Rosario is out of the Rockies' lineup Wednesday against the Cubs, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.
This comes as no surprise, as Rosario caught all 16 innings of Tuesday's game in his fifth consecutive start for the Rockies. Mike McKenry will step in behind the plate and bat sixth Wednesday against left-hander Travis Wood.
Sun Jul 27 201421:38Rosario has two hits, scores twice on Sunday
Wilin Rosario went 2-for-3 with two runs scored in Sunday's loss to the Pirates.
Rosario doubled and scored in the second inning, and he also scored in the fourth. It's been a largely down year for the 25-year-old, who is hitting .243/.281/.411 with nine home runs and 31 runs scored. He has doubled in two of the past three games, maybe a sign that he's ready to start hitting for more power in the coming days.

Mon May 26 201423:03Wilin Rosario goes 0-for-4 in loss
Wilin Rosario went 0-for-4 and grounded into a double play in Monday's loss and is 0-for-12 the last three days.
Rosario went 5-for-14 with a homer in his first four games back from the DL, but he's hitless since. The Rockies had him batting fifth today, which isn't ideal given his typically low OBP. Better if that were Justin Morneau's spot, but since the Rockies made the switch to batting Troy Tulowitzki third and Carlos Gonzalez fourth, batting Morneau fifth puts lefties back-to-back.
