Davis (illness) is in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
Davis was a late scratch from Saturday's lineup, but he apparently made some progress overnight. He'll close out the first half with a tough matchup against Max Scherzer.

Davis (illness) slowly felt better as Saturday wore on, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
Davis began feeling ill around 5:30 Saturday night and took and IV when he got to the park. Manager Joe Buck did not update the exact illness, but Davis could be ready to go for Sunday's series finale.

Davis hit a pair of home runs en route to four RBI Tuesday against the Rangers.
The ball was flying out of the park in Baltimore on Tuesday, as Mitch Moreland also hit a pair of home runs. Davis now has a 10-game hitting streak, and he has raised his average on the season from .220 to .238 over that span.

Davis will make a second straight start in right field Sunday against the Indians, MLB.com's Brittany Ghiroli reports.
Apparently enamored with Chris Parmelee's bat but dissatisfied with his range in the corner outfield, manager Buck Showalter has moved Davis off first base in order to create a more optimal defense setup. While Davis is somewhat of a neophyte in the outfield in his own right, fantasy owners won't complain if it allows him to gain eligibility at the position.

Davis went 2-for-3 with a home run and three runs scored in Sunday's win over Toronto.
Davis was one of many Oriole hitters to have a big day on Sunday in a 13-9 win over the Blue Jays. He recorded his 15th home run of the year to go along with 40 RBI and a .226 average. The average is definitely a concern, but if Davis continues to produce in the power categories, he'll still remain a very solid fantasy option.

Davis went 3-for-5 with a home run and four RBIs in Friday's win over the Yankees.
The long ball marked the first of the month of June for Davis and he now has 13 for the season. There is certainly tremendous raw power and he may threaten 40 home runs for the season, but there is no question that his 2013 season looks to be a career year. Davis slugged .404 last year and he is slugging .476 this season, down from .501 in 2012 and .634 in 2013.

Davis was 2-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in the Orioles win over Tampa Bay on Friday night.
The streaky Davis has found his power stroke recently hammering four home runs over the last three days. He now has 12 long ones and 30 RBI, but strikeouts will continue to hobble his batting average (currently just .228) so take the power and enjoy the production while he's hot.

Davis hit a two-run homer in the ninth inning of the first game of Thursday's doubleheader against the White Sox, but it wasn't enough in a 3-2 loss.
It was his only hit on the day, but hey, Davis put the ball in play every time up -- not a common occurrence for him. He's going to keep piling up strikeouts, which are going to severely limit his ability to hit for average, but it seems like he's a lock to easily clear 30 homers as long as he can stay healthy.
Thu May 28 201501:20Davis 2-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Wednesday's victor...
Davis went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Wednesday's victory over the Astros.
Davis had not homered since May 11 prior to Wednesday's game, but he upped his total on the season to 10 with his first multi-homer game since he hit three in a May 20, 2014 contest. Despite the productive game Wednesday, Davis is still hitting just .171 in the month of May.
Mon May 25 201510:15Davis out of lineup Monday against Astros
Davis is out of the lineup Monday against the Astros, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
Davis will take a seat for the first time since his Opening Day suspension. It's likely just a well-deserved day off, with Steve Pearce playing first and Jimmy Paredes serving as the designated hitter. He should return to the lineup Tuesday, but more concern should arise if he's held out again for some reason.

Davis had a forgettable night Saturday, going 0-for-6 with four strikeouts in a 13-inning loss to Miami.
The strikeouts continue to pile up for Davis; he now has 61 in just 143 at-bats this season. This game lowered his average to .210, but fantasy owners should know what they're getting with the slugger at this point. He'll get his homers, but the strikeouts will keep his batting average in Adam Dunn territory.
Sat May 9 201517:44Davis 1-3 Saturday with solo home run, seventh jack of season
Davis went 1-for-3 Saturday with a solo home run, his seventh jack of the season.
He's keeping his batting average at a semi-respectable .253, and Saturday's home was Davis' fourth in his last 10 games. He's also struck out an incredible 46 times in 99 at-bats, however, so that batting average could take a big tumble at any moment.

Davis went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in the first inning Wednesday against the White Sox.
He's gone yard three times in the last four games now, racking up nine RBI in that span. All of a sudden, we're seeing the Davis fantasy owners signed up for -- the league's purest power hitter, with a batting average that doesn't hurt. However, he's still striking out prolifically -- with 29 whiffs in 81 plate appearances, his 35.8 percent strikeout rate is even worse than last year's.
Sat Apr 18 201520:42Davis 2-5 Saturday with two-run home run, second blast of season
Davis went 2-for-5 Saturday with a two-run home run, his second blast of the season.
He also struck out in his other three at-bats, giving him 18 K's in 39 at-bats on the season. His .256 batting average is solid, but Davis will have trouble staying at even that modest level unless he starts putting more balls in play.

Davis went 2-for-5 with a double, three RBI and a run -- but also three strikeouts -- in Wednesday's win over the Yankees.
Davis continues to whiff at a spectacular rate -- 15 times in 31 at-bats so far, and he hasn't drawn a walk. Worse, he's only managed a single homer through eight games. Davis still is a legitimate threat to hit 30 homers, but it doesn't look like his average is going to bounce back to a respectable level.
Tue Apr 14 201509:53Davis 0-4 with four strikeouts in Monday's loss to Yankees
Davis went 0-for-4 with four strikeouts in Monday's loss to the Yankees.
Davis now has 10 strikeouts in 23 at-bats. He needed 199 strikeouts to hit his 53 home runs in 2013 and only injury and suspension kept him from topping that pace last year. The 2013 season looks like a career year considering he hit .286, while his .196 average in 2014 is probably going to wind up closer to his career norm. Teams usually put on a defensive shift against Davis, and coupled with his high strikeout rate it will be difficult for him to be a batting average asset.
Fri Apr 10 201522:52Davis 2-4 with run scored in Friday's loss to Toronto
Davis went 2-for-4 with a run scored in Friday's loss to Toronto.
The hits were Davis' first two of the young season. In the three games he's played since missing Opening Day due to suspension, Davis has gone 2-for-10 with a run scored and three strikeouts.

Davis will bat fifth as the designated hitter in Tuesday's game in Tampa Bay, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports.
After serving the final game of his suspension on Opening Day, Davis will make his season debut against Rays right-hander Nate Karns, who has just five big-league starts to his name. Davis had a mediocre spring in the wake of his disappointing 2014 campaign, slashing .250/.313/.450 over 60 at-bats. He's been durable over the past few seasons, and he was approved for an exemption to take Adderall again.
