hoping to use exception on Miles
The Pacers are pushing to use the $2.1 million exception on C.J. Miles.
They are meeting with him on Tuesday and could certainly use a bench shooter with Evan Turner and Rasual Buter unlikely to be back. The Pacers tend not to count on their bench much, so there wouldn't be much of a chance for Miles to produce in fantasy while the Pacers are healthy.

Tue Jul 1 201401:41Miles to meet with the Pacers
Unrestricted free agent C.J. Miles will meet with the Pacers on Tuesday.
The Pacers have to look at players like this due to their cap issues, particularly if they want to re-sign Lance Stephenson. Miles would be an upgrade over Evan Turner, as bad as that sounds for the former No. 2 overall pick.

Wed Apr 16 201412:28C.J. Miles (ankle) out for Cavs' final game
C.J. Miles (ankle) will not play in the Cavaliers' season finale.
Miles hasn't played since mid-February and his absence is no surprise. He's heading into free agency and the Cavaliers have expressed an interest in re-signing him, as his 39.3 percent shooting from downtown this season gives him consistent appeal as a perimeter specialist.

Sat Apr 12 201409:14C.J. Miles (ankle) likely done for season
C.J. Miles (sprained ankle) hinted that his season might be over.
"I don't really have that much time," he said. "I've got a certain amount of time before it fatigues because it's not strong enough yet." The Cavaliers wrap up their season with games on Saturday and Wednesday, and we're not expecting Miles to risk a setback with unrestricted free agency looming on the horizon.

Wed Apr 9 201419:34C.J. Miles still out on Wednesday
C.J. Miles (ankle) will not play against the Pistons on Wednesday.
He has been going through some physical activities, but there is not much optimism about a return. "C.J. took part in our shootaround a little bit today," coach Mike Brown said. "Beyond that, we'll see how they progress." Dion Waiters has really stepped it up and the Cavs haven't missed Miles much since he's been out.

Tue Apr 1 201414:04C.J. Miles ruled out for Wednesday vs. Magic
C.J. Miles (ankle) will miss Wednesday's game against Orlando.
Miles will be joined on the inactive list by Anderson Varejao and Anthony Bennett and it's unclear exactly any of them will return. Cleveland has an outside shot at the playoffs, but one or two more losses would essentially end their hopes and could spark a decision to shut down all three players. Miles has only played two minutes since mid-February, so he shouldn't be on any fantasy rosters at this point.

Fri Mar 28 201422:21C.J. Miles (ankle) sits vs. Nets on Friday
C.J. Miles (ankle) missed another game on Friday and there is no clear date for his return.
Miles has played a grand total of two minutes since mid-February and it's anyone's guess when he might be healthy enough to return. With Dion Waiters established as a go-to scorer in Kyrie Irving's absence, there's precious little upside for Miles even if he does resume playing in the near future.

Mon Mar 24 201411:59C.J. Miles (ankle) sits out again Sunday
C.J. Miles sat out again on Sunday due to his sprained left ankle.
He's been sidelined for about five weeks, not including a short-lived comeback attempt on March 18, and it's anyone's guess if his ankle will fully heal this season. He should be ignored until we've seen him make it through a game in one piece.

Sat Mar 22 201412:07C.J. Miles (ankle) will not play Saturday
C.J. Miles (ankle) will not play vs. the Rockets on Saturday.
He played two minutes on Tuesday following a month-long absence, but the activity didn't suit him and he's right back on the sidelines. Miles is averaging 9.9 points in under 20 minutes per game off the bench this season, reducing him to a 3-point specialist even when he's fully healthy.

Thu Mar 20 201412:43C.J. Miles declared out for Tues vs OKC
C.J. Miles (ankle) will miss Tuesday's game against Oklahoma City.
Miles played two minutes on Tuesday after missing 12 games, but will return to the inactive list again on Thursday. It's unclear whether the Cavs are simply playing it safe with Miles or if he re-injured his ankle, but Alonzo Gee and Matthew Dellavedova will both benefit from Miles and Luol Deng's absence on Thursday.

