McCollum fractured his right index finger during Monday's win over New Orleans and will be reevaluated in four weeks, John Canzana of The Oregonian reports.
The injury occurred midway through the fourth quarter while battling for an offensive rebound. The second-year guard, who is averaging 13.1 minutes off the bench, has struggled from the floor (37.2% FG) but has proven to be a capable three-point shooter (45.8% 3Pt) and ranks ninth on the team in minutes. Expect to see more of Allen Crabbe and Will Barton off the bench over the next month.

McCollum scored 15 points (4-7 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-6 FT), with two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 23 minutes during Wednesday's win over the Nuggets.
McCollum got extra run due to this game getting out of hand early, and Trail Blazers' fans had to be happy with what they saw. The young shooting guard has major upside, and we're hoping that a game like this could springboard him towards getting some extra minutes. He's a player to monitor moving forward.

McCollum mustered five points (1-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and one assist in 10 minutes during Saturday's defeat at the Clippers.
McCollum's run has ranged from one to 21 minutes through six games, but the second-year guard followed up a 13-point outburst from Thursday's blowout of the Mavericks with another fair showing. Until he garners a consistent workload, though, he should remain on watch lists in all but the deepest of leagues, as Steve Blake has so far been the guard of note off Portland's bench.
Mon Nov 3 201406:07McCollum played just three minutes in Sunday's loss to Warriors
McCollum played just three minutes in Sunday's loss to the Warriors.
McCollum averaged 13 minutes off the bench in the Trail Blazers' first two games, and after he failed to define himself in those limited minutes, coach Terry Stotts opted to give Will Barton the majority of the backup shooting guard minutes Sunday. While McCollum's potential to someday be a starting point guard of an NBA makes him an attractive player to keep on watch lists, it appears the Blazers are going to use Steve Blake as their primary backup at point guard, leaving sparse minutes for McCollum to get playing time behind the iron man Wesley Matthews.
Tue Jul 15 201417:50C.J. McCollum gets hot, scores 28 points
C.J. McCollum was remarkably efficient vs. the Hawks on Tuesday, making 10-of-16 from the field for 28 points with three rebounds, one assist, one steal and six 3-pointers.
He had an effective field goal percentage of 105.6 for 19 points in the first half, but the Blazers took their foot off the gas in an easy win. McCollum has been fantastic on offense this summer and will be worth watching in deeper leagues.

Sun Jul 13 201422:55C.J. McCollum gets it going vs. Houston
C.J. McCollum scored 19 points with five boards, three assists, two steals, one turnover and one 3-pointer.
He made all six shots from the line and the Blazers continue to count on him as their go-to guy. They are probably not going to bring back Mo Williams, suggesting McCollum has some playing time coming his way.

Sat Jul 12 201419:07C.J. McCollum has an inefficient line
C.J. McCollum shot 4-of-11 from the field and 7-of-13 from the line for 16 points with one board, two assists, four steals and one 3-pointer.
His steals weren't cheapies either and his quick hands were on display. On the other end, McCollum was involved in a majority of the plays, which was the story last year as he led the summer league in shot attempts per game. Hopefully, he can stay healthy and get some more minutes in his second season.

Fri May 16 201416:16C.J. McCollum headed to summer league
C.J. McCollum said he will play in Las Vegas Summer League in July.
He was firing at will last summer in Vegas, leading the league with a whopping 20.2 shot attempts per game. McCollum's foot injury delayed the start of his NBA career, but he never really had much of a chance to shine while Damian Lillard and Wes Matthews were on the court. He should have a lot on his plate again in Vegas.

Fri Mar 14 201423:30C.J. McCollum not doing much
C.J. McCollum played just 12 minutes against the Pelicans on Friday with two points, two boards and two steals.
The loss of Mo Williams does not look like it will help the rookie and his coach doesn't quite trust him yet. Fantasy owners will have to wait a while before we see what the potential high-volume guy can do.

Mon Feb 24 201401:30C.J. McCollum gets booted from rotation
C.J. McCollum played just four minutes against the Wolves on Sunday.
He did not score and wasn't in the game at all in the second half. Coach Terry Stotts knows what he's doing and maybe he likes McCollum more while LaMarcus Aldridge (groin) is active. Regardless, McCollum has almost no value while Damian Lillard, Wes Matthews and Mo Williams are healthy.

