Dan Uggla has been playing with medical staples in his hand since Wednesday.
Uggla played Wednesday and Thursday and doesn't plan on missing any games. Despite having the worst offensive season of his career, he's batting .270 with seven doubles this month, and remains an NL-only option.

Thu Sep 27 201222:01Dan Uggla plates three as Braves top Marlins
Dan Uggla had two hits and drove home three runs, leading the Braves to a 6-2 victory over the Marlins on Thursday night.
Uggla finished the evening 2-for-4 with a double, run scored and three RBI. His RBI double off Jacob Turner got the Braves on the board in the fourth inning, and he added a two-run single in the seventh to provide valuable insurance runs. He's mired in the worst offensive season of his career, hitting a paltry .217/.343/.385 with 19 homers and 77 RBI.

Fri Sep 21 201221:50Uggla doubles twice in loss to Phillies
Dan Uggla went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and a run scored in a losing effort against the Phillies on Friday.
It only took the majority of the season, but Uggla's bat has finally started to show signs of life. Over his last 14 games, he's hitting .327 (16-for-49) with two homers, eight RBI and a 9/8 K/BB ratio.

Sun Sep 16 201223:17Dan Uggla delivers two-run single
Dan Uggla had a two-run single and a walk against the Nationals on Sunday night.
Uggla is 10-for-31 with a homer and four RBI in the Braves' last nine games. It's not exactly a hot streak, but it's a big improvement over his June, July and August.

Wed Sep 5 201215:28Uggla in Wednesday's lineup
Dan Uggla is in Wednesday's lineup against the Rockies.
This will be his first start since he was essentially removed from the starting second base job. Uggla is hitting just .208 with a .711 OPS this season, including a .643 OPS since the All-Star break, so his playing time figures to be limited unless he turns things around in a hurry. Martin Prado is playing shortstop Wednesday while Jose Constanza plays left field.

Mon Sep 3 201211:06Uggla to be docked playing time
Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez told Dan Uggla that he might not see as much playing time down the stretch.
Uggla is batting just .208 with a .713 OPS in 129 games this season and has been especially bad over the past three months. Jeff Baker stands to benefit, though he's doubtful to carry significant fantasy value.

Wed Aug 29 201200:51Uggla homers to support Medlens' gem
Dan Uggla launched a solo home run, supporting Kris Medlen's gem and helping the Braves to a 2-0 victory over the Padres in San Diego on Tuesday night.
The fifth inning solo blast off Andrew Werner was Uggla's only hit in four trips to the plate. He's having an extremely disappointing season, hitting just .207/.340/.370 with 16 homers and 63 RBI. Unless he has a miraculous final month of the season, he's likely to snap his streak of five straight seasons with 30 or more home runs.

Wed Aug 8 201223:03Uggla has second three-hit night since June 6
One night after getting the day off against Cole Hamels, Dan Uggla showed signs of life in Wednesday's rout of the Phillies, going 3-for-4 with a walk, double and three RBI.
Astonishingly, the three-hit night was just Uggla's second since June 6. That's a span of 51 games. He's now had multi-hit nights in back-to-back starts, however, and doubled in four of his seven August contests. Perhaps one of the league's most intense slumpers is finally awakening from his two-month doldrums.

Sat Aug 4 201221:53Uggla plates lone runs in loss to Astros
Dan Uggla lined a two-run single to center field in the sixth inning on Saturday, providing the Braves' only two runs in a 3-2 loss to the Astros.
Uggla finished the night 1-for-3. He's been a large disappointment to the Braves and fantasy owners alike this year, hitting just .211 with 12 homers and 54 RBI. The second baseman has eclipsed the 30-homer plateau each of the last five seasons, but it will take a tremendous second half to keep that streak alive.

Wed Aug 1 201222:28Dan Uggla gets on base twice in loss
Dan Uggla doubled home a run and drew a walk in Wednesday's loss to the Marlins.
It was only the fourth time in 17 games since the All-Star break that Uggla reached base twice, while the RBI was just his seventh since July 1. Uggla hit a mind-bogglingly poor .115/.281/.179 in July after hitting .160/.327/.321 in June. Something's got to give.

Wed Jul 25 201211:28Uggla not in Wednesday's lineup
Dan Uggla is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Marlins.
Uggla is merely getting the day off. He was hit in the helmet by a pitch during Tuesday's game, but passed all concussion tests. Martin Prado will start at second base Wednesday while Jose Constanza plays left field.

Thu Jul 19 201214:37Dan Uggla goes hitless in series
Dan Uggla went 0-for-3 on Thursday and 0-for-10 in the series against the Giants.
Uggla is just 3-for-26 since the Braves made the decision to drop him to the seventh spot in the order. There's really nothing for the team to do except ride out his slump and hope it doesn't last as long as last year's did.

Fri Jul 6 201218:11Uggla dropped to seventh in order
Dan Uggla was dropped down to seventh in the order for Friday's game against the Phillies.
It's the lowest he's hit in the order this season. Uggla is batting just .106 (9-for-85) with one home run over his last 26 games, so he could find himself in the bottom-third of the order until he turns things around.

Fri Jun 29 201209:01Dan Uggla could get day off
Dan Uggla could receive his first day off of the season on Friday.
Uggla is batting just .108 over his last 20 games following an 0-for-3, three-strikeout showing Thursday, so it's a good time for a breather. It would also allow the Braves to give a start to Jack Wilson, who hasn't received one since May 30. "I've been with him for six years. I know what he's capable of," manager Fredi Gonzalez said of Uggla. "I know you have to have patience with him, keep supporting him like we have been, give him a breather every once in a while, and I don't need to worry about him."

Sun Jun 10 201217:35Uggla leaves game 6 innings after HBP
Dan Uggla left Sunday's game against the Blue Jays in the eighth inning after he was hit in the ankle by a pitch in the second.
Uggla's ankle is fine, apparently, and he was given the last few innings off for rest and precautionary reasons. Consider him day-to-day, but we don't expect to see him miss a game.

Tue Jun 5 201221:50Dan Uggla homers twice, drives in five
Dan Uggla went 4-for-5 with a pair of homers and five RBI in Tuesday's blowout win over the Marlins.
Anibal Sanchez didn't have his good stuff in this one, and Uggla was one of many that made him pay. The two longballs now give him an even 10 for the season to go along with 37 RBI. Uggla has gone deep five times over the last 11 games.