Wed Mar 19 201400:56C.J. Miles plays two minutes Tuesday
C.J. Miles played two minutes on Tuesday after missing 12 straight games with an ankle injury.
He didn't score, and as long as Dion Waiters and Jarrett Jack are healthy, probably won't have any fantasy value the rest of the way.

Tue Mar 18 201418:46C.J. Miles, Dellavedova available on Tuesday
C.J. Miles (ankle) and Matthew Dellavedova (ankle) will both be available for Tuesday's game vs. the Heat.
Miles hasn't played in a month so he's unlikely to get many minutes, though the Cavs could certainly use his outside shooting with Kyrie Irving and Luol Deng both unavailable due to injuries.

Sun Mar 16 201421:12C.J. Miles (ankle) out again on Sunday
C.J. Miles (ankle) will not play on Sunday.
He's getting close to a return, however, and could return to action vs. the Heat on Tuesday. Miles is a streaky scorer whose perimeter shooting is sporadically helpful for fantasy owners, but he belongs on the waiver wire at least until we've seen him in action.

Sat Mar 15 201418:25C.J. Miles (ankle) may return Saturday
C.J. Miles (ankle) felt good during Saturday's practice and he's questionable to play vs. the Clippers on Sunday.
Miles has been out for nearly a month and he's bound to have some rust whenever he does return. With Dion Waiters playing well and Cleveland trying to make a late charge at the playoffs, it's doubtful that Miles will provide more than a handful of points and 3-pointers.

Fri Mar 14 201421:47C.J. Miles (ankle) not playing vs. Warriors
C.J. Miles (ankle) is not playing against the Warriors on Friday.
He has been out since Feb. 19 and the Cavs won't need him much with Dion Waiters looking healthy. Jarrett Jack and Luol Deng should also see a full load of minutes.

Fri Mar 14 201413:58C.J. Miles listed as doubtful
C.J. Miles (ankle) is doubtful for Friday's game against the Warriors.
Miles hasn't played since Feb. 19. Dion Waiters will continue to be the primary scorer for the second unit.

Thu Mar 13 201418:34C.J. Miles (ankle) doubtful to return Friday
C.J. Miles (ankle) didn't practice on Thursday and he's unlikely to play on Friday.
Miles hasn't played since Feb. 19 but he's at least traveling with the Cavs and seems to be inching closer to a return. In the meantime, Jarrett Jack and Dion Waiters will continue to lock down the SG position as Cleveland tries to make the playoffs with a late-season surge.

Wed Mar 12 201414:14C.J. Miles will not play on Wednesday night
C.J. Miles (left ankle) will not play against the Suns on Wednesday.
The Cavs were hopeful he'd be ready for this upcoming three-game trip, but it's not going to happen for the first game. Miles should have a chance to play on Friday vs. the Warriors and Sunday vs. the Clippers might be a worst-case scenario. The Cavs have been off since Saturday, so there's no reason to think Jarrett Jack and Luol Deng will not get a ton of minutes at shooting guard and small forward, respectively.

Tue Mar 11 201414:59C.J. Miles (ankle) doesn't practice Tuesday
C.J. Miles (sprained left ankle) didn't practice on Tuesday and he's questionable to face the Suns on Wednesday.
It seems unlikely that Miles would play without practicing, but we should get a clearer picture of his status after Wednesday's shootaround. He is expected to return during Cleveland's current three-game road trip which continues with games Friday vs. the Warriors and Sunday vs. the Clippers.

Tue Mar 11 201410:42C.J. Miles will return on Cavs' road trip
C.J. Miles (ankle) will return on the Cavaliers' three-game road trip.
The road trip begins on March 12 and Miles is planning on returning during one of those games. "I'm aiming to play on this West Coast trip, to play the first game," Miles said. "If not the first game, I'm sure I'll be able to play on this trip the way I've been feeling the last couple days." Owners who have held onto Miles will likely get him back on Wednesday against the Suns or Friday against the Warriors, but the 6-foot-6 swingman is too hit-or-miss to be relied upon in anything but deeper leagues.