Wed Feb 12 201401:27C.J. McCollum gets hot for 15 points
C.J. McCollum hit 5-of-12 shots and three 3-pointers for 15 points, three assists and two steals in 27 minutes of Tuesday's loss.
CJM has now scored 15 and 19 points in each of his last two games, and while we doubt it lasts, he should at least be on your radar at this point.

Sat Feb 8 201422:47C.J. McCollum scores career-high 19 points
C.J. McCollum scored a career-high 19 points against the Timberwolves on Saturday with three boards, three assists, two steals, three 3-pointers and four turnovers in 28 minutes.
He also put up career highs in minutes, assists, rebounds, turnovers and 3-pointers while matching his best in steals. Damian Lillard and Wes Mathews were in a bit of foul trouble tonight and it gave the rookie some extra playing time. Chances are this game wasn't enough to sway coach Terry Stotts to give McCollum more than his 13.6 minutes-per-game season average, but owners in deep leagues can give him a look for his impressive ceiling as a volume scorer.

Fri Feb 7 201422:49C.J. McCollum scores nine points off bench
C.J. McCollum scored nine points in 12 minutes against the Pacers on Friday.
He fell out of the rotation on Wednesday and returned due to Mo Williams (personal) not being with the team. McCollum won't be getting big minutes even with Damian Lillard and Wes Matthews as one of the best scoring backcourts in the NBA.

Tue Jan 21 201400:41C.J. McCollum gets some run w/ Lillard
C.J. McCollum played 15 minutes against the Rockets on Monday, scoring seven points with one board, one block and one 3-pointer.
While it wasn't much, tonight was the first game in which the rookie played next to Damian Lillard. McCollum could see a couple extra minutes should Nic Batum (finger) miss Tuesday's game, but it's not enough to move the needle on him as a pickup in most leagues.

Thu Jan 16 201402:56C.J. McCollum plays 12 minutes vs. Cavs
C.J. McCollum played 12 minutes off the bench against the Cavs on Wednesday with two points and two boards.
He plays almost all of his minutes next to Mo Williams and that didn't change tonight. McCollum seems like his minutes won't be cracking 16 while the Blazers are healthy, which means there's not a lot of affinity for fantasy owners to be drawn to the idea of picking him up.

Sun Jan 12 201402:35C.J. McCollum coming on nicely
C.J. McCollum had his best game as a pro with a career-high 10 points in 14 minutes against the Celtics on Saturday, adding one board, one assist and two 3-pointers.
He was feeling it with five of his six shots coming from beyond 17 feet. McCollum played 14 minutes off the bench in back-to-back games and looks quite comfortable next to Mo Williams. While we love what he did in Las Vegas Summer League and he's shown he can score in the small sample size with the big boys, he's still going to need some players to miss time in order to have value in most fantasy leagues.

Fri Jan 10 201415:56McCollum (foot) to play alongside Mo Williams
C.J. McCollum will play most of his minutes alongside Mo Williams for the time being, according to coach Terry Stotts
McCollum made his NBA debut on Wednesday, scoring four points with two boards and one steal in 14 minutes vs. Orlando. The Blazers have expressed their desire to play the rookie more at shooting guard, so this quote falls in line with everything else. McCollum has very little fantasy value despite some upside.

Thu Jan 9 201401:09C.J. McCollum makes his debut
C.J. McCollum made his NBA debut on Wednesday vs. the Magic, scoring four points with two boards, one steal and one turnover in 14 minutes.
He checked in during the first quarter and was in the rotation tonight. The Blazers used Will Barton more on Tuesday, which kept the rookie from getting action. McCollum is not worth owning in almost any league while the Blazers are healthy.

Mon Jan 6 201412:17C.J. McCollum will return on Tuesday
C.J. McCollum will be activated for Tuesday's game when the Blazers face the Kings, according to Comcast Sportsnet.
McCollum has a ton of talent and fantasy owners should keep an eye on the 21-year-old rookie. McCollum is coming off a broken left foot, but appeared healthy in the D-League. The Blazers plan to bring him along slowly.
