Rosario is out of the Rockies' lineup Wednesday against the Cubs, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.

This comes as no surprise, as Rosario caught all 16 innings of Tuesday's game in his fifth consecutive start for the Rockies. Mike McKenry will step in behind the plate and bat sixth Wednesday against left-hander Travis Wood.

Rosario doubled and scored in the second inning, and he also scored in the fourth. It's been a largely down year for the 25-year-old, who is hitting .243/.281/.411 with nine home runs and 31 runs scored. He has doubled in two of the past three games, maybe a sign that he's ready to start hitting for more power in the coming days.

The four-hit game came on the heels of a three-hit game on Friday, as Rosario is 7-for-10 with a home run, two doubles, three RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base in his last two games. He's struggled for much of the season, but the weekend was a good reminder of what Rosario is capable of when he's on.
